HG/SS My Team... help/critique wanted

I hadn't considered the object of the team. I suppose the purpose is to be successful, and extremely diverse at the same time. I want it to be powerful, yet hard to beat. As far as pokemon choices go,

Nidoking: I originally wanted Gliscor, but changed my mind. However, I still wanted a pokemon that could get STAB with Earthquake.
Clefable: I was going to have a fire-type pokemon, but decided to get random.
Kabutops: use for Stone Edge against dragon/flying-types
Dragonite: It's classic with outstanding stats
Ampharos: I chose the only electric-type with a diverse learned move moveset
Breloom: not sure. I've always wanted to use one.


Also can you explain all of those terms? I know what STAB, but the others I'm lost on.
