• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

D/P/Pt Pokemon Team

Severus Snape

"Detention, Potter,"
Torterra @ Leftovers
-Earthquake
-Leech Seed
-Giga Drain
-Leaf Storm

The main Pokemon (and starter), Torterra first sets up Leech Seed then attacks with EQ. When vital, Leaf Storm is used. Giga Drain is a recovering tactic for times when Torterra is badly damaged.

Luxray @ Magnet
-Thunder Wave
-Thunder
-Thunderbolt
-Charge Beam

Just a basic attacker. Nothing much to say.

Lucario @ Black Belt
-Drain Punch
-Aura Sphere
-Bone Rush
-Close Combat

Awesome attacker, similar tactic to Torterra.

Gyarados @ Mystic Water
-Surf
-Waterfall
-Dragon Dance
-Flamethrower

HM Slave and powerful when needed.

Staraptor @ Sharp Beak
-Defog
-Fly
-Brave Bird
-Close Combat

Once again, HM Slave with a high risk tactic.

Bibarel
-Cut
-Rock Smash
-Rock Climb
-Strength

HM Slave = dumb.

i'm no expert on teams of any sort, but if there's one thing i know, it's this;

vary your move types. that luxray will get murdered if a ground-type shows up.

Why do you have three special electric moves on Luxray?

... Also if you're going for leech seed and giga drain recovery for Torterra, you could try Big Root.

I agree with sresivoir, why the HMs? Is this an ingame team? If not, then replace the HMs, exept for Waterfall. Keep that. And replace Fly with Brave Bird. Also, Switch the items. Plates and that sort aren't that good.(Bibarel doesn't even have an item!)

Yeah, Luxray will probably get KOed in less than a matter of time. I didn't plan him to be powerhouse like Electivire anyway.

HMs - yeah, partially in-game, also quite good for battling so, it's fine.

Torterra @ Leftovers
-Earthquake
-Leech Seed
-Crunch
-Stone Edge

The main Pokemon (and starter), Torterra first sets up Leech Seed then attacks with EQ. When vital, Leaf Storm is used. Giga Drain is a recovering tactic for times when Torterra is badly damaged.

Leaf Storm sucks ass. Kick Giga Drain too, and put in Stone Edge and Crunch.

Jolteon @ Leftovers
-Thunder Wave
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Magnet Rise

Just a basic attacker. Nothing much to say.

Are you kidding me? Forget about that - why even bother with Luxray? Jolteon says hi.

Lucario @ Leftovers
-Water Pulse
-Aura Sphere
-Magnet Rise
-Flash Cannon

Awesome attacker, similar tactic to Torterra.

Wow, really? Water Pulse for the odd Heatran.

Gyarados @ Mystic Water
-Surf
-Waterfall
-Dragon Dance
-Flamethrower

HM Slave and powerful when needed.

Staraptor @ Sharp Beak
-Defog
-Fly
-Brave Bird
-Close Combat

Once again, HM Slave with a high risk tactic.

Bibarel
-Cut
-Rock Smash
-Rock Climb
-Strength

HM Slave = dumb.

Do I even need to bother if it's an HM slave? This goes for all three.

Yeah...

I will never ever need that Jolteon. It just doesn't suit my style. Same with Lucario. It's just that odd Magnet Rise added in. Certainly doesn't fit the team.

Please, Leaf Storm isn't right. Perhaps Stone Edge is better.

Luxray @ Magnet
-Thunder Wave
-Thunder
-Thunderbolt
-Charge Beam

Just a basic attacker. Nothing much to say. Very basic. Hints to an ingame team. Lanturn seems like a good choice to me.

Lucario @ Black Belt
-Drain Punch
-Aura Sphere
-Bone Rush
-Close Combat

Awesome attacker, similar tactic to Torterra. Looks fine to me.

Gyarados @ Mystic Water
-Surf
-Waterfall
-Dragon Dance
-Flamethrower

HM Slave and powerful when needed.

Staraptor @ Sharp Beak
-Defog
-Fly
-Brave Bird
-Close Combat

Once again, HM Slave with a high risk tactic.

Bibarel
-Cut
-Rock Smash
-Rock Climb
-Strength

HM Slave = dumb.

I wonder. Lanturn's attacks?

Lots say Stone Edge is better than SP ATT lowering Leaf Storm.

Sure. I see the problem with Torterra.
