This battle takes place in a war-torn part of the world, and at the moment, deadly mustard gas covers the ground in a thick layer. For as far as the eye can see, the only thing that reaches up out of the deadly clouds is a huge, majestic wrought-iron bell tower which, for some unknown reason, has survived the chaos. Hanging in the tower is a single enormous crystal bell, which shimmers with an ancient, magical glow. The battlers can fight anywhere on the tower that they can stand on (or fly or hover or whatever), but they start out in the chamber containing the bell, with one battler on the north end and the other on the south end, with the bell between them. If a battler falls into, flies into, or otherwise makes contact with the mustard gas on the ground, they become severely poisoned as if with the attack Toxic (starting at 3% health per round and escalating from there), and for every action that they remain in the gas, they lose 5% health (in addition to the Toxic condition). At the end of every round (3 actions), the crystal bell rings, swinging back and forth and knocking off anybody who may be directly east or west of it. The bell's mysterious, otherworldly ring does one of the following:

(20%) chance of doing nothing at all,
(10%) chance of healing 5% health to all battlers,
(10%) chance of healing 5% energy to all battlers,
(10%) chance of reducing all status conditions' intensity by one level
(8%) chance of completely healing all minor status conditions (Attract, Confuse)
(8%) chance of completely healing all Burns
(8%) chance of completely healing all Freezing
(8%) chance of completely healing all Poison (including that which is dealt by the mustard gas)
(8%) chance of completely healing all Sleep
(8%) chance of completely healing all Paralysis
(2%) chance of raising all battlers' Attack and Special Attack to the maximum (+6) and reducing their Defense and Special Defense to the minimum (-6)

If, for example, the bell rings a tone that will heal all Burns, but none of the battlers are Burned, it will seem to do nothing. If the bell is destroyed by something like Earthquake, obviously it will not ring.

I'll send out Phantom Ganon!

Okay, Ganon. First let loose an Icy Wind so that you can outspeed your opponent. If you can put a little extra energy in to try to knock her off the tower, that would be wonderful.

Then, if you weren't able to knock her off, use Thunder Wave, then Attract. If she was knocked off (even if she gets back up), throw up a Safeguard and finish with Calm Mind.

If you yourself get knocked off, get back up as quick as you can with a Teleport. And for the love of arceus stay on the north-south axis of the tower so you don't get knocked down at the end of the round by the bell.

Icy Wind/Teleport ~ Thunder Wave/Safeguard/Teleport ~ Attract/Calm Mind/Teleport

First, Agility to avoid the Icy Wind; try to get as far from Ganon as is possible while staying out of the way of the bell. If you're still on the tower, Safeguard the next action to prevent the Thunder Wave coming, and then Attract; if not, Agility and Extremespeed to get up and hit Ganon.

Agility ~ Safeguard / (Agility + Extremespeed) ~ Thunder Wave

Or something like that. What are virgule and tilde precedence rules?

(Are Mist and Haze considered weather moves?

...Erm. You said Thunder Wave in your command string, but Attract in the little blurb before. Which one is it that you want?

And no, Mist and Haze are not considered weather moves.

Ech, that should have been Attract, because apparently I'm too braindead to care what I wrote.

So that should be: Agility ~ Safeguard / (Agility + Extremespeed) ~ Attract

Sorry.

A blanket of yellow-brown smog coated the ravaged ground, the smoke so thick that the torn rubble underneath was barely visible. The sight alone was enough to fill most with a dreadful sense of trepidation; that, coupled with the oppressive smell the atmosphere was literally slathered with, made quite the frightful scene. Amidst the deadly fog stood a pristine iron tower, the structure reaching towards the heavens as if trying to get away from the chaos below. And far, far away, faint screams and gunshots echoed, telling of a war that devastated the land somewhere beyond the reaches of the mustard gas.

At the top of the tower was an open-air chamber, largely inhabited by a clear, faultless crystal bell that shimmered with benevolent energy. Everything was deathly still in the chamber – until a pop of displaced air sounded, and three people and an Abra stepped out of a whirling vortex of iridescent purples, greens, and pinks. Almost immediately there was another contained burst and the little psychic-type disappeared, presumably back to the ASB Headquarters to teleport the next group of trainers. The three humans were left to gag at the humid air and wonder why they decided to battle here in the first place.

