Deep in the forest of Auriet, there lies three kingdoms: Emerald, Light, and Thorn. These three kingdoms co-existed in peace, until the rise of Pokemon gangs. These criminals took after humans, developing technology the kingdoms have never seen before. Fortunately for the kingdoms, their protectors arrived just as soon as their antagonizers. Team Gemstone, the world renowned explorer team from Wigglytuff's guild, settles down in the large crater that served as the boundary marker between the kingdoms. This is where the adventure starts.

Rules:
Please be kind to others. If you do happen to get in an argument, argue in DMs and not in OOC.
Feel free to go moderately crazy. I allow minor legendaries and Pokemon hybrids (mix of two or more Pokemon).
Pokemon are very human-like in this universe, having human-like villages and technology outside of the kingdoms. The kingdoms are very guarded and so have medieval levels of society.
I'm very lenient on Pokemon moves. If you feel that a Pokemon should have a move isn't in its moveset but could make sense to, I will allow it. You can also have more than four moves because I know movesets are hard to keep track of.
Character limit is unlimited. Have as many as you can handle.
Now for the PG 13 rating. This is a dark world, and so I will allow violence and gore (just don't go into too much detail in case some people are squeamish). Minor cursing is allowed. Any sexual acts can be mentioned but no detail. Romance is also allowed, just make sure to DM the person if you want your characters to have a relationship. Your characters can also have children if you wish.
If you want to get rid of any of your characters, DM me and we'll figure out the details from there.

Personality: Ruby has the heart and brains of a leader, and is headstrong in her endeavors. She has a nasty temper however, and is extremely stubborn in her thinking. She often tries too hard to help others, ignoring her own problems, which usually blows up in her face. She has a witty sense of humor, and is extremely protective of her friends.

Backstory (optional): Ruby grew up as a wanderer, she had a group of friends that traveled from village to village and just did what they wanted. Eventually, Ruby ended up at Wigglytuff's guild and made friends with Sapphire, Silver, and Shadow. They created Team Gemstone and with hard work, rose to be well known in the small community surrounding them.

Other (optional): Ruby is the leader of Team Gemstone, but also is prophesied for some great destiny. Unfortunately, this is vague. All Ruby knows is that she has the divine attention of Arceus on her, so she tries her best to fulfill whatever it is she has to do.

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Alignment: Team Gemstone

Personality: A little bland, honestly. He’s a good friend and a good listener, and gives good advice from time to time, which is why he’s second in command. His simple personality is why he makes friends easily. He does have a hero complex and a skewed sense of justice, however, and can be quite snappy in his judgement.

Backstory: Sapphire grew up with his parents, his aunt and uncle, and two cousins. His parents went missing, and his cousins presumably killed in some accident, and so he set out to find them. He met the rest of his team and decided that an exploration team would be an easy way to find his parents.

Other: Sapphire is the second in command of TG, but he seems to be shirking his work as of late...

Name: Silver

Pokemon: Shiny Eevee

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Sexuality (optional): Heterosexual

Alignment: Team Gemstone

Personality: Very bubbly and happy, but not naive. She knows the horrors of the world, but she won’t let it break her spirit. Despite this claim, her emotional state is very fragile, and she doesn't handle betrayal, or as least what she thinks is betrayal, very well. She loves to make friends and keep them happy as well. Don’t make her mad, because she turns stone cold furious. She's also a hopeless romantic, and believes that you have one soulmate and that is your first love.

Backstory (optional): Silver grew up happily with a village of Eeveelutions. All the adults would look after the kids, and Silver and her twin brother were raised well. However, and attack on the village caused her brother to run away, and so she went searching after him.

Other (optional): Silver has a huge crush on Shadow.

Name: Shadow

Pokemon: Shiny Zorua

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Sexuality (optional): Homosexual

Alignment: Team Gemstone

Personality: Shadow’s a bit of a recluse; the only time he comes out of his shell is near his three best friends, and he doesn’t let that happen in front of others often. He’s quiet and calculating; mysterious. Anyone who tries to figure him out will probably go insane first. Despite this, he’s loyal and protective of his friends.

Backstory (optional): Shadow's past is shrouded in mystery. All he ever lets slip is that he is a runaway from something, that's how he found TG.

Other (optional): Shadow is aware of Silver's crush, and is trying to let her down slowly without shattering her.

Pokemon: Marshadow
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Sexuality (optional): Asexual for now because she does not like people. Once she opens up, Bisexual
Alignment: Someday team Gemstone. Right now Amethyst is rogue and Avoids other pokemon as much as she can. She hasn't talked to anyone in years.
Personality: Very edgy, shy, and does not talk much. However very loyal. She is good at battling because she trains everyday.
Appearance (optional, if your character is a hybrid or looks different then the Pokemon it is):
She is shiny (Shiny marshadow has virtually no difference for the most part)
Backstory (optional): Amethyst was raised by Flygon named Tremble. When Amethyst was nine, Tremble was in a rush and had to leave and never came back. Amethyst still to this day wants to know what happened to Tremble.
Other (optional): Amethyst is an exceptional battler and knows the following moves.

Backstory (optional): At the age of 14, keldeo learned a new move and transformed into what it is today. Keldeo is now faster and stronger. He joined team prison but is responsible for the death of the leader, Mienshao. He feels awful for it but stays because it was a mistake. He still feels guilty.

Is it OK that Team Prism, although only being team prism for a bit before joining team gemstone, exists?

To answer the questions about moves, sure! They seem harmless enough to not be OP. Also yeah it’s fine to have them be a team before, I actually had a very similar idea as well
 
That's it for my Pokemon. If i know anyone else who might be interested i'll see if i can get them involved so there are actually a few people for roleplaying.
