Round 3 Start!!!

Vulpix looked at Pika. Although she wasn't threatened by a cute little shrew, she did not want to be paralyzed like that stupid Ralts. Fearing a Thunder Wave, she closed her eyes and generated a small translucent barrier. Pika glanced at the shield, and decided to poke it and see what happened. He felt the see-through wall with his index finger and ascertained that it was solid. Realizing his attacks wouldn't do anything, he decided to think up some evil schemes instead. Maybe tomorrow he would do the thing where you replace the toothpaste with the Oreo fillings, or...

Meanwhile, Magnemite was fearing another takeover of his bodily motions. He glowed a bright blue, then unleashed a shockwave of defensive energy; Vulpix sighed as the blue waves washed over her body and coated her in the protective energy.

Psy, trying to distance herself from her opponents, raised her body temperature. Her body grew highly unstable, becoming more and more insubstantial, before finally disappearing. She then reappeared, a few meters away, in the sunlight.

Vulpix snickered at the Ralts's decision to spend some more time in the sun; she was looking pretty pale, after all. Turning her attention to the scheming mouse, she tapped into her latent psychic powers and scanned Pika's mind. Not unlike how FDR stole Nikola Tesla's ideas by invading his dreams with the Tesla Dream Coil, she located the evil plans and duplicated them into her own mind. Feeling much more diabolical, she let out an evil laugh.

Pika panicked. Was somebody trying to break into his mind? Was this like Inception? Was he going to dream of dreaming about dreams now? He'd better defend himself from any further mental penetration. He rubbed his hands together and worked up a strong electric charge. The charge grew and grew in power until it surrounded his entire body. Pika grinned. Try interfering with my mental functions now, suckers!

Magnemite looked at the mouse, who was currently glowing neon yellow. Scared by the thought of trying to attack the charged mouse, he shifted his gaze towards Psy. He charged up Bug-type energy in his magnets, generating a kaleidoscopic beam of energy. He transmitted the multicoloured ray of light towards Psy. Psy turned around and stared at the rainbow beam that was about to hit him straight in the face, and then did a super-awesome ninja flip to avoid.

Just kidding, she got hit.

Magnemite spun around happily, pleased that it had damaged his opponent; but meanwhile, Psy was fuming. Although she would rather not be next to the dangerous Magnemite, orders were orders... she pointed her hand at Magnemite and called on her newly obtained magnetic powers. The lightweight opponent waved its magnets in anger as it once again found itself gravitating towards the Ralts.

Pika, now fully charged and ready to go, ran towards Vulpix. Vulpix began charging as well, arching back her head and preparing some nasty flames in her throat. Just as Pika collided with her, she let out a roar and spit a huge blast of hellfire at the mouse. The two were both knocked backwards; Vulpix got up and saw that her opponent was in equally bad shape. Both of them had scorched skin; Pika was on fire and running in circles trying to set it out.

Magnemite, interested as he was in the conflict between the two, was being drawn away from it by his green-capped opponent. It faced the pesky Ralts and charged up another beam, firing it at its opponent in a desperate attempt to get free. Although Psy did take the hit, she was not discouraged and continued to drag Magnemite towards her. Finally, it made contact with the Ralts' pale fingers. Psy held Magnemite in her left hand and set fire to her right. She swung her blazing fist and smacked the Magnemite in the eye. Magnemite let out a robotic bleep of pain-- she had hit its weak point for massive damage!

The referee waved his flags and the round was over.

Vulpix use flamethrower on Pika unless it protects in which case hex Psy or if both protect safeguard

Magnemite Signal beam @ Psy / Lightscreen / Psych up @ Pika for all three actions

Vulpix Flamethrower @ Pika / hex @ Psy / Chill for all three actions

Ugh, not in the best of positions right now are we? =/.

Pika, put up a light screen immediately. Then, use Thunder Wave twice-first on Vulpix, then on Magnemite.

Psy, use Rain Dance to decrease the power of those flamethrowers. Then, use Hypnosis on Magnemite. If it worked, then use Dream Eater. If it didn't, then just use Hypnosis again.

Unlike most cave arenas, this one is situated both in the cave and a little bit outside, although mostly in the cave. In the cave itself, the weather makes zero difference at all. Beyond that, this place isn't really all that remarkable in the least.

Round Four Begin!

Pika starts out the round by creating a glowing, bright barrier of light between him, his teammate and the other participants in the battle; he fears that the onslaught of attacks waiting for them would be excruciating otherwise. The little electric type sighs and looks sadly at his burns; that light screen couldn't help what was already there. So, when he's distracted from his moping by his comrade Psy dancing an awkward shuffle, he's rather unimpressed by it at first. Pathetic, he thinks snootily. At least I made this wonderful little wall; this way my teammate cannot possibly ruin our match! It'd be very impossible to succeed, anyway; after all I could handle both opponents by myself if needed. I wonder why she’s making such a fool of herself… His question was answered when it became apparent that Psy’s terrible, terrible dancing angered Zapdos itself and a powerful rainstorm came pouring down—outside. Inside the cave, the battle was completely unaffected and the small pichu just had to facepalm. You are such an idiot! Do you have no common sense? This is incredibly silly, and even worse you have angered the legendaries!