After several minutes, during which the referee gasped out the conditions of the arena between coughs, the battlers took their positions: Jack_the_PumpkinKing on the north side, and sreservoir on the south. sreservoir hesitated slightly before taking a Pokeball from his belt and carefully placing it on the floor, where it burst open to let a snake-like Pokemon crawl out. Nenya the Dratini sniffed disdainfully at the arena choice, rather miffed by the thick scent present throughout the area, even though her lungs were strong enough to minimize her coughing.

Upon hearing the sound effects that accompanied the opening of a Pokeball, Jack peered around the gigantic bell to better make out the opposing Pokemon. More high-tech noises ensued, and the referee awkwardly shuffled around the chamber – how was she to observe the match properly with the gargantuan, semi-opaque construction in her way? Phantom Ganon the Ralts yawned and stretched out his arms, then abruptly broke off mid-yawn to cough violently, his fragile respiratory system unused to the harmful gases.

Nenya, being the faster of the two, immediately started slithering circles around the crystal bell, which she occasionally glanced at with suspicion. It took only a moment for her to work up a good amount of speed, certainly more than what one would expect from a snake-like creature. The edges of her blue and white form blurred slightly as she glided on, the sinuous muscles in her compact body loosening and becoming more limber. Ganon, who had inhaled deeply, suddenly shut his mouth with a snap; there was no way he’d hit her if she was running around like that. Eventually Nenya slowed down, making sure that the bell was standing between her and her opponent.

Ganon frowned. He could no longer hear the scrape of scales on iron, but… Nenya was nowhere to be seen. Still scowling, he scooted around the bell and saw the fleeting tip of a retreating blue tail. Excitedly he exhaled, emptying his lungs of air to produce a frigid gust, but most of the wind was blocked by the crystalline obstacle in front of him. A fraction of the attack managed to drift about and wrap freezing, insubstantial fingers around Nenya’s body; she shivered, feeling her metabolism drop sharply, though her body still felt rather nimble. At least she hadn’t been caught directly by the technique.

Clearly interested in avoiding any more status nonsense, the Dratini then proceeded to focus a portion of her energy just above her head. The power seemed to drip and spread about until it became a paper-thin dome of a glowing pale-green substance. Ganon, who had shuffled to the same side of the chamber as Nenya, was completely unaware of his opponent’s new semi-solid barrier, and was concentrating on drawing static out of the atmosphere with his limited electrical control. What electricity he could gather formed a small, sizzling ball in the center of one palm; satisfied with its size, the Ralts threw it at Nenya like it was a baseball. An arc of yellow-white force zipped through the air – only to hit the dragon’s newly-erected Safeguard. The compact wave immediately broke apart and skittered across the shield for a second or so before melting back into the atmosphere.

Ganon pouted at the failure of his attack, but he didn’t get much time to fume. Nenya was slithering towards him, flexing her body more than was necessary to show off her lithe shape and glittering scales. She batted her eyelashes, opening her chestnut eyes wide between each blink as she lavished her opponent with attention: what a strong, young fellow! Cute, delicate, but probably with a deep, hidden strength in his core… Why, she was obviously no match for him! But since he was such a gentleman, he wouldn’t senselessly beat a youthful lady to the point of fainting… right? Ganon blinked, clearly startled by his opponent’s flirtatious display, but she did have a point about hitting girls. Actually, she was right about everything: he was strong, yes, and certainly cute! The Ralts puffed out his chest.

Ganon’s head was swimming with so many thoughts that he nearly forgot about his commands. Abruptly he began to stutter, before forming his words into more eloquent patterns, gazing at Nenya softly as he, too, spouted compliments aplenty. The green barrier still lingering around the snake-like dragon’s body, though, selectively filtered out the more flattering statements, and though she felt a slight tug at her heart, the Dratini concluded that she wouldn’t be falling in love with him anytime soon, no sirree.

All of a sudden, the crystal bell in the center of the chamber jerked to the side, causing the iron ball in the middle to strike against the thick glass. A haunting, hollow gong sounded, followed by two more resonances that reverberated in the air. When the first ring reached Ganon’s ears, he felt his attraction to Nenya inexplicably jump down a notch… Bah, nonsense. Oblivious to the Dratini’s nonchalant behaviour, he continued to gush.

Icy Wind’s damage was reduced by half due to the bell being in the way. I figured that Ganon would have the common sense to actually scoot around the bell before taking a shot, so Nenya still got the speed decrease.
Thunder Wave failed due to the Safeguard.
Ganon’s Attract failed due to the Safeguard.
The bell reduced status conditions’ severities by one level.

