• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

bulbasaur vs Dragon

arena descriptions said:
3 vs. 2 double
Switch
DQ: 5 days
Damage cap: 125%
Banned: OHKO, Direct Healing
Arena: The forest clearing
A clearing within a forest, blah blah blah, we've all heard this before. Water source nearby.

Additional: The one who accepts gets to choose if s/he is to be the one with 3 Pokémon (100% health/energy each) or 2 Pokémon (175% health/energy each).
EDIT: Sendout order: Let the one with three Pokémon be represented as A, and the one with two, B. A sends out 2 Pokémon, B sends out 2 Pokémon, A sends out one Pokémon.
For purposes of experience, unless Negrek objects, each side represents 3 EXP. Each Pokémon on the side with two Pokémon, represents 1 EXP each, but 3 EXP together.

Round 3

Bagon didn't even have time to catch his breath before Taggerung opened his mouth and sent the small blue dragon spiraling into unconsciousness with a single freezing beam of icy energy that chilled the air around it and made the snow-covered ground glitter with its glow.

Meanwhile, the referee tried very hard to think up things to say so the round descriptions would be longer than one sentence.

Arena Notes:
- bulbasaur's side of the field is covered with snow and looks as if it had been hit by a blizzard--oh wait....
- Dragon's side of the field is covered with a thick layer of Toxic Spikes. It would hurt of anyone landed on there.

Notes:
- bulbasaur sends out (yeah, I know you sent out your larvesta, but in case you changed your mind and stuff)
- Dragon commands
- bulbasaur commands
- I think I have all the damage calculations right this round. I even double-checked!

Okay so Tagg, you'll want to start off with a multi-target Blizzard, 'til it hits Aurum. Multi-target means not hitting Ratha, of course! Then Aqua Tail+Iron Tail Oxygen in the face. If you are Protected/Detected against by Aurum on the first action, use Agility instead. Same thing if Oxygen Protects/Detects from your combo. Feel free to just go ahead and accidentally the substitutes, though! If you can, Aqua Tail Oxygen on the last action or Agility if you're Protected against, blah blah blah.

Blizzard/Agility~Blizzard/Aqua Tail+Iron Tail@Oxygen/Agility~Blizzard/Aqua Tail@Oxygen/Agility

Let's see, Ratha.. presumably Aurum's going to try to Rollout at you. So just Venoshock him dead, after Tagg's Blizzard but as soon as you can after that! If his Blizzard misses Aurum, Agility out of the way of his Rollout instead. If he Protects or Detects from your Venoshock, use Toxic on Oxygen unless she Protects too, then Agility anyways. If Aurum's still kicking, Venoshock him now otherwise Defense Curl+Rollout at Oxygen. If she Protects/Detects just Defense Curl. Then, Rollout the next action if you can unless you're Protected/Detected against in which case moar Defense Curl.

going first=ridiculous conditionals

Um so yeah we're losing so badly it's almost funny (but not quite!). Sorry about that!

Aurum
Rollout (Ratha)~Flail (Ratha)~Why am I even ordering for this action?

Oxygen
Super Fang (Tagg)~Super Fang (Ratha) ~ Captivate (Tagg)

going last=ridiculous delay; v. v. sorry
