Suicune takes a few moments to still its shaking, and raises its head high so the faint sunlight glints off of its crest. There's a bubbling sound behind it, and Whirr can see the small pool behind it begin to slosh back and forth. The Aurora Pokemon barks sharply and the water rushes from the pool and from behind the stone walls, sweeping along the ground with an impressive roar. Whirr buzzes in surprise as the wave throws it to the ground, and clicks sharply as it tries to rise through the water pushing it into the ground. The water slowly fills the bottom of the alcove, and Whirr floats to the top and pops out of the water spinning slowly. As it looks around, it sees the water doesn't appear to be receding, though it could float above the surface. Suicune did this?

Whirr flies over the surface of the water towards Suicune with a low buzzing sound and spins its gears quickly. Suicune barks as they crash into each other and Whirr spins, catching Suicune's fur between its gears. Suicune pulls away sharply and makes another noise as Whirr stops and spins the other way, pulling itself closer to Suicune's body before releasing the Aurora Pokemon. As it floats away, the bell hanging from it begins to ring, faintly but still audible. Whirr pauses in the air to listen, making a sound of appreciation.

With a low, almost inaudible growl, Suicune lowers its head to the water's surface and breathes on it, a light blue pulse of light spreading through the water. Suicune raises its head and ripples start to form around Whirr, spreading outwards from where it hovers above the water. The ripples grows until they lap against Whirr's base, but before it can move out of the way the water rises up to encase it, the blue light glowing faintly. Whirr makes a faint, pained noise as the salty water wears at its rusty parts, and pulls its down sharply against the bottom of the pool. Whirr floats to the top with a faint buzz, clearly exhausted.

Almost reluctantly, Whirr flies forwards and spins its gears, catching a large chunk of Suicune's fur in between its gears. Suicune hisses and tries to pull away as Whirr digs its gears into the legendary Pokemon sharply. As it pulls away Whirr goes spinning the other way, quickly spinning about in the air and flying at Suicune again. It barks sharply and bats at the gears digging into its chest, sending the Klink off with a huff. The bell bound to Whirr begins to ring again, and the Klink pauses as the sound calms it down enough to stop shaking slightly.

Suicune growls again and lowers its head to the water's surface. A pale blue light spreads from its mouth to the surface and ripples through the standing pool, pulsing around Whirr. The Klink tilts to face downwards shakily as the water reaches up and encases it, pulling it down towards the rock floor. Whirr thrashes about weakly as the saline water wears away at its rather rusty body, peeling flakes of metal off of it as it floats back to the surface. It's in horrible shape as it surfaces from the water. Whirr is flaking everywhere and seems to be having trouble even hovering in the air, shaking as it does.

It slowly bobs towards Suicune, making a weak clicking noise. Appearing to steel itself, Whirr dashes at Suicune and catches its chest fur between its gears, tugging sharply. Suicune makes a huffing noise and pulls away sharply, sending Whirr spinning the other way again. It reverses itself and appears to shudder, before it spins even faster and zooms back towards Suicune. Suicune barks as the Klink catches more of its fur between its gears, though this time as it pulls away a large chunk of its fur stays with Whirr, spinning through its gears for a few rotations before going flying off behind it.

Whirr bobs away, still spinning at high speed. Once it's a decent distance away it slows down almost to a stop and appears to droop. One would be able to see it's in horrible condition a good distance away, with its peeling exterior and shuddery movements. Suicune huffs at its opponent, who obviously can't continue like this for much longer. This would be easy.

Farfetched (no i will not use that pun) combo time! Rest + Protect or something and Chill afterwards.

On the off chance that has no possibility of working, Protect + move into the water beneath you (hopefully the impact will be somewhat cushioned by the water or something) and Rest.

Rest + Protect/Protect + move underwater ~ Chill/Rest

Because this is really just all delaying the inevitable, good game! I think!

Whirr springs back to life with a strained groaning sound. Its Trainer wanted it to Protect itself from the Legendary's attacks, it knew that for sure. The other things, Whirr wasn't sure if it could pull them off. Making a louder groaning noise, it begins to shimmer with a green light that explodes away from it quickly, forming a barely visible, pale green barrier of light that quickly encases it.

Suicune watches this with a critical eye, and makes a sort of shrugging motion as it raises its head and makes a high pitched keening noise. The water around its legs trembles for a moment, before rising up and rushing towards Whirr, completely encasing the Klink in water and pulling it down to the bottom of the pool. The glow of the green light around Whirr is more visible under the water, and there's a bright flash of light as it disappears all of a sudden, leaving Whirr at the bottom of the pool and looking around wildly.

Suicune doesn't give Whirr the chance to reorient itself with its location and makes the same high pitched noise again, mercilessly causing the water around it to tremble a final time. Whirr, still underwater, didn't have time to process the fact that the water around it seemed to be bubbling and quivering before water exploded from beyond the walls of the stone alcove, and flooded in over Suicune's head; a hundred tons of water rushing towards Whirr. The Klink only has time to make a faint clicking noise dulled by the water around it before the huge wave crashes into the water, making it spin about underwater, and bounce off the bottom of the pool. Whirr's already unconscious as it floats to the top of the water.

The stone alcove disappears around Whirr and its Trainer with a small burst of light, the room appearing completely white for an instant as metal walls begin to retract into the ground. When visibility returns to the room, it's just Whirr, Whirlpool and the image of Suicune standing on slightly wet panelling. Suicune nods to the Trainer before leaping away and disappearing in a burst of static, and the door to the simulator room opens, allowing Whirlpool to exit. He picks out a Pokeball from his belt and recalls his fallen Klink before exiting, the industrial lights shutting off behind him. The same girl from before exits the control room, holding out a hand and offering consolations. She casually steers him out into the main foyer with all the figures and models of legendary Pokemon, and suggests trying again sometime in the future, before she disappears into the back rooms again.

Notes
-The room has returned to its normal state.
-it's not possible to combine Protect with anything, so Whirr used Protect only.

Good game, Whirlpool! Try again later, maybe? Mink and Whirr gain 1 EXP each.

oh so now i can get skill link bullet seed

Good game, I guess! I made a few big missteps, but at least I got to evolve both Mink and Whirr!
