"Annoying little thing," Mhynt cursed, hopping away to gain some extra distance. This wasn't going to do well. Still, perhaps she had to take the time to analyze the situation more thoroughly before diving headlong into the fray. She still needed to find an opening anyway...

"Big talk for someone who doesn't know what a Protect looks like!" Reath called to the Dewott. Clearly, she thought she had won this exchange, not realising that Archie had bigger fish to fry. She began to walk back to her gold coins only to realise, much to her horror, that they had vanished.
Meanwhile, Miror B. was still dancing, bobbing and weaving through the attacks that came his way – he even seemed to be implementing some of them into his routine. "Now this one has some spunk!" he yelled to the others after taking a strong hit from Koa. "Let's see if he can handle the might of our groove!"
Reath, on the other hand, was focused on the gold coins that manifested from Leaf's horn, allowing her to finally put two and two together. "Oh I will make you pay for that one!" she yelled towards the rapidash.
"What you think I joined Cipher for those psychos? And you expect me to room with them while being watched by you guys? Ferma asked. "Borrrrrring," she said with a disinterested tongue flick. "How about I do something else instead?"
Although Miror B. drew the most attention to himself, a fact that he revelled in his expression made it clear that he was just getting started. He also seemed to take satisfaction in the Wayfarer's neglect of his peons, a decision that he considered to be unwise, something that the four were more than happy to demonstrate with their next series of attacks, all done to the unheard beat conducted by Miror B. but first... Leaf would find herself struck by the arc of swift water.
Reath was after Leaf in an instant, brandishing her claws and coming down upon her with a focused slash. It looked like her days of whiffing were behind her... until the next distraction came around, of course.
"Well, it wasn't fun talking to you," Ferma said to Gladion. "But looks like the kid over there wants to be the centre of attention. May as well, at least the boss is having fun." She snaked away and almost flew above the edge of the rocky platform, descending down on the small electrike with her fangs brandished. She bit down, first a warning bite, then a firm grip that ensured that enough venom was pumped in to soften Koa up and leave him weak.
Seeing the exchange between the serpent and the chimera, Trudly and Folly were left chuckling at Gladion despite their inability to move closer to the heat of the battle.
"Hard to get, ain't she?" Trudly asked.
"Don't worry, she's like that to all of us," said Folly.
Then, remembering that they were foes, the pair lit up the clearing with fire and electricity, directed right towards Gladion.
"Now kid," Miror B. said, running and vaulting back on stage. "You got some good moves, almost as good as mine, but let me show you how the experts do it!"
And with a few swift kicks and some master footwork, he did. Not slowing down for a second. He then clapped his hands together. "And with that, I think it's time for an intermission!" He held an Escape Orb in his hand, holding it high for everyone else to see. "You lot! Handle these upstarts for now while I get myself ready for the grand finale! I won't be long~"
And before anyone had the chance to react...
All the peons nodded and looked more determined than ever. It was time for a four versus six.

"Koa!" Mhynt hissed. She glanced at where Miror B was, only to realize he'd vanished. "So that's what it feels like," she murmured, wondering if she should stop Teleporting to disorient her allies when they weren't fighting.
"Miror B is the ringleader, he's got tricks, but... let's focus on the grunts for now! They're dangerous on their own! Miror B isn't that strong anyway if we can focus down his dodging efforts..."
She Teleported around the area, trying to get glances at what her opponents had in terms of equipment... And maybe get in the way, too.

Sparks flew and Koa grinned, relishing in the surge of power, certain that no matter how much the birdbrain tried to hide it, the hits had to have hurt. Just a few more-
A blur of black scales in the corner of his vision. Jaws closed around his leg. A strangled yeld escaped him as the Seviper bit down. Fire surged inside his veins, and he faltered for a moment. Dizziness washed over him. Miror sprang onto the platform and Koa spun to face him, his movements sluggish. Too sluggish.
He lurched back to consciousness soaked and angry a few seconds later, his body buzzing from the all too familiar effects of the reviver seed.
Miror was gone.
Lurching to his feet, he pushed aside his annoyance and focused. Fine then. Taking down goons was something he could do.
Inhaling a berry, he turned and faced the Seviper. Analyze, wait for an opening, and... In a blur of sparks, he struck.

“Koa!” Archie yelled, inadvertently echoing Mhynt. The Electrike wasn’t down for long, thankfully, but that pounding had to have hurt. And, unfortunately, Miror B. chose that exact moment to vacate the fight, meaning they would have to wait before they could return the favor. The Dewott quickly scanned the battlefield. Gladion still seemed to be holding his own one-on-two, Koa was engaging the snake on the stage, and Leaf was brawling with the Zangoose.
The Dewott made to join Leaf, stuffing a Leppa berry into his maw while he did so, and then charged in.
“Looks like I’ve got time for you after all!” He yelled at the Zangoose, then struck once, twice with his Razor Shell, pulling back only briefly, and then swinging again with his Sacred Sword while Reath was still on her back foot!

