Zune!

spaekle

emotionless and cold as ice
So I managed to find a Zune! It's a little 8GB one, but that should be plenty of space for me, and it's blue.

I'm glad I found it. My favorite part is not having to put up with iPod/iTunes any more. :> My previous mp3 player was an old 30GB iPod video that had the shit scratched out of it. People at school called it a brick and I felt uncool and outdated (although a little happy that at least that one didn't break after 8 months like all the others).

I'm going to be moving my thumb in circles and wondering why the volume isn't going up for months to come.

I am happy. That is all.

Ooh, cool! =D I have a Zune, and I really like it, though I've never had an iPod so I can't compare it to one. It's only 4GB, but it works for me~

congrats! i had a 30 gb zune, but moving to a macbook phased it out.

i agree that it's better than an ipod, at least on windows. itunes on os x doesn't really give me problems..

Personally, I believe the iPod is overrated. I'm not saying the the iPod is a bad product. Just look at the above figure: 75-80% of the marketplace is phenomenal, and a bad mp3 player would not occupy such. The menus seem intuitive enough, and the casing is nice and smooth. However, the iPod has issues, such as the automatic sync, sub-par battery life, and the hyperactive click wheel. Sound quality is horrible when listening to standard issue iPod headphones. I'm not sure if that's due to the iPod itself or the headphones.

The Zune is also a great product, but it too has issues. As mentioned, the screen resolution does not look attractive on the larger screen. In fact, it can look downright cruddy. It's complete lack of compatibility with the Mac OS is also saddening. I would purchase it if not for this fact.

Also, I have an iPod Nano. But I'd love to get a Zune sometime!
