The United States leave Iraq

Diz

Overdosing on placebos

Obama is withdrawing it's troops from Iraq, which seems to be more of a victory for President Bush.

We're finally leaving. Or are we?

The United States Government is leaving behind a massive embassy.

The fortress-like compound rising beside the Tigris River here will be the largest of its kind in the world, the size of Vatican City, with the population of a small town, its own defense force, self-contained power and water, and a precarious perch at the heart of Iraq’s turbulent future.

They neglect to mention in this opening paragraph that it cost around 1 billion of the tax payer's dollars to build, and costs around 1 million dollars annually to maintain.

So, TCoDer's, are we really leaving Iraq? Why has our current trasparent Administration hushed up the enormity of this building?

I had never heard of this building before, except when I watched Fox's Glenn Beck with my grandpa last night. I couldn't find mention of it on The New York Time's website, and it took me about an hour of searching to find this article.

Its great that we're leaving Iraq, but it doesn't seem like we are, leaving that HUGE embassy behind

Yeah, who was that dumbass who put the troops there again?

Anyway I think this is a pretty bad idea because it seems like you're leaving a bit of America in the country forever for no reason but it's better than leaving the troops there.
And come on, one million a year to maintain is nothing compared to the millions funneled each week into the dumbest war ever waged.

Also Glenn Beck is a terrible and insane man, don't watch his show.

Yeah, who was that dumbass who put the troops there again?

We're leaving with a victory. Whats your point?

Also Glenn Beck is a terrible and insane man, don't watch his show.

He is also very entertaining, informative, and competent, one of the best show hosts on the only TV in America that provided equal and fair coverage of both parties in the past election.

Seriously, ripping apart a country and just leaving them in that mess?

I think the embassy could do some good, at least it won't make the U.S look like even bigger jerks that can't help clean up their own mess.

yeah we would kind of look like a giant jerks if we just packed our bags and left them with the shit we caused there
iran didn't actually do anything to us, we just were like oh hai guys need some help? and then we decimated half their country.

I haven't actually been keeping up with this war as much as I probably should be but you know
I am glad there are now signs of it eventually ending

We're leaving with a victory. Whats your point?
Pffffhahahaha. If your definition of victory is 'now the whole country hates the USA and the 'war on terror' has been massive counter-productive oil-fueled circle-jerk' then you sure did, gj.

He implied he wanted to take naked pictures of a female guest on air and never apologized.
Started crying during a show for no real reason.
Was talking about how he hates everyone in Congress and they should all resign then replied to the question 'well what are your real convictions' with 'I believe in God. I believe in the founding of this country. I believe George Washington, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson were geniuses.' Yes, you believe in god and some presidents good fucking job.
Fox News photoshopped pictures of people they dislike to make them seem ugly.
Fox News lets O'Reilly have a show where he malignantly harasses and insults people with massive cognitive dissonance (ie when Bristol Palin got pregnant and he cried shame at the liberals for noting the irony in her mother's abstinence-only views when he'd insulted a lady whose daughter had gotten pregnant a while back).
In fact I could go on about O'Reilly for days because he's human shit, don't know that much about Glenn Beck right now apart from the rare shows I've seen but seeing as he's Fox News' mascot he's probably even more scummy than is readily obvious.

Oh wow best channel in america here goddamn

having a war-torn country full of people that hate the USA because it caused the war is not a good idea for either party
too late lol.

Either way I read up about this a little and I think that leaving said embassy for a bit is probably a decent idea but I think it being that gigantic and god-like is stupid. If only you hadn't, you know, jumped in there for no fucking reason.

I've had continental breakfasts more balanced than Fox

(see it is clever because continental breakfasts usually only come with like one side of the food pyramid)

attn kids in this thread who get all their information on politics from fox news (did you know fox claims all the politicians involved in scandals are democrats? I don't think you can find a Mark Sanford-D on any other channel): watch the real news shows plz. By that I mean, of course, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

on topic: hurrah, only about six years too late.

also one embassy compound, no matter how fortresslike, is better than a combat mission ok :|

Welp I've decided: I'm gonna give up studying, move to America and become a Republican. Then I will live the best life imaginable as long as I hate everyone (not including rich white heterosexual males)

We're not talking about Bill O'Reilly, we're talking about Glenn Beck, and the fact that you don't regularly watch his show means that you don't have the evidence to call him terrible or insane.

Either way I read up about this a little and I think that leaving said embassy for a bit is probably a decent idea but I think it being that gigantic and god-like is stupid. If only you hadn't, you know, jumped in there for no fucking reason.
That's what I'm trying to put across, that we shouldn't have put up that huge embassy in a country that we've destroyed and left.

He's a highschool graduate who comments on politics. And I saw him randomly start crying on a show, that man is definitely unstable.
Plus he can't, you know, answer basic goddamn questions.

Good job on ignoring the points I actually made, hero.

And alright, you asked for this: Glenn Beck being a crazy asshole, a compilation.
Glenn Beck And the Environment:
Blasts studio lights, 'to show I am such a supporter of Earth Hour.'
'Wants to hear from' people who 'cut down trees tomorrow to celebrate Earth Day.'
Pretty much jizzes self over caller describing people hunting and cutting down trees on Earth Day.

Glenn Beck Is Probably a Paranoid Schizophrenic:
Says the 'global werming movement... is about population control.'
Thinks ACORN is some kind of weird Mafia: '[T]hey break kneecaps... Maybe they do, maybe they don't, I don't know'
Claims his former ACORN guests are 'in danger' for opposing ACORN funding.
Beck suggests ACORN may kill him for his coverage of them.
Thinks Sotomayor being appointed is a clear sign of a violent Marxist takeover.
Thinks Obama is cartoon supervillain or Don Corleone: 'I don't claim Obama has an ennemies list, but I wouldn't put it past him either.'

Glenn Beck Is Delusional and Sociopathic, Knows Fuck All About Nazis But Damn If He's Not Going To Compare Everything To Them:
Claims he rejected the cries for his running for President because 'What do you mean, we ran out of missiles?' would be the most used expression heard in his cabinet.
After stating, "I am not saying that Barack Obama is a fascist," Beck compares auto bailout to actions of German companies "in the early days of Adolf Hitler"
Beck compared Gore's global warming "lie" to "Goebbels or Hitler"
Beck on disputed claim of White House "threaten[ing]" hedge fund: "It's Brown Shirt stuff"
Beck cites Hitler example to state that "empathy leads you to very bad decisions"
Beck compares car dealership closures to Nazis; warns "Gang, at some point, they're going to come for you"
Beck attacks Wal-Mart for joining CAP, SEIU on health care, compares to "what happened in ... Germany ... under Hitler"

I can provide more if you so wish.
And here's a couple of palate-cleansers:

EDIT: seriously I think he might need some serious help or something, Jesus. Americans: is he an unmedicated paranoid schizo? Because that would make so much sense. Persecution complex, hallucinations, disorganized thoughts.
But that's every Republican so er.
