I guess it's half timing and the other half's luck
Our high school band has the oppurtunity to travel to the capital of Missouri, Jefferson City, next Monday for the governor's inauguration. We get out of school for almost the whole day, plus we get charter buses. If you don't know, charter buses are really nice buses, much nicer than your average school bus. They aren't much more comfortable, but we took them to St. Louis last year and they were really nice.

The band going is a big honor because we are the only band from the Kansas City area. Apparently there is going to be one high school band from every region of Missouri.

I'm happy about this because I love to travel, I get out of school for a day, even though it's the day I'd rather be in school. My school has block scheduling so we have four different classes everyday. although it now feels that marching band will never end. And marching in the cold isn't fun.
