• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

    Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

    Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Things you believed as a kid?

To this day there is part of me that is convinced that everyone can hear my thoughts.

The entire world you see is a Truman Show like charade, but it's also an experiment to see how someone would develop if they're never taught the ability to read minds.

Aww man, I've been discovered! :O!

Good thing I just start thinking unintelligible gibberish whenever you or any of your thought-hearing compatriots pass within whatever I deem to be mind-reading range!

I'm an idiot.

I used to believe that when I lied, my tongue turned black if it was a very bad lie, and green if it was a little white lie.

I used to believe in Santa until I was 5, and I woke up in the middle of the night, watching my mom put presents under the tree.

I used to believe that the tooth fairy actually made my teeth come out, and she gave me stolen money from banks. (I'm not kidding!)

In an episode of Pokémon, Jessie or James hit something with a slingshot and said "I got a bullseye!"
I thought they were talking about the slingshot itself so I used to think slingshots were called bullseyes.

When I first heard "if looks could kill" I thought they were talking about looks as in appearance, not as in looking at someone. As in you said they were so ugly they "could kill someone". yeah...

I thought that closed captioning was done by a guy who sat and watched a channel and transcripted the words. And every once in a while he fell asleep and that's when the CC glitched up.

You mean it isn't?! Oh my goodness, mindblown. (Well for live-tv anyway, for the longest time I just figured that a person was given the broadcast a few moments beforehand and had to transcribe it resulting a few mistakes.)

....How do they do it??

I think I believed in the boogy man for about a few months or so just cuz I had a nightmare about him kidnapping me after midnight when I was 8.....o_o;

Around after having that dream. I was a weird kid. O-o;
