"Jacen Ralvarn of Squad One, Naoki Namida of Squad Three, Ayako Kasagawa and Lamourna Takekuro of Squad Six, Kazuhiko Urushihara and Leon Ichimino of Squad Eleven, report to Sokyoku Hill immediately."

Lamourna looked up to the sky as the black Hell Butterfly fluttered past her and Ayako, whom were already well on their way to Sokyoku Hill. These two along with a few others were picked to go and figure out why the sudden decrease in Hollows came about, and Hueco Mundo, the vast, bland desert where the Hollows roamed aimlessly to devour any lost souls and even their fellow corrupted spirits to become stronger and stronger, was the perfect place to go and unravel a mystery in the making.

The incredibly pale girl looked over at her friend, her teal eyes a tad bit curious. "I wonder why these Hollows aren't coming around to the World of the Living," she mused aloud, running a hand through her messy black hair. "I mean, think about it. Why would they just stop coming? They've always stuck around to feed on the souls there, right? I just don't really understand why they would suddenly stop trying to eat their souls. Their hunger must be too overpowering... wouldn't you think, Ayako?"

Ayako stared at a strand of hair between her eyes, only occasionally glancing at Lamourna. "Well, I don't know. I think they're always hungry, right? Either they're finally full, or... Or I don't know. Look, Lala, there's no use pondering it if we're just blundering around in the dark, so just relax. Leave that sort of thing to Research and Development." It was, however, odd that they were being brought to Sokyoku Hill. That was a place where executions took place. Now that she thought about it, was she supposed to bring her Zanpakuto there?

"I know I just said not to blunder around in the dark, but why do you think we're going to Sokyoku Hill? The Butterfly didn't specify really. Do you think we're in trouble? Two members of Squad 11 would do that, but members of 6 and 1 are usually model Soul Reapers, you and me especially." She looked up at the massive rock that they called a 'hill.' Hardly. More like an inverted hill with a flat top. Where people were killed for the highest crimes against the Soul Society. She gulped a little nervously. It wasn't the nicest place to be summoned.

Lamourna glanced down at her Zanpakuto at Ayako's response, thinking back to what the Butterfly had told them. The white-skinned girl and the grey-eyed woman weren't bad Soul Reapers, if she did say so herself. Besides, being in Squad Six made them seem more... what's the word... sophisticated? ... No, that didn't fit well, but it was the best one out of many. So why would two members of a more look-up-to-these-guys Squad be summoned to a place where only the hardest criminals were killed? What did they do wrong?

... Or did they even do anything? Out of the blue, the two and a few others were selected to go on some mission for the Soul Society. Was it a special mission that only the strongest- or, in another case, most intelligent Soul Reapers could handle? Yes, Lamourna and Ayako were indeed tough cookies, but wouldn't it call for more experienced Soul Reapers? Well, then again, there were other things to do around the Soul Society- perhaps Head Captain Yamamoto saw some potential or something in them. Could that be the case?

"Maybe... Maybe because we've proven we're capable of handling this?" It was a lame answer on Lamourna's part, but she supposed it cleared up something of value. "To tell you the truth, Ayako, I'm just as clueless as you are..."

Kazuhiko was tempted to swat the Hell Butterfly when it told him where to go. "Alright, I'm going." He mumbled, adjusting his Zanpakuto. He didn't want it falling out during the Flash Step. Flash Step, the only acceptable form of Kido. There was a woosh, and he was off to Sokyoku Hill, his form appearing here and there as he repeated the Flash Step.

Why summon him? It would be one thing to summon two Squad 11 members-Captain Unohana didn't like them pushing around the members of Squad four-but to also summon two members of Squad 6, and a member of Squad 1? He had even heard of one of them. Lamourna. A creepy little girl, apparently. The only reason to summon a group like this would be to give out a big-time mission. It's only logical that they'd choose two Squad 11 members to escort the weaker ones. Although why they chose Leon, I don't think I'll ever know... To be honest, Leon got on Kazuhiko's nerves. He called himself an officer of Squad 11, but his Shikai was Kido-based. Pathetic.

