Yeah, there actually isn't anything that special about this arena. The Pokemon battle on a flat expanse of hardwood planks. Somehow, the floor just keeps stretching on; no matter how much you run around, there's nothing but wood, wood, and wood. The planks can't be removed or destroyed in any way because they're just that awesome. They can be set on fire, but when the fire dies or is put out, the wood will regenerate. In other words, a lasting fire can be summoned in this arena. Most fires will fade out in 3 rounds unless actively put out.

The referee slashes her flags through the air, listening none too carefully to the Trainer's commands. Rather lazily, she waves them again, and not hesitating for a moment, the Pokemon are once again on the move!

Fubuki looks back at her Trainer with a nod, and hesitates for a moment. Walk up to Rinna..? There were spikes around the stupid Eevee, how- muttering to herself, Fubuki realizes her Trainer meant to move as close as she could, and would've facepalmed if she could. Taking a few cautious steps towards the shiny Eevee, Fubuki looks up at her opponent for a moment.

A mistake, it seems. Catching the Snorunt's eye, Rinna whimpers and paws at the ground for added effect and bursts into tears, rubbing at her eyes with her other paw. She wails loudly and looks at Fubuki through tear-glazed eyes, all the while extending an unseen tendril of energy towards the Snorunt and messing with her emotions. Fubuki gasps, now a bit unsure of her opponent's motives. Was.. she really crying? Did she actually hurt that much, did the Snorunt go overboard..? Wincing for an unknown reason, Fubuki looks down in shame. Rinna turns away, trying to hide the fact that she's now shaking with mirth. Stupid, stupid Snorunt, she thinks, and wipes her tears on the ground.

The wall of light floats forwards in front of Fubuki, as to shield her from any sudden attacks Rinna might try. After all, she may be crying but a battle is still a battle, and you always have to be on your guard. Wincing as Rinna turns towards her with tear-stained fur, Fubuki takes aim at her face and calls forwards the memory of her birthplace, the cold, cold reaches of an icy land.. A white-blue orb of energy takes shape in front of the Snorunt, and she looks carefully at her opponent. Extending a fingerless hand, Fubuki urges the orb forwards and it obeys, stretching into a thin, concentrated beam of icy energy. Rinna yelps as the energy attaches itself to her face, and she screeches, trying to get the few chunks of ice off of her forehead and cheeks. Luckily for her Trainer, no energy has seeped into her eyes, which may have caused some serious damage. The referee chuckles and whispers "Boom, headshot," earning a glare from FMC.

That is the last damn straw, Rinna thinks, sending burning thoughts towards her opponent, who, like the referee, was very amused with her latest attack. Stupid Snorunt.. growling under her breath, Rinna closes her eyes and dives deep into her stores of power. A faint aura of various dark colours begin to swirl around the Eevee, and quickly becomes more pronounced, taking on the form of a thick, twisting thing curled around her.. Rinna opens her eyes, and barks something unintelligible at her opponent. The aura leaps forwards, taking on the shape of a snake-like creature with gaping jaws. Fubuki yelps and takes two involuntary steps backwards. She's safe behind the Light Screen, she's safe behind the Light Screen.. while the serpent struggles momentarily to pass through the bright yellow shield, it still forces its way through and sets itself upon Fubuki, tearing and slashing at the poor thing, and suddenly, it disappates. Fubuki shivers for a moment, looking at Rinna with newfound respect. The silver little Eevee surely didn't just call up that..?

As Fubuki hesitates, still in awe of that thing, Rinna takes her chance and flicks her tail as a spark leaps off of her, into the air. The move is familiar to her now, and with a pulse of her power, it steadily grows in size and takes on a dark purple hue, until it's only a bit smaller than her head. Nudging the orb towards her opponent with her mind, Rinna forces it through the barrier of light and into Fubuki's face. The Snorunt leaps up in surprise and pain, completely caught off guard by the blow. It seems Rinna has gotten double payback; once for the time Fubuki attacked her when she wasn't ready, and one for the headshot. With a smug grin, Rinna glares at her opponent, panting with the effort of both her attacks. Ha.

