• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

"I am hardly an expert in its use. I can only pray something will come up, or that one of your number will devise something. Perhaps – and I do mean this sincerely – you could all find a psychiatric therapist...?"
You first-

The look Anubis gave him made him wonder if he'd somehow sent the thought out loud or if Anubis just knew him too well. The arrival of Sada did nothing to improve his mood. Wonderful. So many of his favorite people all in a room. Did anyone else want to show up? He was actually grateful when Anubis stepped subtly forward and spoke.

"Thank you," Anubis nodded to the strange feather-lizard. "Any aid now is appreciated."
Malachai ruffled his mane and cocked his head at the lizard. "So. This fellow... fired on our enemy? And he wounded our ally. How curious. What shall we do with him? I stand willing and ready to devour him should that be the verdict."
Anubis whuffed in a way that sounded like laughter. "He may be chewy." He knew only what Alpha had explained to him, and didn't find himself concerned given their much more dangerous prey of the Rabbit. But he could not ignore that Gladius had tried to harm Alpha. The mere thought stoked his inner fire to a blaze.

"Perhaps the hunt is even now. That one-" he flicked his ears toward the Hybrid "-struck at us and has been hunted in turn. We should put him aside to focus on the greater threat."

"He could help with intelligence, but not much else," Mhynt said. "We need to focus on our final threat at this point. It's getting dangerous... But we aren't in a spot where we can discuss freely. Maybe he should come with us back home. We can gather ourselves and prepare for our move... after some rest." She still ached. "Do we know how much time we have?"

"Who're we eating? The lizard? Can we, I don't know, not do that?"

The bleeding from his ear was already starting to ebb after eating the berry. Should've made it hurt less, but any gains on that front were being outpaced by the receding of the adrenaline rush. They weren't actually going to eat Nolan, he knew that, but the overt hostility was stressing him out more. Nolan wasn't really his enemy, but Gladion still really didn't want to be forced to play mediator for him either. (Couple centimeters down and he'd never have gotten to see Forlas safe, would've lost the chance to set his affairs in order and say goodbye.)

"I can let him off the hook." About as close to saying that he got why someone might have a crisis of conscience and try to shoot Gladius after being made to work for him as he was gonna allow himself to go. "Everyone's alive. Let's keep it that way."

Gladius had given him that letter. If he wanted to make right with Sage, and Sage wanted to forgive him, then maybe it'd nice for Sage to still have someone in their corner when the Wayfarers were all kicked out of Forlas. Or at least someone who understood what they were to turn to if they had a health scare. He nudged the Zoroark with his foot.

"That includes you. In keeping with the spirit of breaking from our family traditions, I don't think making a mess then fucking off, dying, and leaving it to the next generation is your best move here."
