• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

"I liked Kris. She had a cool design. No matter how I look at it I cannot bring myself to like this girl's design (although I won't be playing transgender...). I'll get used to it, sure, but I'll probably never actually like it."

    me on HGSS in 2009
right??? von karma is the best ever and gant is the most satisfying thing because he's so Not Nice.
(for just you) this isn't the end tho. i'm not giving up. four months is too short a time for us to be together. i am totally willing to try again in the future. but now is not the time. just know i love you and i do care.
That's cool. I've been busy a bit too. Though I'm 'trying' to be a bit more active here, but it's not working!
Sort of! I think I've just kind of reached the wind-down point of school, hopefully--it ends on the 22nd. (Actually saying that it seem so far away??? It's much nicer to say there are ten days left.) The past few days were pretty bad, but optimistically that's all over now, I think! Optimistically. So I'm just going to try to finish OFF in the meantime and do... something over the summer. Not sure what that is yet.

    You?
Cardcaptors! What great fun that show was. I remember telling my friend I thought there was something going on between two of the main characters but he thought I was being silly (this was before we knew gay was a thing), but then I recently looked up the show on wikipedia and apparently originally there WAS something going on there but it was cut out of the English version.

I'll be sure to check out Madoka and Death Note then... eventually!

I can't recommend much since I've only watched a handful of series too, and most of them a few years ago. My brother's seen Monster but he hasn't said anything about it, so I don't know if he thought it was good.
I intend to watch Death Note eventually, but I've been thinking that for a few years so I've no idea when I actually will.
And my brother has Firefly on DVD so I could so easily watch that pretty much any time I wanted but it's another thing I've always intended to do but never do. Silly me.

I've also recently become acquainted with people like me at university. I've always been really reserved about speaking about what media I like in public out of fear of bullies, so when I was talking to someone about a duck that was staring at us, and he said "he's trying to use his geass on us", it took me by surprise.
They talk about Madoka Magica a lot, and I was thinking about checking that out. Have you seen that, and if you have, is it any good?

Ones that I regret not being able to watch from the begging are things that with a massive amount of mystery revolving around them. It's not just feeling of waiting to find out what the mystery was all about, but also speculating. Speculating is great fun.
Lost is a big one but since that's easily in the category of shows that you have to watch right from the beginning without missing any episodes otherwise you have no idea what's going on at all, I can't really recommend it.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I really like, though a tad too much fanservice for my liking. I'm checking out the manga for that now due to my probably naïve reasoning that there won't be as much fanservice there. Although it's still ongoing so I suppose it's still new.
And as for video games, one I got into really recently and which shot up into my favourites was the original Deus Ex. I expected it to be just a typical FPS when I got it, especially due to my only experience with the franchise at that point being trailers for more recent games which were more typical FPSey (and trailers don't really do games justice in the first place anyway) but I quickly came to understand why it won so many "greatest PC game of all time" awards.
Thanks. I think you are, too. Actually really!

While it might be nice, I don't really feel up for talking right now, sorry--a lot of things just kind of went wrong today and yeah. I'm really just exhausted, so I think I'm just going to hang out with my dogs for a bit, shower, and go to sleep.

(But if you ever want to talk, also, feel free! I'll be around.)
