"....Can I have a force field as well?" Amaterasu said, "I can control ice. Will that be of any help?"

She looked up.

"Hope this adventure isn't a waste of time." she said, "Well, anything's better than the boring depths of the Ice Cave."

"Fine then," Savannah said indignantly, yet still keeping up a slight air of friendlyness and politeness. "If you are coming, then you are welcome to have one. In red or green?"

The girl drew up a force field quickly, not wasting time to make it quite as good as the others. It didn't show in the outcome, but she had put less energy into it. Let that be his lesson for many things, including his attitude. With his arms folded in a pout, he was quite annoying, yet his attempted manipulation of her was also amusing. Perhaps she wouldn't even have to pretend to like him.

She stretched out her red force field one more, adding touches of green on it. He was asking her to shape her force field, if she could. Was it not obvious that she had that ability already?

"Of course, Roddy," Savannah said, emphasizing his name to antagonize him further. But to make him her possible friend, it would not be wise to just purely annoy him.

"So, you wish to make a megaphone? Fine with me," She added, with a genuine smile. Savannah shaped the force field into just that, swirling the colors to create a slightly tie-dyed effect.

"Here you go," The tabunne said politely, handing him her red and green creation.

Savannah turned to the glaceon morph. "Are you going to scout?" She asked. "Because, honestly, I wasn't making these to be little comfort blankets for everybody so that they can relieve their paranoia. Now, sure, since you asked nicely you can have one. But are you going to be using it?"

Really, Savannah hadn't wanted to come off as so harsh. The pyrokinetic was one of the better people here. But that didn't matter. She concentrated and made an icy blue shield, then handed it to the glaceon.

"Is blue fine?" Savannah asked jokingly, not really removing the effect of her previous words.

Taking note that the Glaceon was a cryokinetic, mouthing a half-hearted "Go figure," with his lips, the self-conscious Chatot Guardian turned his attention back to the Tabunne who seemed to have taken centre stage with her tomboyish attitude and flexible use of her powers. The special emphasis with which she next said his name was almost enough to prompt a laugh, and he accepted her commissioned creation with an appraising glance, followed by a hesitant smile in return. Generally, Roddy felt more comfortable with open confrontation than with acts of actual generosity. Being less experienced in terms of the latter.

"This seems close enough. Nice job."

He said in what passed for thanks towards strangers. Her name still being a mystery to him, although for some reason asking openly was something he was hesitant to do. Turning his attention to the construct of solidified energy held firmly between his fingers. Slightly transparent, with an almost rubbery feel, and much lighter than a normal megaphone. Whilst probably possessing greater durability... but how much so?

Of course, the main intention of such a device would be to direct the vibration outwards, although nevertheless the energy would have to pass through the force field at some point, and it was probably only a matter of time until such a device reached it's limit and shattered under stress. The tie-dye effect... could it be a key feature of the design? No, he was probably over analyzing this. She was just having some fun. A refreshing concept, given how deadpan so many members of the group seemed to be so far.

"Well then, I suppose we'll soon find out just how good your craftsmanship really is."

Roddy declared teasingly, but playfully so. His stoic expression wavering as he tried to conceal the beginnings of a smile. Moving over to what remained of the door, shattered by his boastful earlier showing-off of his abilities, he swallowed any traces of doubt and stepped through the doorway. Holding the megaphone up to his mouth and "looking around" the dark building with echolocation.

"Isn't anyone going to join me?"

He asked, reverting back to his usual degrading and accusatory tone of voice. Turning around and looking back at the others from out of the darkness, through the open doorway. Practically daring them to follow him into the unlit underground passageway that would take them to the grounds of the sacred tower they were due to desecrate.

'Hm, he is a very mocking person...' Serenity said. 'I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic to that girl or not.' Liza shrugged and followed, Roddy, she thought his name was, into the buliding.

