[09] MurrMurr vs moon-panther

Alright. I think I got the perfect attack order here!

Use Avalanche to bury those two, hopefully it will hit them both when the Sub breaks under the weight of the snow. After you are done with the snow, use Quick attack and Iron tail to cause as much damage as possible to the Lizard! You can do this babe!

Let's hope for a miss too on the lizard's attacks~

Avalanche ~ Quick Attack + Iron Tail.

Round Six

MurrMurr (O)

Mr. Powalski (M)

- Starting to flag. Has a substitute with 9% health. Is currently ice-typed.

moon-panther (O)

Energy: 29%
- Even more tired than before, but not out of the game yet. -2 Defense

Once more feeling speedy and energetic, Mr. Powalski sets his eyes on Fang. One hand bunches into a fist as he prepares for his drain punch, fighting energy flowing into the appendage. Unfortunately, though the kecleon has inherited his ice type from the hailstorm, he's nowhere near as adpet at moving about in it as a natural ice pokémon would be. The glittering curtain of falling hail hides Fang within its shifting folds, and though Mr. Powalski does manage to spot his opponent through the hail, when he rushes in to attack, he doesn't judge his strike quite right--the drain punch whistles over Fang's shoulder.

What's worse, the glaceon is standing still, eyes closed as she concentrates on her attack. The hailstones in the air around her have coalesced into much larger chunks of ice, which hover patiently in a ring around the ice type, just waiting to be released. When Fang hears (and feels) the drain punch go whistling past, he opens his eyes, pouring just a little more energy into the growing avalanche, then launches the icy barrage straight at Mr. Powalski. The kecleon scrambles back, but it is ultimately his substitute that saves him. The fake kecleon pushes Mr. Powalski out of the way of the flying hunks of ice, itself becoming buried by the attack. Mr. Powalski watches a pile of icy fragments accumulate atop the construct and when, several seconds after the attack has ended, the substitute fails to make an appearance from under them, he hisses to himself, vowing to get revenge on Fang.

As it turns out, he may have the opportunity to do so sooner than expected. The glaceon's tail is radiating a cool white light as it is reinforced by steel type energy and, in a blur of motion, he crosses the arena. Mr. Powalski has barely turned towards Fang before the glaceon's tail comes whistling around and slams into his side with a horrid crunch. A blast of pain lays Mr. Powalski flat out on the floor, his skin flipping from icy to metallic in a matter of moments. There's no time for him to rest and recover from the attack, though; if he doesn't get moving, and fast, he's going to be pelted into unconsciousness by the hail, which is back to making its presence known with each stone that smacks against his skin.

Mr. Powalski forces himself halfway to his feet, his fist glowing with intertwining strands of green and brown energy as he charges his drain punch, fighting against the blackness creeping in at the corners of his vision. Stumbling a step forward, he half-falls on top of Fang, who is trying to get his breath back, and slams the drain punch into the base of the glaceon's skull. Fang reels, and Mr. Powalski perks up almost immediately as a rush of new life roars up through the connection his punch has established with the glaceon. The hailstones shift his skin back to a pale blue, but Mr. Powalski endures; though Fang manages to tear himself away, thick strands of green energy pulling reluctantly from his fur, the brief contact has been enough to give Mr. Powalski enough health to get by on--albeit not terribly comfortably.

Fang has done all he can manage for the round, giving Mr. Powalski the perfect opportunity to finish the glaceon off with another drain punch. The hail is a little thinner now, too, though not enough for Mr. Powalski to notice a significant difference. His quarry's limped off somewhere to escape his last drain punch, but Fang's too tired to have gone far; Mr. Powalski gathers energy for another drain punch and gets to his feet. Peering around into the hail, he catches sight of what he thinks must be the glaceon's diamond-tipped tail and lunges, throwing his drain punch with desperate exuberance. Once again, though, the confounding hail throws his aim off and the drain punch misses--though Fang has to sidle out of the way in order to prevent the kecleon from running bodily into him as he staggers after his overextended punch.

It is only after the drain punch goes awry, of course, that the hail fades to a tinkling drizzle, then stops entirely, and the roof overhead begins to close, blocking out the clearing sky.

Mr. Powalski (M)
Health: 6%
Energy: 11%
- Sporting a viciously aching side and getting very nervous. Is currently ice-typed.

moon-panther (O)
glaceon
Fang (M)
Health: 5%
Energy: 14%
- Close to collapse, but determined to fight on. -2 Defense

Terrain Notes
The Battle Factory's ceiling has slid closed again with the end of the hail, but the trick room will remain for a little longer (1 more action).

Final Notes
- moon-panther attacks first next round.

*grumbles* I was sure that this would have done enough damage to knock the Lizard out...Oh well. Time to do more damage honey.

Lets get this over with. Use Quick Attack with a Iron Tail, then another Iron tail. If th trick room is renewed, then switch the last action with Quick Attack. If he protects, then just chill. We have this in the bag baby~

Quick Attack + Iron Tail / Chill ~ Iron Tail/ Quick Attack / Chill

First, combine Shadow Sneak and Drain Punch, and try to dodge his QA combo. If they can't be combined, just Shadow Sneak and dodge. If you combo'd last action, then Protect. If you didn't, Drain Punch then Chill.

Shadow Sneak+Drain Punch/Shadow Sneak~Protect/Drain Punch~Nothing/Chill

- Close to collapse, but still ready to fight. -2 Defense

Fang takes a moment to gather himself before launching into his attack;
performing another quick combo is going to burn most of his remaining
energy, and his physical condition is shakier than ever. Once the
glaceon actually gets moving, though, he shoots along at a blistering
pace, faster than the eye can follow. When he reaches the place where he
expects Mr. Powalski to be, though, he simply bowls right through empty
air, confused and oblivious to the puddle of shadow lurking beneath his
paws.

With quickness at least equal to Fang's, the pool of shade slips out
behind the glaceon and re=forms into Mr. Powalski. One of the kecleon's
fists is encased in a swirling confusion of brown and green energy, and
before Fang can even finish turning to face him, the lizard deals the
glaceon a heavy blow to the flank. After everything else that he's
endured in this battle, Fang can't withstand the final drain punch and
collapses under its influence. A last few strands of green light pull
away from the glaceon and sink into Mr. Powalski's arm as the attack
fizzles out, leaving the kecleon exhausted but, in the end, triumphant.

MurrMurr wins this round and advances to the second. He also gets $10;
moon-panther gets $5, and I get $8 for reffing. Good battle to both of
you, and best of luck in the second round, MurrMurr.

OK, that was probably the closest call I have ever had in battling. Thank your for the epicness, moon-panther. I need to get me a Kecleon...
