• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Phantom

Uh, I didn't do it.
Soooooo excited, anyone else waiting for it? Oblivion almost made me fail high school. And Skyrim will most likely get me fired.

So excited, so excited, so excited. I haven't even gotten around to playing Oblivion, because GOTY Morrowind has possessed me so thoroughly, but I'm totally ready to play Skyrim. I'm going to buy a 360 just for this.

That mmd....

Serious though! It took long enough to make it, it'd better be good. And I am happy it's taking place in Skyrim. As much as I will miss Morrowind, it's nice to be somewhere new. And dragons! TES was always lacking dragons.

I've played as an Argonian
Before, and I shall once again
In Skyrim, but I wonder now:
I'm cold blooded, so tell me how
The hypothermia game will work.
I hope the dev team doesn't shirk
From letting me just freeze to death
When I have nothing on my chest
Or legs, and it's 20 below
And I'm out shiv'ring in the snow.

Magic, maybe? Or maybe the argonians in Skyrim have adapted to northern living with thicker scales or something.

Anyways, I'm amazed I haven't posted in this thread yet. I'm a HUGE Elder Scrolls fan, and I'm eagerly awaiting Skyrim. :D

I'M AMAZED AT YOU PEOPLE, NO POSTS SINCE THE E3 REVEALS!

Go to Bethblog, revel in the wonders of Skyrim, watch the supposed XBox360 gameplay footage.

I've already pre-ordered it. I only managed to play a limited amount of Morrowind and Oblivion, but that was still enough to make me love the series forever. I'm just hoping that they don't delay the game like so many other games have been lately.

I would have posted but, um.... Yeah I started playing Oblivion... and um.... yeah I think that's the only excuse I can give....

I've actually become torn between Skyrim and ME3.... SO ready to kick some Reaper..... Does a Reaper even have an ass?

Reapers don't have an ass. Reapers have a billion asses. Made from nations and all.

Anyway, DRAGONSPEEEEAAAAAAKKKK. Bought oh so hard.

I have a little observation.

In oblivion at sky ruler temple, the blades called Martin 'Dragonborn' Or 'Dovakiin', Which is what the protagonist of Skyrim is known as......

Cloud Ruler Temple? And yes the Septims are called the Dragonborn, except V's happening in Skyrim... Not Cyrodiil. It is possible that it's just a name, but the Septims were never litterally born of dragons, nor did they have those abilities.

Also it happens 200 years after the events of Oblivion. The Septims are long dead with Martin.