Leaf wanted to follow Miror B. wherever he'd disappeared to, keep harrying him, crack that infuriating smugness, but the zangoose had finally wised up and was getting in her face. The slash sent her reeling, but she spat the taste of iron out of her mouth and grinned anyway.
"Oh, look, it's ol' Rich Auntie Pennybags! Hope you didn't spend all that cash in one place!"
She's foolish, but she's angry. She's dangerous. Don't get cocky until you're certain she won't have the chance to lash out again. If she's going to get worked up, then that's the window you've got to make sure she can't.

Her horn glittered again as it lanced down toward Reath, but it was quick, focused on striking and feinting, waiting for either her anger or having to ward off Archie's strikes to goad her into a big swing so Leaf could slam the wind right out of her.

He wanted to give talking to her another shot. It felt possible, if he just did a better job of it. But he had to babysit these weirdos, instead. Fine. He placed his bets down on the two not having known Lovrina well enough to understand what was up with Freakshow's colour changes, and moved to restrain Trudly. If he bit the guy's arm in his beak and wrenched it behind him, it would make it harder for him to retaliate. If Folly tried to counter by pulling another Thunder, then with any luck Gladion wouldn't be the one in for a shock.

With Miror B. gone from the fray, it was the peons' time to shine. However, they were quickly about to discover how quickly they could fall out of tune without the quaquaval's direction.
The first was Trudly who, after noticing that Mhynt was getting a good look at his gear, tried to shake the grovyle off with a Flamethrower but her quick teleports made any and all attempts to hit her useless. In addition, trying to track Mhynt as she blipped in and out of existence left the magmar dizzy and unable to focus on his moves for the time being.
Reath was hardly doing better for herself. After all her goading, had been put on the receiving end of an all-out-assault from the Wayfarers before she could reply to any of their quips. "L-lucky shot," she panted. "B-but I-I ain't done just yet, I'll show you..." Yet despite her words, it was clear she wouldn't be able to keep up for much longer.
Ferma, on the other hand, was unbothered by Koa. Sure, the strikes stung a bit but it didn't look like they were doing nearly as much to her as they were to Miror B. "Wow, I almost thought you had way more bite than you did bark," she said to the small canine. "Guess I was wrong, you look to scared to hit a lady."
Meanwhile, Tweedledee and Tweedledum were left ineffectively trading blows between themselves and Gladion. They were beginning to look actively annoyed at Gladion's constant hinderances to their progress. Folly looked particularly miffed at the fact that Gladion had now decided that dirt looked good on him, making any further Electric strikes more or less ineffective.
"Take this!" Reath's claws glowed weakly as she sluggishly pounced at Leaf but after that onslaught, there was no way she held as much of a punch as she did. She still managed to graze Leaf's side but then that was it. She attempted to punch at Archie as a follow-up but it was so easy to see the strike coming that all Archie had to do was take a step back to completely nullify any oncoming damage.
"Ugh, you're so useless!" shouted Ferma after witnessing Reath's attempt to take on the two Wayfarers on the clifftop. "Why do I have to do everything around here?" she hissed as she slithered to where the three were, delivering two quick bites to the Wayfarers. "If we lose, I'm blaming you for everything."
"What is this thing made of!?" Folly growled at a Trudly who was too dizzy from Mhynt's maneuvers to answer, hardly noticing that Gladion was biting down on him. "I can't wait until Miror B. deals with you," he spat, clearly frustrated by the ineffectiveness of his own attacks.
Then, from the forest came Miror B.'s voice...
"Well come on! It's time to pick up the pace!"
He leapt out of the forest, appearing at its edge. It seemed that he had gone off to grab some extra supplies from one of the hidden stashes around the campsite. It was easy to tell that Miror B. had started getting serious as he was now wearing an even flashier pair of shades and with a few quick taps of his feet...
The moves doubled in speed and Miror B. looked ready to dive right back into the fray. However, as Miror B. looked invigorated by his dances, his peons were starting to lag behind the beat, beginning to grow tired. Reath, who was already on her last legs couldn't keep up and she ended up falling flat on her face out of exhaustion.
Miror B. momentarily looked disappointed by this but continued his extravagant routine. The show must go on, after all.
As this was all happening, the murkrow who had been watching the battle closely suddenly scattered, flying off in countless directions. What could have startled them so?
