RK-9 recalls Clyde, watching Chief Zackrai sigh in relief when the Pokeball’s beam stretches through the ground. He thinks for a second, and then promptly sends out one of his own pokemon this time. God the Golett looks at his colleague as God the Servine emerges from its pokeball. Hopefully they won’t have to fight for too long, he thinks. He knows the snake’s power, and he’s sure that he’ll get creamed quickly.

God licks his lips. This should be easy. He has type advantage, after all. Closing his eyes to relish how good it feels to fight again, the Servine begins to gather energy in his tail and charge forward. But then, before his eyes, his colleague waves at him and disappears in a flash of red plasma. Just as quickly, Chief Zackrai has sent out his Tyrogue, and the little humanoid is struck by God’s Leaf Blade before he even has a ghost of a chance to avoid it. The moment that happens, Superbird begins to rapidly wave his flags; though such a situation almost never happens in Asber, the round draws to an early close due to Chief Zackrai’s pokemon switch.

Link begins his first round immediately, by rushing straight forward at God. The Servine smiles, anticipating the blow – He’s been battling for long enough that he knows all the tricks. As expected, Link begins to draw back his fist, and as soon as he gets close the Tyrogue begins his attack. In a definitive gesture of self-defense, God flinches backwards, guarding his face with his tail, tightening himself up and bracing himself from the blow to come…but he’s taken completely by surprise when the attack ends up coming from his backside. He opens his eyes to see Link hop back to his spot in front of Chief Zackrai, and begins to mutter under his breath about that cheap little…

…until Link begins to move again. God shakes his head quickly; he must have flinched for longer than he thought for enough time to pass for that to happen. This time, Link is running faster than before; so fast that God has trouble keeping up with him. The purple humanoid flits back and forth across the room, drawing ever closer to his opponent’s corner, until he finally rushes straight at God, aiming a punch straight at the Servine’s stomach. However, this time God is prepared. Without even flinching this time, he jumps up and spins before Link has a chance to move away, slicing the Tyrogue with his tail. There, that should teach the little pest.

The impact knocks Link back a bit, but the Tyrogue isn’t about to give in; he stands up strong without even the slightest bit of hesitation, readying himself for his next attack. A mere moment later, he finds himself rushing across the arena once more, gaining speed to execute an impossibly fast punch to his opponent. And once again, his attack connects successfully; but then again, the Servine was even more prepared this time. As Link makes contact, his fist collides with the sharp-edged leaves on God’s tail, and they slice a small cut in his finger. Meh, he’s had worse; he’s not ever gonna lose against this thing.

And since I switched the first action, wouldn't the round end with him doing nothing?

(Not really trying to get myself more hp here, just confused a little)
 
You switched, and Servine used Leaf Blade. That was one action. You switched on action one, and Servine used Leaf Blade on action 1.
