*The Smog, it had an article on psychic-types.
I definitely see your point about Starmie. So how about this:
starmie
<Analytic> @ Choice Scarf
252 spd, 252 satk, 6 sdef
~Trick
~Surf
~Hidden Power Fire
~Rapid Spin
The strategy here would be to first get out and trick the Scarf onto the opponent. After that Starmie would almost definitely move last (discounting forced switches) so Surf and HP-Fire would be superpowered. Plus, it can now wall Scizor BulletPunches. The problem is, that would leave me without an Ice-type move on my team to deal with Dragons—oh wait Aerodactyl's Ice Fang will do for that.
As for Sigilyph...how does this sound to you?
sigilyph
<Magic Guard> @ Toxic Orb
252 def, 252 sdef, 6 satk
~Cosmic Power
~Stored Power
~Roost
~Psycho Shift
Aside from being completely helpless against Dark-types, I'd say this works pretty well. Theoretically, at least. All I have to do is get in two Cosmic Powers, and then I have a dual +2 defenses as well as a 100 Base Power attack. And roostStall when necessary. Sigilyph won't get poison damage but the counter can still increase, so Psycho Shift + Magic Guard + Toxic Orb works perfectly. No Flame Orb here because I'm already using that on Swellow. I could switch 'em, though. What do you think works best?
On Aero, it gets amazing coverage and it (along with Swellow) has completely swept an opponent's team before. So I really don't want to get rid of it. Sigilyph replaces Claydol as a mixed defender, Starmie replaces Charizard as a special sweeper AND Claydol as a spinner. And I have Skarmory and Mantine for dual def/sdef. And Skarmory can stall people to death with Roost. It's amazing. [but on the subject I use Aerial Ace as opposed to Brave Bird because I don't like the recoil on my wall.
...Didja know Mirror Coat Mantine is really, really good? Maybe if I gave it Focus Sash for those thunders and I'd have an ideal Jolteon counter. Whaddaya think?
Psh, Blissey dies to any physical attack. SWELLOW used FACADE! BLISSEY Fainted! Or at least, that's what's happened in the past. And I bet Swellow could easily 2KO a Chansey even with Eviolite, and I doubt it'd be able to do anything fatal in between.
Dealing with Heatran is simple. Mantine+Surf. Starmie+Surf. Aerodactyl+EQ (assuming there's no Balloon).
PAY DAY MONEY $$$--*shot* Well I can definitely see a Technician monster on our hands. 120-power Bite, 80-power Fake Out--yep, that's definitely an at least plausible idea, if you can get around Persian's [barring Speed] mediocre stats.
