• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

    Telegram?

I see that the old IRC channel is defunct, and I saw something about a Telegram chat. I used to be very active in the IRC and was just wondering if I could grab a link to the Telegram to check in if that's okay!

    NaNoWriMo 2013

I'm still ahead. Which is good! Because I think this year I've got a better conception of the whole story, and I've planned out large sections of it into chapters before writing which means I have a continuous stream of chapters to write. So I don't have to think about what I'm writing. I've...

    NaNoWriMo 2013

it's okay! if you don't have enough words, just write as many words as you can. nano is really about getting more words on the paper than you usually do. don't get disheartened, just sit down and write. because you enjoy writing, even if you think you hate it atm.

I think it is, but it also depends who's giving it to you. The Cardiff exam guidance lists it as PASS but maybe on the degree they call it an ordinary.

UK degree classifications go like this: first class honours, (upper) second class then (lower) second class honours, third class honours, pass, fail. My 2:1 is ~= to 3.33 - 3.8? GPA in the US, I think.

The interview went well, or at least I thought it did; they didn't offer me the place. But on the plus side I graduate with a 2:1 so that's pretty cool. Because of the depression they're going to let me resit some exams to see if I can get a first. But the 2:1 is pretty good anyway so!

Would you like to be famous or...?

I fully intend one day to be the Prime Minister of the UK (yes, Scotland either comes back or doesn't leave at all but everyone's happy) who spearheads the full integration and political union of the EU, leaving my post only to become the EU President. So I'll take both options, Bob.

It's so dark. Lemongrab is deeply disturbing and makes me feel uncomfortable, which is great. Also I love LSP.

Would you like to have children?

They cost a lot and I think they're only really useful if you're going to grow old and die. I'm optimistic that those two things won't happen to me so I don't need children. I'll just get a puppy.

The QUILTBAG Club (formerly the LGBT club)

We're totes going to get gay marriage. it's still unequal though because gay couples have no consummation requirement nor is adultery automatically grounds for divorce. and gays can still get civil partnerships yay rights!

Heavily based on this tutorial. It's reasonably time consuming but I enjoy the process and I've streamlined it now anyway.

All four races. For example, in one of my worlds the gargoyles are less innovative than the humans but they're far better at maths, for example (not that they think of it that way, it's just kind of a natural thing for them). On Ellos everyone is human so I don't get to play with that. or...
