After being asked by the referee to provide an explanation under risk of exile from Asber (even though the referee didn't hold that power), Chief Zackrai directed him to an article on the MSPA wiki that explained that they were battling in a meteor shower, that Skaia was about to get destroyed by it, and that a moon will suddenly fly out of orbit and into their general vicinity. Vowing to never again take a Homestuck-verse battle again, the referee grumbled before carrying on with his duties. He asked Chief Zackrai to make its selection, which, after a moment of consideration, turned out to be a levitating Magnet Pokémon, with completely blue magnet tips and a special affinity to ice.

Round 4 begin!
Gamzee had been told to Encore a Toxic… but what was there to Encore? He waited around, thinking that the opponent would launch one soon. Sure enough, it came, and was easily deflected by his substitute. So Gamzee twirled a bit and went right up to North Pole, clapping while declaring, "what a great show! There is none who does a Toxic as artfully as you!"
North Pole didn't seem to be convinced yet, so Gamzee added, "the composition of the toxins, the way you elegantly launched it, the graceful parabola; this demands an Encore!"
And so, the levitating magnet obliged. Propelling with confidence the Toxic into the air, it didn't care when the move failed to impact the Mime Jr. due to Mime Jr. Jr. taking the hit instead. Nor did it care that Gamzee was focussing intensely in preparation for a powerful move which it had a double weakness to. But when it was struck by that powerful blow, its confidence was sent spiralling downward. Nonetheless, when Gamzee likened the impact of the punch to the impact of its performance, it felt that it just had to repeat his move. It didn't quite get to prepare the toxins to its satisfaction, though, before it was punched relatively weakly.
As he delivered that punch, Gamzee felt the few wounds he sustained partially heal themselves. Feeling better, he smirked as he saw the Magnemite spit out the Toxic and his substitute take it, suffering no ill effects.
Prospit, in the meanwhile, looked to be awfully apt to land on the battlefield any moment now.
