Miscellaneous life updates for anyone curious:
  • I had sterilization surgery about a month ago! The recovery was a little rougher than I was expecting, but I'm happy to have it done and not have worry about pregnancy risk. It's something I've been considering basically since I was 18, and with the current political climate (+ good insurance from work) it felt like a good time to get it done.
  • I applied to a couple jobs on the east coast (where my partner and many of my friends live, and away from my parents). They're internal with my current company, and I have a third interview for one soon. Fingers crossed that I get it; it would also be a huge promotion for me!
  • I'm about to hit my 6-month anniversary of testosterone! It's been awesome so far and I'm really happy with the changes I've seen.

If you are wondering about the pronouns, I'm fluid and I prefer people using the pronouns that are correct at the moment, but that's impossible on a forum, so just pick the ones you'd like to use. And at least try to use he/him or she/her. I don't particulary hate most other pronouns (except for they/them), but I don't like them either.