Jacen groaned, annoyed at the Hell Butterfly that just woke him from his nap. Grabbing the Zanpakuto, he got up and headed in the direction of Sokyoku Hill.

"This better be good," he said to himself, before disappearing.

The Hell Butterfly got the attention of Leon. He nodded and then disappeared from view onwards to Sokyoku Hill.

Whatever this is about, it must be important thought Leon as he continued performing the Flash Step technique until he reached the hill where everybody was at. He simply watched and kept silent while whatever meeting began to take place.

"So what do you think, Namida-san?"

Naoki Namida looked up. He was playing shogi with a subordinate in the squad 3 barracks.

"Think about what?" He answered absent-mindedly as he placed a piece on the board.

"You know, the whole business with the Hollows and what not?" His opponent said as he moved another piece.

"I don't really think anything about that." Naoki answered, "I prefer to wait until I know what's the cause of abnormalities, as opposed to guessing."

"Uh... right." The opponent said. "I suppose that is reasonable."

"Besides," Naoki continued. "It's none of my business, why worry?"

At approximately the same time, a Hell Butterfly came into the room via the window, with an appearance of such delicacy that it looked as if it might break at the slightest touch. Gracefully it fluttered over to Naoki, who raised his finger upon which it landed. Soon after, it started floating again and left as silently as it had entered.

"What was that all about?" His subordinate asked.

Naoki stood up, attaching his zanpakuto which had been laying at his side to his belt.

"As it turns out, I have to go someplace." He said.

"What for?"

"I don't know," he said as he bent down and moved another piece on the board. "But I win."

And with that, he left, making his way to the Sokyouko Hill.

Ayako looked up at their nearing destination. It was an odd place for a gathering of any kind, usually only for unspeakable crimes. While she was terrified of what might occur atop Sokyoku Hill, she was also feeling rather... Safe. If someone was really in enough trouble to be executed there, whether it was her or anyone else, it would've been spoken of many times before, at the very least in whispered rumors. "Alright, I think I can make it from here. See you at the top, Lala." She smiled and gave her friend a little wave before vanishing in a Flash Step.

She looked at the only two there at the moment-a Soul Reaper with a blue sash and a small-looking Zanpakuto, and another with a very oddly colored uniform. Green. She hadn't bothered to look, and just assumed that Lamourna was behind her by now. "So, Lala, do you recognize any of the other names they announced?"

Lamourna felt her eyes narrow the slightest bit as she stared at Sokyoku Hill. Many thoughts ran through her mind: ones of fear and worry for being summoned to the execution and despair, some of curiosity as to why such a place would hold a gathering, and a few of accomplishment for reasons unknown to even Lamourna. She was so caught up in deciphering her thoughts that she didn't even realize Ayako had left at all until the pale girl saw her friend hop off into the sky, heading towards the place where their little meeting had been called.

In an instant, the rather melancholy-looking woman was behind her Squad Six comrade, matching her speed with her own Flash Step. Lamourna's teal eyes blinked a few times as she saw a strangely clothed Shinigami man with green attire instead of black and another with a blue sash. Lamourna turned back to Ayako, though her friend's eyes didn't meet her own. "That Naoki man's name seemed to stand out to me, but I can't really recall meeting him before," she confessed, looking back at Sokyoku Kill. "I can tell that those Squad Eleven guys will be a handful, though..."

Naoki made his way toward the Hill, only really using Flash Step when there were longer distances that would be unconvinient to cross normally. He didn't really like Flash Stepping, he wasn't very good at it and his zanpankuto got in the way of his movement most of the time. His zanpankuto was a bit unusual in that it was unusually long and not actually curved at all, with a silver hilt in the shape of a skull.

With a final Flash Step, he found himself at the hill, the place of meeting. He proceeded to cross his arms and greet everyone who was already there.

