• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • I see. Well, I can't really give you any advice there except that you should confirm those rumours when you feel like you're ready, and not sooner, but not later.

:o Musical theatre as in the ones in Black/White?

Well, if she has a pretty good idea that you have a crush on her, why would a "Cory, is that you?" be awkward? I mean, she and her parents would expect you to call her once in a while. Or if it's absolutely too awkward for you, does she have an e-mail? And since I assume you know where she lives, if absolutely everything else fails, try snail mail? I maintain contact with one of my friends through regular mail. Just any form of contact would be fine. Things will grow or wither from there.

You know you're a scarf enthusiast when you measure time in scarves.
D: I don't look like that now! That was three years ago!
So if there's always been rumors, would it make a difference if you answered "Yes, I do have a crush on her"?

If she's going to your school, then that would be great. If you don't want to wait until then, or if she's going to a different school, then get her Facebook or her number or something. Anything to maintain some form of contact. Maybe go out once in a while, just as friends (this will definitely spew a whole bunch of rumors, though). And when you work up enough confidence, then shoot.

Is that the scarf on your profile? :D
What I think is that if your crush doesn't know that you have a crush on her, and you tell everyone else that you have a crush on her, then it might be potentially embarrassing if she were to reject you immediately. Based on a few pages of conversation back, she probably has some sort of suspicion, if nothing more.

The decision here, I'm guessing, is between letting her friends soften the blow of declaring that you have a crush, at the risk of a poor impression, or sucking it up and telling her straight off, and having a chance to make a great impression. So, the first move would either be her confronting you about the possibility of you having a crush on her, or you telling her that you do. My suggestion is to make the first move, but wait for the second. And after you make the first move, and she makes the second, you could start telling everyone that you have a crush on her.

    And, sure.
Yes, I would. I'm sorry. But I'd listen, try to understand, maybe give solutions that wouldn't work (logical answers to non-logical problems, mostly). So, uh, yeah.
    :D *crosses fingers*

Don't worry, there's always next year's Winter *patpat*

    ... Right, that makes sense.
Ooh! You still haven't posted a picture of your awesome scarf! I need to see

I'll probably do homework for the two weeks, finish EV-training my team, arrange a few tunes, organize my room, maybe actually go outside for once (maybe to Victoria? :D). Our house is decorated whichever years we have nothing to do, so probably this year :) Incidentally, didn't you already have your first snow? We did here, anyway.

The year before you were born, Victoria got a huge snowfall - I think it was 115 cm over two days. Older people say that was awesome.

Why were you born in Vancouver as opposed to Victoria?
I know, right? At least they're okay with Pokémon.

Also what's your avvie now? And what do you plan to do during your Christmas holidays?
"[...] when I was younger I wasn't allowed to wear a Yu-Gi-Oh t-shirt because my (other) uncle abhorred 'hellish' creatures."

Same here, with my dad - he ripped a Yu-Gi-Oh! card right in front of my all of my friends.
I'll be taking your newest challenge, and since the requirements are so specific you should get your squad together as soon as possible.
So, I guess your crush doesn't go to your school?

Offering you money to go out with her. That's really desperate/creepy o_O
Wait, what? I remember from a few pages of conversation back that you have a crush. And apparently somebody offered to go to 3rd base with you?
Either the government has a very loose definition of gifted, or your school is very talented for some reason. I'd put the gifted IQ range at around >130, which is just over one in 50 students. In a class, you have 25-30 students. So, in an unbiased sample space, you'd need 1250-1500 students in one grade to fill a class, which is a lot. Just an observation. But still, o_O. Are you doing the Gr. 12 Provincial this year?
"[...] our twelfth grade class will focus mainly on skills learned in third year university."