Okay, now that Ganon is sufficiently distracted, set up a Substitute just in case he actually does anything.

When that's done, Dragon Dance a bit.

Substitute (15%) ~ Dragon Dance ~ Dragon Dance

Okay, we definitely don't want that Sub going up, Ganon, so as fast as you possibly can, give Nenya the meanest look you possibly can, to try to disrupt her concentration. After all, you want to be able to look at her, not some two-bit hack imitation of her, right? (If she starts making the Sub before you have time to react, though, fall back on a Taunt instead. You want her attention, don't you?)

After that, Attract her back to you. On the last action, if her Sub is up, take a good chunk out of it with Psychic. If she doesn't have a Sub... you know, I bet she's still a little cold from that icy wind, so why don't you use Will-o-Wisp to warm her up?

As Ganon fell silent, apparently content with staring at his object of affection, Nenya closed her eyes and coiled up in a circle. She gave a low keening noise and a shimmer could be detected in the center of the ring, growing stronger and stronger until it was a blue-green ball of draconic energy. The sphere stretched and elongated, taking the shape of a thick, stiff stick sharpened at one end, the other end larger, more bulbous, and sporting the barest hint of ear fins. All of a sudden, the glow died away, though the structure left behind was still a turquoise colour. With a creak it flexed its body, then blinked slowly and turned fathomless eyes on Ganon. The Ralts stepped back.

Once he had gotten over his initial shock of a second, utterly expressionless Nenya, Ganon shuffled his feet and relaxed. This must be a present, he decided, yet another beautiful Dratini for him to look at! Granted, the original was much better-looking, but hey, the more the merrier, right? He went over his orders at the very back of his mind – wait, wait, Taunt? Sure, Ganon wanted Nenya’s attention, but he certainly didn’t want her ire. He gave his trainer a puzzling glance; then, upon receiving zero clarification, he sat down in a cross-legged position and continued to gaze at his cooshy-coo.

Nenya resisted the powerful urge to roll her eyes and scoff at her opponent. He was hopeless. It was vital that she keep his affection, though, for the sake of victory. Scooting around to face Ganon, she bent her neck in a little bow, before slowly revolving in a circle. Her tail-tip wagged back and forth, providing a steady beat, as she twisted, turned, and thrashed to her own internal music player. As she began to wind down, her body was shrouded in barely-noticeable bluish spirits. By the end of the dance, the specters were gone, their strength and speed imbued in the Dratini’s very spirit.

Ganon stood up and clapped, cheering loudly with zeal. Once again, he started praising her: her beauty, skill, talent… She was perfect. His most impressive statements, though, once again fell on deaf ears as the Safeguard scrambled them up into incoherent, probably obscene, noises. And once again, Nenya merely raised an eyebrow, fairly entertained.

While Ganon pouted at the failure of his Attract – was he really that undesirable? – the Dratini across from him waved her tail to and fro in a familiar rhythm. She raised her head to the cloudy, mustard-stained sky and crooned, as ripples passed from head to tail and loops were turned. Like before, ultramarine stains in the air around Nenya danced with her, finally diving into her skin when the dragon slowed down. Another rush of vigor surged through her veins.

While Nenya was dancing, Ganon stood on his toes and craned his neck, hoping to catch every movement, but the Substitute kept moving in his line of sight. As the scrape of scales stopped, the Ralts dropped back with a sigh and a growl. So much for that… The strange structure really was getting on his nerves, though: he really only needed one Nenya, it was getting in his way… Ganon didn’t want to disobey his trainer, but he didn’t want to hurt his beloved either. Shrugging, he extended a psychic reach, homing in on the Substitute’s faint energy signature – Nenya couldn’t miss it too much, could she? Using an extrasensory hand, he ripped and tore chunks out of the blue-green sculpture, but his concentration ran thin before he could see the end of the figurine. Frustrated, he stepped back as the Substitute bent around to regard its missing tail-tip.

Somewhere lower down in the iron steeple, a person was jerking the thick rope that ran from their hands to the crystal bell in the uppermost chamber. The translucent monument swung to the east, then to the west, then back to east, ringing three times before falling silent. The sound waves rushed around the chamber, invading the battlers’ minds and sweeping away sentimental thoughts. Ganon was suddenly reminded of his purpose, here in the Crystal Belfry; all mushiness in his eyes gone, he gave Nenya a challenging glare, who looked back uncertainly, confused by his sudden change of heart. As if to make her feel even more insecure, the semi-solid dome around her flickered and vanished, leaving her open to status inflictions.

