Take me to Wonderland
In a shadowed room, lightly scented with faint jasmine and lilac incense, a grown young woman sits in a large cushioned chair, a table before her where a single book rests. The woman rests her hand on the face of the book, lightly stroking the symbol that dominated the book’s cover.
“Mewro Faros…”
The symbol of the book glows brilliantly under her touch, a single orb of light phasing out of the book. Second by second, the orb unfolds and moulds into a small figure as to fit in the small room without fear of knocking anything over. The Woman held out her hand under the moulded orb and awaits for the small kitten-like creature to alight on her hand. The small kitten looks up at her, a small smile on his pink face.
“You called, Mistress?”
The Woman smiles down at him, petting one of his ears lightly, a sad look in her eyes. Mewro Faros looks up at her concerned, wrapping his arms around her hand.
“Why are you so saddened, Mistress…?”
The woman chuckles sadly, drawing her hand toward her and places a soft kiss on his head.
“Mewro…please, at this time, call me Shana.”
“…This is serious. Shana, are you sick?”
She chuckles, pulling Mewro into a small hug. She then looks over the book, petting the space between his wings.
“…I’ve grown quite old…not in body but in spirit and mind. I’ve learned so much about this world of yours and the cards. Magic, spells, beings of great power beyond that of Pokemon. But it has come…the time for all this fun to end and this magic to change hands to another worthy of your power. Though parting will cause much sadness, I will never forget you and the time we have spent together.”
Shana opens the book before her and takes out a single deck of cards from the hollow cavity of the book’s pages. She lifts the deck to eye level and smiles, whispering the name of one of the cards to do her bidding.
“Windy.”
A sudden gust of wind rips through the room, catching only the cards in her hand and scattering them briefly in the air of the room before disappearing all together.
But in her outstretched hand, seven cards remained still.
“…You seven stayed. Why?”
Mewro chuckles under his breath, flying up to her face and tapping her nose lightly.
“Windy, Firey, Watery, Earthy, Light, Dark, and Create. These are the seven most powerful cards…thus will not simply leave. They will remain with you until a worthy successor appears before you and them…and best you at the final test.”
“…Is Mue the final test?”
The small feline creature laughs, shaking his head before pointing toward the woman.
“No Shana. You will be the final test…and your appearance will be not unlike that of Mue. You will be the guardian…and the only one to decide the most worthily of successors.”
Shana smiles down at him, resting her chin in her hand.
“I sent the cards out to find my successor. How many are you expecting?”
“Only fate can tell how many are now drawn into this matter, Young Mistress Shana.”
-------------------------------------------
You were once a normal trainer, or maybe you were a normal citizen or someone of another profession. Whoever you may be or have been, be it average and good or a victim to the criminal system, you are now given a great power. However you may have obtained it, you now hold one of the cards that were scattered all over the earth.
You were drawn to the region of Kanto, the home of the current master. Your mission is to collect all the cards, or at least most of them if you feel you can not steal from another Captor. Each card has a power of its own, with it’s own usefulness and weaknesses. You will have to bond with the spirit within your card, which has taken the form of a worldly Pokemon, and use it to tame wild cards, and win tamed cards from others. The Card Spirit is known by a marking on their body, the only way to tell them apart from the norm without seeing their mighty power.
Each of the Chosen Captors also receives a staff, the head of which takes the shape of a flying type. This staff is…a Pokeball of sorts, allowing you to control and capture the Card Spirits. The staff will shrink into a piece of jewellery when not in use; a necklace, a ring, a pendant. You must carry it with you at all times, to defend yourself and call your Spirit to your aid.
Your mission is to now rise to the top and become the Clow Master, holding every Clow Spirit and guarding the book that holds them from evil. Whatever your reasons behind doing it…
Rules:
-Godmodding, one liners, and chat speak will get you thrown out of here. I’m serious, it’s annoying.
- You can lose your card. It happens. It’s up to you if you want to get another. Be it stealing it from another Captor or risking capturing one in the wild.
- I’m not afraid to snap some twigs and drown a char bundle or two.
- You start with one card. The card will be given to you based on your sign-up. FMC will be handing out half the cards and I’ll be handing out the other half.
- No. You can not say you magically captured a card…well, ok, you used magic, but you can’t say “I hit with staff and caught, derp!”. It takes effort and actual skill to catch stuff you know.
- Shana has the seven strongest cards. She will be using the Create card to put you through challenges at her whim. Be ready for them.
- If you were a trainer, you can have pokemon with you, they just won’t be doing anything useful in catching the cards. They would just be props and stuff…and maybe drag your bloody ass to a hospital when you fail a capture…or anger the card.
- If you have a team, no legendaries. That’s just cheap.
- If you are a criminal, I’d like to know how you became one. I’m curious.
