As of Christmas, I am the proud owner of one of these fine systems. As of right now I own just Fate/Extra. However I plan on getting these games soon

Persona 3 Portabe
Final Fantasy Type-0 (once it released here)

I might also possibly get a copy of Birth By Sleep, but I'm still thinking that one over. So what I'm asking is that aside from what I already plan to get what other games do you guys recommend?

Not exclusive, one was a remake of a Super Famicom game, Star Ocean First Departure, and the other was a enhancement of the PS1 Star Ocean the Second Story. Skip First Departure, it's not that great, and it still feels horribly unfinished. SO2 on the other hand is fantastic.

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is worth looking at too, a great game. There's also Valkyria Chronicles 2, Ys I & II Chronicles, Ys the Oath in Felghana and Ys Seven. Birth By Sleep was also pretty good.

Uhh... what else... the Death Jr. games were both pretty fun, and Dissidia 012 is pretty good. The 3rd Birthday's also worth a look, and Wild ARMs XF is a pretty decent FF Tactics clone.

OH; Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is a must, especially if you have a friend to play it with. And God Eater Burst is a great Monster Hunter clone, definitely take a look at both of those.

I'll have to get back to you once I've remember all the other games I've played and would recommend haha, but as of now consider those, in the case you find any of them.

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions is a good choice if you're into that sort of thing. And if you are, then Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is another good choice.

I've never heard of most of those games, Fresh. What generes is The 3rd Birthday?
Haha well if you haven't heard of them, you should look them up. Do a bit of research and see which ones interest you. That's how you decide whether or not to buy a game! The 3rd Birthday is a 3rd person shooter with RPG elements, and some pretty great battles. It's the third in the Parasite Eve series, but not really necessary to have played the first two to enjoy it.

Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions is a good choice if you're into that sort of thing. And if you are, then Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is another good choice.

Yes. Tactics Ogre is fantastic.

I almost forgot to mention; Hexyz Force, Yggdra Union and Knights in the Nightmare are also great. Knights in the Nightmare is a personal favorite of mine, and it's something I'd recommend to anyone. All of them are pretty good RPGs/strategies. And the same company that created them, Sting, is having another game released stateside soon, called Gungnir. keep an eye on that one as well as Grand Knights History. That one's out within the next month or so.

Is the PSP version of Yggdra Union also toned down in difficulty like Riviera (which is another fantastic choice by Sting)? Because that game was hella hard.

yeah it is, your characters regain morale upon level up now. the unlockable hard mode makes it basically the same as the GBA version, just with a few extra characters.

and damn, I can't believe I forgot Riviera was released on the PSP u.u

A physical copy of Knights for the DS is almost impossible to find now, especially one with the soundtrack still intact. I've seen a ton of them for the PSP in gamestops around here though, and you even get a free download for Yggdra Union if you get it new.