Chuckling, Vulpix decides to take advantage of the situation with one of her favorite moves. Flamethrower, one of the simplest and most powerful moves in her extensive repertoire of techniques was the case in this instance. Superheating the temperature in her mouth and creating a flame, she powers it up and breaths out the powerful fire; it heads straight to Pika’s face. Well, it wasn’t exactly intended for his face, but either way that’s where it landed. He was lecturing Psy at the time, fully engrossed in making sure she didn’t waste time on stupid techniques again. Therefore no time was spent on dodging it, and when the flames hit they also waste no time in licking away at said egomaniac’s face. He screams (like a girl, if that cliché meant anything at all) and clutches at his face; his burned hands only worsen the pain. The vulpix laughs maniacally; despite the unintended landing she would say her attack worked quite well. The light screen worked, but not too well considering the fact that Pika was still screaming. Magnemite fires off a pulsing beam at Psy, trying to catch her off guard and have the whole other team devastated by two powerful attacks. Sadly, this didn’t work quite as well and all that the magnet gets for their effort is a halfhearted glare.

Only slightly over getting blasted with fire, Pika fires off an electrical wave straight at his tormentor. Hah! Think about that next time you try to burn me, he thinks smugly when Vulpix’s grin is immediately wiped off of her face; she can barely move now. She can’t even call for help, she realizes when she looks over and sees her comrade sleeping peacefully. Psy is smiling now.

Oh well, she thinks dismissively. They’ll wake up eventually, and in the meantime I know I can handle this! She once again executes a fiery flamethrower and aims it at Pika, but this time it only hits his chest and other than the normal pain from getting torched in the stomach the attack is nothing special. She wished she could go close range and kick him in the face or something, but her paralysis was still a thing that existed and at the moment her mouth was the only body part she could move. Staring disdainfully at Magnemite, she wishes and wishes for him to do something other than levitating there. However, it seems Jirachi wasn’t listening and all she hears other than the other team’s laughter is the gentle buzz of mechanics. Eventually even that stops when Pika shoots out another stream of electricity, and Vulpix sighs.

The ralts, mostly ignored for the battle except for one attack from Magnemite and a chewing out from Pika, closes her eyes and concentrates. It’s a good thing she remained uninterrupted, because as she leeched health from her sleeping opponent any sort of disruption could have set her off. Behind her eyelids a rose-colored glow emanates, and a similarly tinted cloud seems to flow from Magnemite to her. A few beeps and pained churns can be heard, but even so her target remains stationary.

Vulpix’s newest torrent of flames seemed to have caused quite an uproar, as Pika was screaming again. Newly renewed burns littered his arms, and as he fell to the ground melodramatically (not fainted, just clutching his injuries pitifully) Psy was beginning to realize her one conscious foe’s frustration.

The rain dance worked, but due to them being inside the cave it did nothing.

I'm not sure if I remembered everything; if I didn't, feel free to correct me!

Round Five Begin!

Ready to begin the fight once more (and anxious for her partner to do the same), Vulpix readily cloaks herself in the dark energy ninetales of old were known for. She disappears from sight easily enough, feeling quite a bit better under an invisibility cloak of sorts; however, she still has to struggle while maneuvering her way towards Psy. Sneaking up from behind and smiling devilishly sincerely, the fox pounces and a grin on her teeth bites her wicked fangs on the back of Psy's head. It is on that note she reappears, with nothing to show for it aside from significant bite marks on her target's armor. Cringing, the ralts glares at the vulpine almost with the force of her previous attack--but she has other orders than attacking her. No, there were other chances to exploit. Next she could attack that pseudo-dark brat with no proper use of her (very very weak) psychic skills. She couldn't make her squirm like she could with a psychic, but at the very least she could inflict pain. Psychics knew pain like they knew mind control; well. They went hand in hand.

Focusing clearly, Psy's eyes shone magenta as she began to seep the magnemite's pleasant dreams out from their head and into hers. They dreamt of ticking time, following their trainer's orders, finding another magnemite to bond with (not even romantically), and recharging; it all came off in a sort of impersonal way that made it rather evident they weren't quite as lively as the average normal type. However, they did dream, and so the contents dream flew from them to her; it healed her, hurt them, and overall was rather successful. Not repeatable, however, as with a jolt Magnemite awoke. Studying their surroundings, they focused on Vulpix with curiosity. Just now you wake up? Vulpix thought irritably. Refusing to enlighten her cohort on the battle's status and her current problems with movement, she just nods.

Speaking of having problems with movement... Pika is uselessly pawing at the rock-hard ground. Despite his pitifully weak hands doing little to help him, he keeps on trying. Watching him flail about wildly, Psy tries to explain that some pokemon just aren't cut out to be excadrill, but Pika tells her to shut up. Shocked, Psy resists the urge to facepalm and just stands there with her mouth wide open. Meanwhile, Magnemite buzzes and rises significantly higher from the ground, and Vulpix just stares as well; this time she's the one who can't move. She grumbles, and that reminds Psy of her real objective; flinging mud into that feral's face. She does just that, very smugly.