Fubuki shakes her head, a bit winded by Rinna's blows. It was time to fight back.. reaching into her own stores of energy, Fubuki calls up the memory of a lake she visited once, and the feeling of water in her hands. Staring into the distance, Fubuki suddenly snaps back to reality and finds a force of something behind a thin wall of energy, ready to be released at her command. Turning towards Rinna, Fubuki lets out a loud screech and the water energy rushes forwards, battering Rinna head over heels.. into the spikes. The Eevee lets out a cry of pain, and gets shakily to her feet. That was unexpected.. though still, the round had gone so well for her, she couldn't help but smile. Rinna wags her tail thoughtfully, and looks back at her Trainer in anticipation.

Mmf. Okay, it's hammer combo time!

Give me an Ice Shard and Blizzard combo. I do believe this is possible, because though both attacks come from the mouth, it's more or less just a Blizzard with a shard of ice in the middle of it. And, Ice Shard is a priority move, so I should get to go first no matter what :D By my calculations, this should be more than enough to knock the Eevee out. However, if this attack somehow misses or something, or she's alive on the second action, give me an Ice Beam.
Now, if Rinna uses Protect, just use Hail. Protect should be the only move she'll be able to execute before you can, since the Icy Wind speed decreases from before make her slower than you. After you use Hail, give me that combo.
I highly doubt she'll use Protect twice in a row (again), but if she does and it works, give me a 10% health Substitute. And on the 3rd action, if she Protects again, uhm. Another layer of Spikes, I suppose. If she doesn't, gimme a Blizzard. I think I've covered about everything.

Tiredly, both Pokemon turn to their Trainers for what will likely be the last time in this match. The referee waves for them to continue, and with rising excitement in their voices, the Trainers give their likely, final commands, and stare each other down.

Shaking off the cold, slow feeling that's been with her for most of the battle, Rinna takes a few quick deep breaths and watches Fubuki with an deep, odd, almost unnatural concentration. Still taking deep and even, but quick breaths, Rinna moves into a stance that'll let her easily jump away from any attacks while still making her seem as if she is unaware of the attack Fubuki is about to perform. All this takes a few seconds, in which time Fubuki is gearing up for her own attack.

Fubuki pauses for a moment as she thinks through her orders momentarily. She nods to herself, and opening her mouth as wide as she can, a cold shard of ice forms inside, along with a pale blue and white aura of sheer cold energy. In a blink, Fubuki wills the shard forwards, the white and blue energy trailing not very far behind. Rinna yelps and dashes to the right at the first sight of Fubuki's attack, into the spikes with a quick yelp, running on until she's sure the icy energy isn't following. Better safe than sorry, she decides, and pads back with a smirk on her face.

Fubuki hisses and glares at her opponent, not very pleased that she managed to escape her attack. And with such a cheap tactic, who actually runs from attacks? Though grudgingly, Fubuki must admit it worked.. and begins to form a ball of pale blue and white energy between her hands. It grows rather quickly to a good, painful looking size, and with a thought, Fubuki flings it towards her shiny Eevee opponent. Rinna blinks and yelps as the orb stretches into a long but thin and concentrated beam of energy, and slams into her side. Once again, Rinna is knocked into the caltrops and she whines as they stick painfully into her side. Ouch.

Rinna slowly gets to her feet, her pelt now scattered with puncture wounds from falling into the spikes again and again. That hurt after a while, dammit! Glaring at her opponent's smug smirk, Rinna backs up and leaps mightily over the spikes scattered around her, her hind paws leaping back off the ground as she steps on a spike, aw dammit. Focusing the memory of the texture of metal into her tail, Rinna feels energy flow into her tail and she dashes towards Fubuki, twisting around and bringing her tail down on her opponent, passing though the Light Screen easily. Fubuki cries out as she is thrown sideways from the force of the blow, and skids a foot or two.

Shakily, Fubuki stands up and puts her hands up, ready to form a final attack.. and finds she can't. The referee mutters something about combos and how she can't use four moves, blah blah blah, though it seems Fubuki's been expecting something like that. She braces herself for a final attack and gets to her feet, ready for whatever Rinna throws at her.

Rinna smiles rather maliciously, and wags her tail. Once more, one last time, she focuses the memory of metal into her tail and jumps towards Fubuki, twisting in a quick circle to slam her tail into Fubuki's side. The Snorunt falls easily at the touch of Rinna's tail, and goes flying, not even feeling herself bounce off the planks as she faded into unconsciousness.

Rinna yelps happily as she finds her opponent's not getting up, and dances around the Snorunt for a moment. A good battle, it seems, as the referee walks towards the Snorunt and makes sure she's knocked out, which she is.. And the battle goes to FMC, she announces.
