• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

D/P/Pt Small Platinum changes (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)

As I said earlier, I was going to try burning a fire type/freezing an ice type using the eevee-lutions. Well, it worked for Flareon. I got it burned. The problem now is, it is very hard to freeze Eevee and then level it up on Route 217. Any help would be great. I need to know what moves can freeze.

Blizzard, Ice Beam, Ice Fang, Ice Punch, Powder Snow, Tri Attack, and Secret Power on snowy terrains all can freeze an opponent. Secret Power has the biggest chance of doing it.

And then get a Rare Candy somehow, since, well, it'd be hard to level up a frozen Eevee.

I know, obvious.

Err, they took out the noob guy in Oreburgh (yay) but the Ace Trainer in Canalave Gym now says "noob." Just when I thought Platinum was getting better.

Thanks for the moves, it still might take me a while. I'll try to get a Rare Candy. Maybe I'll beat Hall Matron Argenta (I find her easy to beat) and get loads of BP. Rare Candies only cost 16 BP, right?

Like I said, you can also use the switch-out technique or the Experience Share. If you're that set on getting an RC, though, there's also the Dowsing Machine...

A small change to the contests I noticed today... there are now three difficulty levels.

The basic one from D/P is used in Normal Rank contests, the harder version from D/P is used in Great Rank contests, and there's a new difficulty level for the Ultra and Master Ranks--everything goes faster than before, there's a new song in the background, and it seems a lot harder to get "Excellent" ratings when your Pokémon is the leader.

I love your rival's animation. Pure genius.

When you battle a gym leader, this little bar comes up and says VS and shows a picture of the leader. That's how I realized that I find Volkner...sort of bad-looking.
And in the Elite Four, the same thing happens, except your picture is on the far left, which is cool. And that's how I really got to notice Flint's afro. xD
