Closed X: The step into other worlds

"Yes I think we should go." Kirita said curtly. She then started that way. He had to be here. Somewhere, he had to be here.
 
Kirita shivered. This tunnel was oddly cold, and it almost frightened her.
It's dark in here...
Take out the pendant and put it on then.
The minute Kirita did so, it started glowing brightly enough for the path to be illuminated a bit more than it had been. Where were they?
Alright, I'm putting Zora back on. I'll keep the pendant lit though.
...Fine.
Kirita inhaled deeply as she waited for the connection to be transferred. Who knew a black dot could suddenly become this? She was so busy thinking on this she didn't notice the different voice in the back of her mind and she jumped.
Yo.
You scared me, you know that, right?
 
As Yakko entered the town, its solitary state became more obvious. There was no lights, nobody walking the streets, and nothing looked like it would last for more than a few days. He wondered if anyone was here, when he looked straight ahead. A man stood there, and he was holding a limp body. Raiquen.
 
Kirita merely twitched when she laid her eyes on this.
H-he...
He what?
He's there... Right over there... Unconscious or worse... Dead...
No wonder you sound so worried... Is there anyone with him?
Yes... One man... And I don't know what he wants...
 
The man threw Raiquen onto the ground, withdrew a double-bladed halberd, and charged the group.
"Argh!" Yakko yelled, barely dodging the slash.
 
Kirita also narrowly avoided it, emitting a slight squeak as she did so.
He's attacking!!
Raiquen or the guy with him?
The guy with him!!
Kirita... The voice wavered with nervousness, Get out the knife. NOW.
She obediently got out the knife. But as suddenly as she did, the blade sprung out of its own accord.
"Wha...?"
 
The man literally glided backwards, his blood-red hair swishing in the way of his face. He tapped the unconscious Raiquen with the halberd. Almost immediately, Raiquen rose, his eyes as red as the man's hair. They both stared at the group, before attacking.
"What's the big idea? I didn't do anything!" Yakko yelled.
 
Kirita looked absolutely terrified, and again seemed paralyzed. Her eyes were locked onto the knife, which was continually growing longer until it looked exactly like a sword.
Kirita... Why aren't you moving?
Rai's attacking... His eyes are red... That man seemed to do it...
Aw shit. SPIRIT!
What? A third voice asked.
We've got an Alpha-Niner-Delta.
...Understood.
 
Sephii brought out her scythe. She started to slash at them.

"I'll care for Raiquen's wounds later." she said, still attacking.
 
Raiquen blocked oncoming attacks from Sephii and went directly for her, seeing as she was the only one attacking him. The man, meanwhile, glided over to the small group and began to attack them.
 
She's scared shitless.
I can tell.
H-help...
At that moment, Kirita's body seemingly fell limp as the sword-knife finished its transformation.
 
The man smiled. Kirita looked helpless. He paused for a moment, then swung his halberd directly at her side. Raiquen stopped focusing on Sephii and went for the entire group.
 
OK, go.

As the halberd struck Kirita's side, she gasped and her head snapped up. A killer gleam shone in her blue eyes, and said eyes flashed a familiar green for a second or two. She grabbed the weapon, shoved it out of the wound and stood up, though her side leaked blood. The sword-knife gripped tightly in her hand, she dashed at the man.
 
The man rapidly spun his halberd, disappearing behind it right before Kirita reachrd him. He reappeared a good distance away and watched as Raiquen attacked Kirita from behind.
 
Kirita whipped around and, while making an attempt to block the attack, delivered a fierce kick to Raiquen's head - something she would normally never do. After blocking said attack, she tossed up the sword-knife from under her leg and caught it with her left hand.
 
Raiquen's head snapped back, but he turned back to look at Kirita as if nothing had happened. He looked insane, blood dripping down the side of his face from the kick and still smiling evilly. Raiquen twirled his sword, unleashing a barrage of attacks while the man watched solemnly.
 
Kirita grunted. Several of the attacks had hit, as she was not expecting it. Blood dripped down her sides, but she was still standing as if she had not gotten hit. Her torso was covered in slashes and her face was moist with sweat. She again gripped the blade tightly and launched a counter-attack at him, swinging it wildly.
 
Raiquen was hit with most of the attacks, but he eventually stopped the onslaught by bringing his sword up and deflecting a particularly violent slash. Looking up, he was obviously tired, and stepped back to rest as the man glided through the air towards Kirita.