Ganon didn’t move on the 1st action due to infatuation.
Attract failed due to the Safeguard.
The bell healed all minor status conditions. Lucky Jack.

Good work, Ganon. Lucky us indeed.

Now that you have your head screwed on straight again, give her a proper Taunt this time. If for some reason she does something to block Taunt, finish off the Substitute with Confusion. Safeguard shouldn't be able to block Taunt, but if it's used anyway, Snatch it and replace your 2nd action command with Taunt.

On your next action, use Psych Up if and only if her Speed stat is still +3 or higher and she has no negative stat modifiers; or use Icy Wind in any other case, which should destroy the Sub if it's around. (Taunt gets shifted here if you Snatched a Safeguard.)

Finish off with an Ice Punch if she's pretty close by without a Sub, and Icy Wind if she has a Sub and/or is not nearby.

Taunt/Confusion/Snatch ~ Psych Up/Icy Wind/Taunt ~ Ice Punch/Icy Wind

Okay, so he's thinking straight again. Attract probably won't work again.

Okay, Taunt is coming, but there isn't much you can do about it, so, Double Team while you can.

If you are sufficiently annoyed with Ganon at this point (read: taunted), hit him with a meteor, and then, if Dragon Rage can use the mustard gas as the `liquid', use that, or Twister otherwise; try to throw him off the tower either way.

If the taunt doesn't work (evasion can block it in the games, iirc), Light Screen to weaken Icy Winds, and then throw a meteor at him.

Ill at ease with Ganon’s glittering, determined stare trained on her, Nenya turned tail and slithered away with a certain amount of haste. The Ralts, who had opened his mouth, shut it again – he didn’t want to waste his breath on unheard statements. He sat down, waiting for the scrape of scales to slow and stop, but instead it got faster and faster, until it was a continuous, rasping sound. A blur of blue and white flashed in front of Ganon, and he staggered in surprise before realizing it was Nenya, racing about at top speed. As Ganon watched her turn the corner, he squinted disbelievingly – did she just split into seven pieces?

As it turned out, the snake-like dragon was now accompanied by six exact look-alikes, completely undistinguishable from each other. She smirked, completely confident that she would be safe for a while yet. A muffled phrase drifting around the corner made Nenya perk her ears up, and after a few seconds all seven Dratinis were tense and completely livid. …running away from me? Wow, I must be more threatening than I thought… or are you more timid than I thought, huh? I’m leaning towards the latter; I mean, all this messing-with-my-head pussy crap... Are Dratinis completely unable to fight properly?

Nenya let out a snarl. She’d show him! Savagely she threw her head back and howled, the harsh sound rending the air as a curtain of green flame slowly began to coat her scales. On the other side of the bell, Ganon gulped and looked around, obviously sensing that the ruthless, deep cry meant danger, and indeed after a few seconds his eyes detected a faint, aqua glow in the sky. Rapidly it grew closer, revealing itself to be a small bunch of blazing meteorites that were headed straight for the chamber with the crystal bell. The Ralts cried out in alarm and wildly searched the area; upon finding zero places to hide, he gritted his teeth, adopted the fetal position, and wrapped his head in his small arms. This provided little defense against the formidable attack. The first of the three boulders slammed into Ganon, easily knocking him over and crushing him under the immense weight as the draconic flame around the rock ate at his skin. He screamed in pain, feeling several of his ribs crack and poke his insides with their sharp tips.

The second asteroid’s aim wasn’t as respectable, and instead crashed against the iron directly underneath the suffering Ralts with an earsplitting bang. The metal caved in, causing the previous boulder and the Pokemon underneath it to slide towards the ground; Ganon scrabbled for purchase, but his hands found none. The fall turned out to be a godsend for him, though, as the third and final meteor crashed into the area where he just was. It flew into the chamber and struck the crystal bell. Unable to stand up to the incredible force, it shattered, sending pellets of glass everywhere. The deadly shower pierced through four of the Dratinis in the chamber, the dragons fading into thin air as they were revealed to be clones. Fortunately for Nenya, the real Pokemon managed to escape miraculously untouched, leaving three wyrm in the now-ruined hollow. Despite feeling rather drained by the Draco Meteor, she puffed her chest out smugly; unable to fight properly, yeah right.

