You can try GIMP. I think it works on Macs....

I don't know where but you could just use Transparent spriets and just save it as untransparent? I suck at this stuff.

It's hard to explain, but the program I'm using is stupid and I need un-transparasized sprites for the Pokemon that have a black outline, like Lanturn.

Macs can get Paint, I've seen people download it on YouTube.