'He did have a mocking tone to him.' she thought as she stared into the darkness. She looked for an electricity outlet, maybe something where she could light up the room. 'I still haven't tested if my powers work yet...' she thought. She held her hand in front of her and attracted electricity to her hand. She pointed her palm down and made electricity shoot out into the floor.

'I believe it works in here. Just don't run into any water drips, or someone is going to get hurt...' Serenity said to her. Liza nodded, all water made her lose control she had over her electricity, leaks, rain, lakes, no matter what. She could still drink it though, she couldn't affect it if anything was in the way of it.

Karae was struggling against the cold that seemed to have filled her mind, making each thought sluggish - but there was a soft, echoing hiss and then it fled as the person above her began to answer. Breathing easier with no weight, nothing to fight against, she relaxed, wings fluttering slowly. "They're small, and..." She tilted her head, trying to figure out how to say this. "My Pokemon won't let me. I try it, sometimes, but..." A moment as she chose her words, brow furrowing. "It's as if you're reaching out to something, about to grasp it, and it's pulled away from you. She does that, when I try to see if I can fly."

Cold silence from within her head - almost as if Dragonair was hiding from something. That was curious enough to make her stay where she was, turning her head to examine the squabble until it resolved itself. "They argued for so long," she said critically. "If they all have the same goal, they should work together, not bicker about it." Still, scouts were chosen and given force fields of some sort, but she hung back, attention captured by her companion who was busy defying gravity above her, and somewhat reluctant to enter a dark, most probably cramped space.

You fear cages... how fitting that you are inside one. The malice didn't flee this time, hovering inside her head and trying to cut her with words.

Jack sighed. He was used to not being noticed but when a Freaking Flower was wrapped around his arm, he thought someone might notice.

"Hey, there bud.." He whispered to the flower. "Do you think you could let go?" The flower unravelled and returned to the ground, but the flower itself still showed. With a sigh, he walked back to the group with the force fields.

With a large yawn, he got down to his knees to bury his apple core, since the plants needed it more than a trash can, and stood up.

"Think maybe we could move on already?" He said to no one in particular." The sooner we finish this, the sooner I can find a nice tree to sleep under."

Close enough? That was... somewhere between insulting and amusing. Savannah wasn't sure which side to take, actually. Was he joking, a social idiot, or just a stuck-up jerk?

He might've been joking, judging be his next, more playful remark. Perhaps her craftmanship might not stand up, considering how little effort she put into it. That would be a little embarrasing, and a cause for revenge. But how?

Ignoring that for now, the tabunne watched Roddy lead the way into the darkness after presumably scouting using echolocation. Perhaps she should follow?

Which, actually, might be slightly ironic. The fact that she had made forcefields so that other could lead and she could stay, had actually caused her to go!

Not entirely ironic, really. It was the fact that she didn't put effort into the one forcefield that was most likely to break. Plus the fact that Roddy was likely to not let her live that down if in fact it did break. While she knew little of him, probably not enough to actually know that, she had a feeling that that would be correct.

He was amusing though, and while also treading that border between fun and frustrating, he was at the moment enjoyable company. So that was enough to follow him.

Savannah took out her pink force field and applied it to herself. It was most likely unnecessary, but whatever. It couldn't harm her. The tabunne walked over to the chatot morph. "I guess I'm coming to," She said conversationally. "Can't have you mistreating my force field and then being left unable to echolocate."

Meanwhile, Mary was silently scolding Savannah and beaming at her at the same time. While her choice of friends was slightly unsettling, she had, at least, approached him.

Looking at the four who were going to scout, Leon decided that they should start.

"Well, if that's everyone, then we should get going."

Leon picked a stick up off of the ground, lit the tip of it on fire, and stared at the group, waiting for them to get going.

Roddy's next move was to leap to the side in alarm as the Umbreon blasted the floor with her electrical energy, making the tiles glow faintly with residual static, and causing him to silently give thanks to his foresight in wearing shoes with rubber soles. Shooting the Umbreon a glance of outrage, she was followed in by the solemn Gallade and the spunky Tabunne, although such was his anger that he didn't even register them until they spoke out.

