• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Dreams of the Past [OOC - Signups]

Both accepted. I find it amusing that the two on the dig team can't dig. XD NPC humans and Pokemon, anyone?

Name: Terra
Gender: Female
Species: Rhydon
Age: 34
Description: Despite being a female Rhydon, Terra's horn is as long as an average male's, which means those that don't know her will often mistake her for one. Her body's colors are switched; she has a gray horn and stomach, and a tan hide.
Personality: Uncharacteristic of a Pokemon, Terra is somewhat pacifistic, not fighting unless she has to, and she doesn't enjoy it when she does. She is calm, collected, and laid back, and though she is very kind, she tries not to get close with others.
Bio: Terra is a member of the dig team.

I may change the Bio later, but for now, that's it. You know, if Remnants aren't vital to the plot, maybe you should get rid of them, or at least start without them.

XD Well since they are important to the plot, being the main reason for conflict... I sort of can't. x3 Accepted.

Why not make them NPCs, then? I mean, nobody seems to be playing them, and at this rate the RP won't get off the ground. There are many RPs where the antagonists are played solely by the DM.

What's this? It's a *gasp* HUMAN!!!

Name: Zemhal

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Age: 28

Description: Zemhal is tall, bulky, and slightly overweight. He has long black hair, tied up in a ponytail. He often wears dark dress pants, a dress shirt, and a jacket.

Personality: Zemhal is, in a word, cold. He is determined to make sure that trainers and Pokemon never rise up again. Because of this, he is prepared to reach his goal, regardless of what he has to do.

Bio: Zemhal is part of the remanants.
Zemhal was born to a wealthy business family, who owned the company responsible for the invention of the energy stealing nets. Zemhal grew up, coming up with many ideas for inventions to use against Pokemon, often they were too cruel to go into development. His parents soon disinherited him from owning the company, after realizing that, were he put at the head of the company, he would cause too much damage in the world with his inventions. Ever since, he has independently been manufacturing his old ideas for inventions, and has been using them, hoping to one day prove to his parents that he should be the ruler of the company, though with every invention used, his parents grow more and more distant from their cruel son.

Zemhal began hating Pokemon when he was only 10 or so years old. He began to learn of a myth of creatures that were similar to Pokemon, but did not have the same intellect and basic undertanding as Pokemon. As Zemhal grew older, he began working on inventions that may be able to decrease a Pokemon's intelligence to that of these creatures. He seeks a world where humans can live as the dominant intelligent species, and where Pokemon are non existent.

*tackles* A human character! Yes! And degrading Pokemon intelligence... >:D Very evil indeed. Accepted. Kali and Chaon said they would be joining, so I'll give them today for that. And then we shall start~

Just... watch the anime and see how they do it. xD

But really, just imagine the games without the turn-based system...

Or something like that, I'm finding it hard to put into words other than 'just roleplay it out'...

Why would you have to watch the anime? I don't, and I know how. It's just what Storm says. Pokemon battling (or really, any sort of fight) without the turns and numbers. Well, there kind of are turns, in that you make an attack, and then the person controlling the defending Pokemon determines the outcome of the attack and makes their attack in the same post, etc..

Alright - because I'm dense, I totally forgot just how short my time was until vacation. x_x I'm leaving very early on Friday, and we have no computer after an eighteen hour train ride, so I'm putting this on halt until I get back. x3 If other people apply, I'll accept them when I come back, and start the RP thread then. Sorry guys.

Yes! Inspiration! Unfortunately it's for a digger, not a remnant that you need - but she's human.

Name: Nicole (Cole for short)
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Age: 17
Description: Cole's hair is so dark that it looks black, and her eyes are dark-chocolate brown. Usually her hair is in pigtails, out of the way with her bangs held up by orange clips. She is of avarage height and build, and isn't noticably more attractive than any other girl. She wears an orange and white striped top, a brown jacket in cold weather, chestnut brown yoga pants and white runners/sneakers. Cole always, always wears her Poketch on her right arm, being left-handed, and a large collection of eight or so ponytail elastics on her left wrist.

Personality: Cole likes Pokemon in general, although she finds dark types to be creepy and malevolent-looking. She is a morning person and loves the sun, but loves to learn and so will go into caves and dark places if they promise knowledge. She is almost always cheerful. Cole likes to brighten the spirits of people and Pokemon around her, but has a very strong sense of wrong and right, and if someone does something that sue considers wrong she is biased to dislike them. She often talks very loudly, and always has something to say as long as she is following the conversation.

Bio: One of two daughters of the owners of a large, influential business in Kanto, Cole often had everything she wanted, but liked to do many things the normal way; going camping in a proper tent, learning to drive a car she bought with her own money, etcetera. When the war broke out, she thought it quite silly because she liked Pokemon, and although she thought it was a little odd to have Pokemon fight for you, she felt that it wasn't the trainers' or Pokemon's fault for following an age-old tradition that challenged them and made them smarter. Opposing her mother, she left at the end of the war to help pick up the pieces of trainers and Pokemon and try to understand why they had loved doinv friendly battle. While traveling Johto, she went to the Ruins of Alph to look around and decided that she wanted to help the dig that she found was happening.