As Nenya basked in the success of her attack, Ganon cringed and picked himself up off the floor. Immediately he began to cough weakly, the mustard gas already invading his system. His cracked ribs prevented him from complaining much, though. He squinted through the thick blanket of brownish-yellow smoke, straining to make out the form of his opponent, but to no avail. He could hardly see a few feet up in the air, much less all the way up to the chamber. Little did he know that subconscious telepathic balancing had caused her to feel the same pain ravaging her lungs. Nenya coughed and shuddered, startled by the sudden agony wracking her insides.

Shrugging, Ganon cupped his hands around his mouth and lowered his body temperature anyway, ready to take a shot, no matter the likelihood of the attack actually reaching Nenya. Ganon took in a shallow breath, unable to do much more due to his aching chest, and blew outwards. The results of his Icy Wind were pitiful, though: the fitful breeze dissipated after traveling a distance of about two meters. He sat back, pouting and discouraged.

Despite the fact that she had already exacted her revenge on Ganon, Nenya was still eager for carnage. She let out a croon and extended her limited abilities over air, whipping it into a whirlwind with draconic energy imbued in the center. However, she was still rather drained from the execution of the Draco Meteor, and only managed to fashion a smallish hurricane, which was then sent over the side of the tower.. By the time it reached Ganon, though, the tornado was practically non-existent, and the Ralts felt only a light sting as the last of the draconic energy lashed at his skin.

Disheartened by the epic failure of his previous Icy Wind, Ganon huffed and crossed his arms. He certainly wanted to get back at Nenya, yes, but how was that possible with the distance between them? At the very back of his mind, he noted that the enormous bell in the chamber neglected to ring; the thought was pushed out of his skull when a claw seemed to stab into his gut, making him gasp with pain.

Draco Meteor was a critical hit (ouch).
I calculate each meteor’s accuracy separately to determine where they’ll hit (but if the first one misses, all of them do). The 2nd one missed and so owned the tower instead, causing the south side to cave in and sending Ganon to the ground. Let the RNG haetin’ begin!
Icy Wind missed (and all subsequent ones will unless Ganon manages to get closer to Nenya).
Under normal circumstances I would’ve had Twister do 1% damage, but coupled with the special attack drop, I don’t think Nenya would’ve had the strength to make a Twister strong enough to last all that distance and still deal damage.
Rushed reffing is rushed. Sorry for the lateness (homeworkkk) and do point out any mistakes.

Oh yes. Bell.

Okay, that was fine; first action, Ganon probably hasn't gotten anywhere near, so fire off a Natural Gift to hit him with your currently higher Attack. Afterward, during each action, if he's anywhere near, charge him (Waterfall) if he's nearby, or Natural Gift otherwise.

Okay, Ganon. We're going to have an energy intensive round this time, but we can relax next round. Look forward to that.

First, Wish for your ribs to be healed. Then teleport back onto the tower; try to get on the roof if possible, but if for some reason you wouldn't be able to keep a stable foothold on the roof, just settle for the bell chamber (but don't let yourself get into a position where the bell will knock you over). Finally, send out some magical leaves to get rid of Nenya's clones and substitute.

Nenya and her two clones, as well as her half-dead Substitute, all leaned over the edge of the chamber and squinted. She could hardly see the ground, and even then mottled shadows were everywhere; it was impossible to spot her opponent. Shrugging, she focused on the deepest wellsprings of her abilities and drew them up into her mouth. The Substitute shifted away as it recognized the small, shimmering orb as something dangerous. It took only a few moments for the Natural Gift to charge up to its fullest power, during which Nenya let her attack fly. Three spheres, identical in every way, plunged through the clouds of mustard gas as if guided by some mystical force, and a few seconds later there was a cry of surprise and pain. Nenya smirked; served the stupid Ralts right. Satisfaction quelled the rage that was bubbling in her mind.

Ganon had been knocked down by the force of the attack, and now he sat on his behind, fighting for breath that his cracked ribs were reluctant to give. A bubble of exasperation rose up within him – he couldn’t fight like this! Solemnly he tilted his head up to the sky and clasped his hands together, doing his best to stifle his coughs as he chanted prayers, incantations, and pleas to Jirachi. The sky darkened just a smidgen, and Nenya, who looked up at the sky in wonder, fancied that she saw a star twinkle.