"I don't need your forcefield!" He snapped irritably, taking out his anger on her, seeing as she was the most convenient target. "I'm perfectly capable of using my own powers without assistance! Just watch this one now!"

Pointing the megaphone at all three of the other scouts, Roddy opened his mouth and used his powers to prevent the air around them from vibrating. In essence, blanketing each of them in a cloak of silence. The flame held by the Guardian of Fire no longer crackled noisily, and the sound of their breathing and footsteps ceased to be. Since they were all wearing forcefields, unlike him, their speech would most likely be uninterrupted. Much to his chagrin. But at the very least, it would make them much more stealthy. Just in case there really was something out there listening for them.

Sneering at them without a sound, Roddy applied the same trick to himself and beckoned for the dysfunctional party to follow him. Any fear that he might have felt stepping into the dark unknown replaced by irrational anger as he stomped his way down the hall, his heavy footsteps making no sound, no matter how hard they slammed into glowing stone tiles. It did have the strange effect of making every tile he stepped on shine brightly for a moment though, and oblivious to this fact, Roddy continued to moonwalk furiously downwards into the abandoned tunnel. Stopping halfway to turn around and stare menacingly back at the rest of the group, most of whom were still waiting outside.

"Well no need to thank me! Move it you fools!"
He mouthed angrilly, his volatile and abusive side fully in control as he lashed out against his teammates for their apparent incompetence.

"Of course I will help scout." Amaterasu said.

She glared at Roddy, who was mouthing something.

"Looks like we better get going." she said, "Move it, guys!"

What? Of course he didn't need it. Couldn't he take a joke? He would obviously need to learn. Her previous amusement about the chatot forgotten, Savannah shot out a thunderbolt and disintigrated her force field, the poor craftsmanship finally showing as it disappeared the minute it got shocked, though it did not harm Roddy.

Would she be able to talk? Savannah was unsure, but it sure would sting more if she did. She did have a force field on. "Of course you don't need that force field, Chatot," she taunted. "So I got rid of that for you."

She turned to the glaceon, and nodded. It would be smart to get moving. "I agree with you. We should get moving."

The tabunne morph gave a satisfied smirk at Roddy at the continued use of her voice. Force fields were certainly useful.

Roddy's anger seemed as though it should have directed at her. He did glare at her when she shot the electricity into the ground, but he decided to take it out on the girl who created the force fields. 'I believe her name is Savannah, you should adress her...' said her umbreon's spirit, with an odd tone in her voice.

"Savannah, I think his anger was supposed to be directed at me..." she whispered to her, finding she couldn't talk, unlike savannah. 'Well, that plan was spoiled...' Serenity said almost agravated. 'What are you planning?' she asked her. 'You'll find out soon enough...' she said snickering.

As Jack listened in, he realized that there was plenty of friction between several members of the group. He scratched the back of his Tropius helmet-thing, and then walked towards the girls.

"Don't worry 'bout that guy." Jack said with a smile. "If you let him get to ya, then how are you gonna work at 100 percent?" Jack thought back to before Nikin's "death." When he had been fun and courageous...Instead of a lazy guy. But hey, that's who he was now, and that wasn't going to change...

Looks like they finally got some scouts going. They didn't need you after all. Ayden could hear the upbeat tone in Luke's voice as it rang through his head.

"You don't need to say that you told me so."

That ruins the fun. Listen, I think it would be in your best interest to actually start getting to know the ones that you'll be escaping with.

Ayden sighed. Didn't he already try this? And now, the "socially excellent" Lucario was coaxing him into making friends with people he frankly didn't care for.

"Luke, I don't care about these people. As long as I get out of here. Besides, you know how seclusive I can be..."