Blinking, Vulpix determinedly forces herself to be obscured by smoke. Laughing evilly (with just a touch of insanity; that mud really got to her) she once again makes Psy her almost-prey. Magnemite, now thoroughly engaged with the battle, helps out by sending out a vibrant beam of red and blue energy at their ally's previous target. Psy comes out comically injured and slightly singed, but that didn't mean she wasn't ready to attack. Scooping up a piece of her useless teammate's otherwise frivolous dug-up dirt, she flings it right at Vulpix's eyes. It sticks, and the victim is left wanting to rip out her attacker's throat.

However, it seems she might not have to with Psy's breathing. She's wheezing and coughing, just about to collapse from her constant exhertion. Looking at thunder's fire type with weary eyes, she sees her laughing intensely at her misfortune.

That bitch.

Psy, see if you can hit Magnemite with a Hypnosis. Only do it once, though, before chilling. On the last action, use Protect, because otherwise you won't survive and they'll just waste energy on pointless moves then.

Pika, use Fake Out on Magnemite first. Then, use Fake Out on Vulpix(I was told that Fake Out's effects would be able to work if I did this), and end with Wish.

The actions starts, as it had ended previously, with tons of melodrama from all parties. Pika, being the annoying little rat he was, had decided to get some revenge on Magnemite--they made him look stupid! His greatness, reduced to shame and humility! No! He must retaliate! Creeping up to the magnet (wow their species' name was so descriptive) quietly at first, he then gave up stealth in favor of shouting obnoxiously and really, really immaturely. "SNEAK ATTACK!" Were his chosen words; apparently he had never realized the thing about sneak attacks not being very effective when announced loudly and proudly. Nevertheless, some use did come out of the affair; Magnemite was startled enough by the horribly silly pounce that the move did end up having /some/ effect. Sitting there whirring away and trying to process the insane mind of an egotistical electric type, and while being distracted from his commands by that he also became susceptible to Psy's shiny, glowing, crimson eyes. Eventually the mechanical creature was once again lured into sleep (slightly odd due to them being metal, but logic has no place in Asber) and snoring uselessly. Vulpix was also resting peacefully at the time, but when she looked up to see her comrade doing the shame she blew out a small ember in anger. They were always sleeping!

She would have continued with that strategy, but Pika had other ideas. This time shouting "HONOOOR!", he tackled the fox to the ground and flailed around (awkwardness abounded). Unable to do a thing, Vulpix was only able to watch as her true enemy took a peaceful rest herself. Magnemite did the same, except less notably.

Finally, when Pika got up and dusted himself off, Vulpix took off herself and sprung--right into a glimmering green shield. Psy laughed, Magnemite snored, and Pika issued a prayer to Jirachi. In the end, only the psychic was happy; Pika himself would've much preferred to worship Zapdos.

Okay, lets go!

Pika, Chill twice to regain some of the huge amount of energy you just lost. Then. use Thunder Wave on Magnemite.

Psy, use Chill to regain energy. Then, if Vulpix chills, use Disable to disable that chill. If not, use Skill Swap on Vulpix to get her flash fire, unless she protects, in which case Chill again. Finally, end with Chill if you hadn't on the previous action, Skill Swap on Vulpix if you hadn't already swapped abilities with her, or Disable if she used Chill successfully on action 2.(Disable takes priority over chill and skill swap).

Pika: Chill~Chill~Thunder Wave@Magnemite

Psy: Chill~Disable@Vulpix/Skill Swap@Vulpix/Chill~Disable@Vulpix/Skill Swap@Vulpix/Chill

Vulpix is ready and willing for her next orders, despite the nagging feeling at the back of her mind that needed a break—this was revenge. A little bit of sinister mind practice, she could handle that. Of course she could! And then that pathetic little psychic, the ralts, she would faint just in time for her to take a nap. Taking advantage of ghostly powers wasn’t exactly her forte, but the kitsune made do, and as she worked her way into Psy’s mind she locked the move protect just beyond comfortable reach. Next time she tried to protect herself from her assault, she would pay!

No one seemed to care, though. Magnemite, her partner, was snoring away uselessly as ever, her target didn’t even notice aside from a pained tumble in sleep she wasn’t even sure she could take credit for, and the other yellow one was also snoozing. This was pointless! Why was she even trying, anyway?! Nothing changed at all! Angry once more, she repeated her tactic with Psy’s peaceful rest being the victim. Almost satisfied, she went up to the relaxing ralts to gloat or insult…

But fell down on the way and didn’t get up. Foxes needed rest, too. Slowly rising from his nap, Pika realized he felt completely rejuvenated—sure, not quite as full of energy as when he went to sleep, but his almost all of his injuries had healed. His prayers had come true.
