Maybe I'm reverse psychology-ing myself too hard on this, but it seems like at least one of these has to be coincidence, feels too obvious of a play to me if they are all connected. That said I'm not comfortable joining the Bfree wagon, I haven't done a full reread/ISO but I felt like all her analysis seemed pretty genuine. So between the two I'd vote Mawile on process of elimination, but it wouldn't be a vote I feel particularly good about.

Feeling a bit stuck as well because I don't want it to go to no elim, but none of the options are compelling to the point of swaying me in one direction or the other.

I don't want to based on sheer personal sentiment, LOL. I am compelled (against Mewt) by the back and forth regarding Dodge's previous games, but not having read them myself I don't want to follow blindly.

That said I do think the assertion of playing shallowly doesn't necessarily match with poking around old games, just in general, but it's sort of a new concept to me as the ways I've played before didn't have that kind of resource to reference.