Ayden, that really doesn't matter right now. Cooperation could mean the difference between life or death.

Ayden yawned. "Fine. Anything to get you to stop bickering at me." Not receiving any snarky responses from his friend's spirit, Ayden looked around for someone who wasn't scouting. Soon enough, he laid eyes on the Gyarados morph that had snapped at Aureus earlier. His name was...ah, he couldn't remember right now. Ayden wasn't even sure his name had been spoken. Taking a deep breath, he walked over to the Gyarados morph, clearing his throat.

"Hey. Name's Ayden. Any reason you didn't want to try for this useless scouting?"

Elijah turned as someone walked over and introduced themselves.

"Hey. Name's Ayden. Any reason you didn't want to try for this useless scouting?"

Elijah smiled faintly and replied.

"Name's Elijah. It just seemed rather pointless. I'm tempted to just walk in and head towards the tower alone, rather than wait for them to get back. Honestly I think they're just paranoid."

I'm impressed, Elijah. You didn't snap at him, you even seemed halfway civilized. Tempest thought, approval in his 'voice'.

Oh, shut up.

The sound of Tempest's laughter ran through his head.

Scowling as the megaphone in his hands evaporated seemingly into nothing once more, and even more at the use of that abominable name, Roddy felt that the Tabunne was pushing him. Testing to see how much abuse he could handle without snapping. Patience was a difficult virtue to master, and alas, something the enraged Chatot had in only minimal quantities. He wasn't going to waste any time in getting revenge, even if he had been the one to start the argument in the first place.

Returning the Tabunne's smirk, Roddy turned around and started to Swagger down the hallway in an extremely exaggerated manner, directly in front of the scrappy one who someone had called Savannah, his delicate fine-tuned senses having detected the Umbreon's failed attempt at speech and decoded it.

"I hope the barriers around the others are harder to break than that last one. Are all your shields so weak Tabby?"

He whispered to her on a special frequency, hoping to strike at her where no force field could protect with his inflammatory comment. Continuing to Swagger, he wondered if her forcefield could protect her from something that wasn't a direct attack? All he was attempting to do was enrage her into a state of confusion. The idea of watching her attack herself in a disorientated frenzy making him chuckle quietly. The end of the abandoned tunnel visible to his echolocation in the far distance.

Nonchalant towards the Ninetails' words, he continued to lead the way bold and unprotected. Scorning whatever defences he might have thought to exist no longer. Right now the greatest obstacles preventing the team from reaching the tower were themselves, which seemed hardly worth consideration, now that they were beginning to fall in line under his, and regrettably, the Tabunne's leadership. Glancing backwards, he wondered curiously if his concealed attempt at disruption had made any impact. Just how perfect was her protection?

"Yes, but still," she said to the electrokinetic umbreon. "He insulted my force fields. Nobody does that and gets to keep their protection.

And then he did something even worse. Strutting down the hall, he had the guts to insult her once more. Had he not learned his lesson?

Why that little... Savannah was about to retort and offer quite a few curse words in return, along with a punch in the face, and in fact she did start. She opened her mouth and started to talk, mouthing something quite rude, but before she actually spoke she caught herself. He was trying to trick her! Swagger, that was the move. Well, she would show him. She clenched her fist, trying to resist the urge to attack him. Words would be so much more effective...

"What, you can't deal with me without using moves?" she managed to taunt, ignoring the fact that she had, in fact, just used thunderbolt on her shield. "I thought you were better than that, an intellectual opponent. I was wrong, then, wasn't I?" Her voice changed in pitch quite disturbingly though, perhaps it was the minor confusion that still affected her. "Perhaps we should go, shouldn't we, before he uses a move that I'm affected by instead of swagger."

In fact she was affected, especially considering she tripped on her own feet as she took the lead. She did, also, while tripping, somehow manage to punch herself in the gut, but that didn't matter. She got up and, stumbling once again, took the lead, her victory unaffected.