The illusion faded after she blinked, and she shook her head. She had better things to worry about. Once again, the three Dratinis gathered wondrous energy in their maws, forming an ivory sphere that would seek out living creatures, no matter the distance. Once it had reached the size of a bowling ball, she pushed it in a random direction, knowing that it would hit regardless. And indeed there was another yell a moment later. Nenya gave a triumphant smirk, though she was getting quite exhausted.

Ganon had just risen to his feet when the Natural Gift knocked him down again, the energy burning against his flesh. He grumbled, this time not even bothering to regain his posture, instead concentrating pure psychic energy around him and on another spot, far up on the roof of the tower. Suddenly there was a muffled pop – the sound was lost with the faraway noises of war – and Ganon emerged at the designated spot on the roof in a flurry of purple and green lights. He sucked in as deep of a breath as he could manage; the air was much cleaner here, relieving him of the burning sensation of his lungs, but doing nothing to alleviate the toxins already in his system.

Completely oblivious to the new whereabouts of her opponent, Nenya charged a third Natural Gift and shot it downwards. All three snake-like dragons reared back in surprise as the sphere rocketed back up, nearly smashing into their faces, and curved towards the roof. A hiss signaled another successful hit. Several whistling noises abruptly cut through the air, and the three Dratinis perked up their earfins, just as dozens of sharp-edged leaves flew into the chamber. Several of them missed their target completely, instead slicing straight through Nenya’s remaining clones, though most of them homed into the real Pokemon. Sensing the danger its creator was in, the Substitute pushed her out of the way. The leaves ruthlessly lacerated the already-battered structure, though their force proved insufficient, as when the assault died down the Substitute was still standing.

There was a whoosh and the sky rapidly darkened. Everyone looked up, save for the Substitute, which was indifferent as usual. In a matter of moments the sky was so dark that it seemed as if the arena had suddenly become enclosed in a black dome sprinkled with silver dust. Stars winked and shimmered, casting a fitful glow on the otherwise shadowy atmosphere. One star, edged with an ever-changing rim of colour, glowed brighter than the rest. Ganon tilted his head up – the star was directly above him – and muttered arcane phrases under his breath. Just as he fell silent, the star flashed and seemed to explode into a linear beam, engulfing the Ralts in pure, radiant light. Nenya, having no idea what was going on, screeched and curled into a little ball in a vain attempt to shield her eyes from the intense luminosity. After what felt like a long, long time, the light died down and the atmosphere resumed its normal colouration. Ganon stood in the center of the roof amidst a circle of blackened shingles; in stark contrast to the chaos around him, he was virtually unmarked save for a few shallow cuts here and there.

Exhausted and perplexed as she was, Nenya had absolutely no qualms about curling into a tight spiral and closing her eyes to take a brief rest. She had her Substitute, after all; even if it was practically falling to pieces, it was still functional. Its life was destined to be cut short, though, as a whizzing sound was abruptly audible. This was shortly followed by a luminous orb of pure energy zipping under the edge of the roof. There it hovered uncertainly for a split second, unsure of which Dratini to target, before rocketing towards the cracked, crumbling dragon. The poor Substitute had no hope of surviving the attack, ragged as it was; immediately upon contact, it disintegrated into what looked like fine ash, leaving nothing behind but a forlorn black stain.

The violence of the explosion brought Nenya back to earth, and she grumbled irritably as she regarded the pile of black dust. A good portion of it had already been blown away by the wind, but there was still enough for another Substitute. The Dratini closed her eyes in concentration as dragon fire welled up within her, the supernatural blaze imbued with a fraction of the Pokemon’s life energy itself; several seconds later, she breathed out slowly, enveloping the remaining ashes in a blue-green flame. The ashes glowed. All of a sudden, they seemed to rearrange themselves in a familiar, elongated form. When the radiance died down, yet another Dratini look-alike was visible, though it was noticeably smaller than its creator.

Ganon was completely unaware of these new developments, and was unlikely to care even if he knew that an additional opponent had stepped on the stage. He was sprawled on the roof of the tower on his back, eyes closed blissfully. The Wish had taken quite a toll on his body and he was quite content with lying there for several hours on end, napping… Unexpectedly, the Ralts’s stomach seized up and seemed to flip over several times before tying itself in a knot, and he doubled over in pain, gasping.

Nenya was in a similar condition. After her new Substitute had been breathed into life, she wasted no time in curling up once more. An intense pain in her gut made her twitch violently, though, at precisely the same time as her opponent. Their pangs died down after several moments, which was when they resumed their previous positions and kept resting. Not even the torpid, stagnant air could deter them from wasting time away.