Kazuhiko finally stopped at Sokyoku Hill. He looked at the other Soul Reapers already present. He grunted and gave Leon a curt little nod, and only observed the others. The one with the funny colored clothes was standing out the most. He heard a woman say something about Squad 11 being a handful. And he laughed. "Trouble?" He asked stepping closer to her. His mouth spread into a less-than-friendly grin. "You think we're 'trouble?' That really hurts me where I live." He poked his own chest. "That you would refer to us so crudely wounds me deep inside my little heart."

He laughed, and turned on his heel, stepping back to where he had been before. "If anyone's going to be trouble," He said over his shoulder. "It'll probably be you. Talking down to your fellow Soul Reapers. As if you're better." He lauged again.

With the last Flash Step, Jacen reached the hill and looked around for sight of the other Soul Reapers. When he caught sight of them, he ran up to the meeting place.

"Greetings, everybody," said Jacen with a smile. He walked over and took a seat on the grass nearby. While he waited, he decided to admire his Zanpakuto. Pulling out Palara from the sheath on his back, Jace studied the medium-sized blade. It was a perfect balance of strength and swiftness, the bloodred blade not to thick, but perfect. Its hilt was gold and had a fireruby at the base of the promnel.

"So, like, when are we going to start?" asked Jacen, resheathing the Zanpakuto and laying back in a relaxed fashion on the grass.

As Lamourna arrived to Sokyoku Hill, she unconsciously dusted off her uniform and straightened her sash. She really had no reason to do so, but it wasn't like it was going to hurt anyone. Perhaps her conscience took over and made her straighten up to look the slightest more presentable? ... Meh, it wasn't like it really mattered. The petite girl decided to shrug it off and glanced around at the people already there. But she flinched as she heard a gruff voice behind her.

"You think we're 'trouble?' That really hurts me where I live."

Lamourna whipped around to face the man, keeping her expression aloof, and remained silent. The male Soul Reaper had a cold, almost mocking smirk on his face as he so crudely looked down to her, scolding her for "wounding him deep inside his little heart." He turned away with that, but glanced back at her over his shoulder and commented that if anyone would be trouble, it was bound to be her. Lamourna folded her arms across her chest, her head the slightest bit tilted as she blinked her teal eyes at the man. She wasn't really flustered by his words, but was about to punch herself in the face as those words slipped from her mouth, "Pride go before a fall..."

Though the words were not intended to be ones of arrogance or pride, because the monotonous tone she twidged in her voice gave full evidence that she was not trying to make it sound like that, Lamourna feared the other Shinigami would react negatively to her remark. Well, it's too late taking it back now...

Kazuhiko laughed. The girl responded with what he thought was a decent comeback. He gave her another crude smile, his left hand checking the bandages on his right. "Well, aren't you the fiery little lady?" He stepped back over to her, but this time didn't stop until he was only an inch or so away. He grinned down at her, resting a hand on his zanpakuto.

"Let's see, here. Exceptionally dark hair. Pale skin. Doll-face. Small size. You must be the creepy one from squad six. Lamourna, right? You're a fourth seat, if I remember correctly." He grinned. "Very scary. I'll make sure to mind my manners around you." Another laugh escaped him. As much as he wanted to poke her on the forehead to prove a point, he figured that he had done enough.

He was distracted by someone else asking when they were 'starting.' Kazuhiko grinned at this man, as well. "Starting? Starting what? A mission? A battle? An execution?" As he laughed again, he glanced over at the two women. Lamourna and the other squad six member whose name he didn't care to know. One of them, at least, was going to be difficult, it seemed.

Leon gazed at the other Soul Reapers. He ignored the conversation someone was having with one of his squad members.

Everyone should know Squad Eleven is not trouble he thought quietly to himself.

Being that he wasn't the social type, Leon found a nice patch of grass near a tree and sat down until whatever it was started. He pulled the dagger from the back of his waist and it grew into the liteblue Zanpakuto that was thin and swift. The hilt was black, but the blade was frosty blue, just like his Shikai. He was tempted to unleash Kaizon right now, but chose not to. Instead, he slipped Kaizon back into its sheath, the Zanpakuto growing back into dagger shape.

Lamourna knew full well that she was in for it as soon as the man laughed. Her stolic front suddenly faded away as he stepped way too close to her, maybe an inch and a half away, staring down at her with a jeering smirk. Her teal eyes showed obvious discomfort at the closeness, but she made no attempt to back down— that's exactly what he would want her to do. Be afraid of him. ... Or, at least, that's the impression Lamourna got. He seemed like the type, if anything, and Lamourna knew these types of people fairly well.

Her mouth was still in a tight line and her arms tightened the grip into an almost self-conscious hold as the Squad Eleven Shinigami listed off a few qualities Lamourna had, and felt her eyebrow twitch as he guessed at her name. By his response, she knew he hadn't heard of her before. But instead of saying anything, she merely gave him a singular, stiff nod of the head. The man went on to promise her so very dearly that he would definitely mind his manners around her. She shrunk back as soon as he chuckled and turned to the other man, and ran her pale fingers through her sleek black hair. This guy... He was troublesome. Teasing, mocking, scornful... Lamourna didn't really want to deal with him. He didn't make the best first impression to her, and it wasn't guaranteed they'd click anytime soon.

Ayako rolled her eyes at the squad 11 man poking fun at Lamourna. Some people's children... It couldn't really be helped, but still, you'd think even squad 11 would be given some small of etiquette. At the very least, 5th seat Ayasegawa would smack some of them around for "ugly behavior."

"If you're really that thirsty for blood, try going back to squad 11's barracks. I'm sure plenty of your subordinates are just sitting there fondling their Zanpakutos while they wait for a fight." She could already see that this one had something to prove to her and Lala. Or at least Lala. He apparently knew of her, and probably knew her rank. She was higher than both of the two squad 11 members in rank, so if they proved they were stronger than her, they could keep bragging about how perfect their squad was.

Ayako looked towards Lala. "You know, nobody blames you if you castrate him right now."

Getting quite bored and unable to fall asleep, Jacen got up and decided to go and chat. He heard a nice conversation going on about Squad Eleven.

"Hey, Squad 11 is not all bad," said Jacen. "At least, Leon isn't. Still, that guy is kinda creepy if you ask me. Well, not creepy, he just never talks. He is so non-social. Still, he has good fighting skills, I must say that. Maybe he just doesn't need to talk."

Sakamoto had been standing at Sokyoku Hill for a while before anybody had begun to show up, sent there by his captain to await the others. When they had finally all gotten there, he was about to inform them of their mission when they began to bicker. Already?! Damn, these idiots are gonna get us killed in Hueco Mundo if they decide to fight in there. Still, instead of trying to stop the bickering and start the briefing, he decided to just sit back and watch for a moment. Probably not my brightest idea, but eh. Oh well.

Of course, once the cocky one from Squad 11 began to maybe get too loud, and one of the two from Squad 6 told the other that nobody would care if the cocky one got castrated by her, he decided that maybe that was too far.

"That's enough, you three," he said loudly to them, "you can save your fighting for later, after the mission." Turning towards the rest of the group as well now, he said "Now, hello. I am Sakamoto Taiki, 6th seat of Squad 2, and I'm here to tell you of the mission."

"As you may or may not know, there has been a rather large drop in the number of Hollows traveling to the world of the living, and this has started to mess with the balance of the universe," he continued. "Our mission is simple: go to Hueco Mundo, get as much info as we can relating to this sudden drop, and then report back what we have discovered to the Soul Society to await further orders. Any questions?"

"Really, that was the mission." said Jacen. "Still, its a good mission. Its better than noting."
He smiled and then said. "Well, I for one, am ready for this mission."
(not sure what else to put XD)
