"Yay!" Patrick cheered randomly. "We're going towards the la-ake... We're going towards the la-ake..." However, he was actually excited, because he noticed who the two suspected familiar people were: One was Giovanni's daughter, and another was another Rocket on the same mission.

"Ok, Heat, as soon as the barrier drops use Sunny Day."
"Freeze, Wash, drop the barrier."
The combined Reflect and Light Screen holding up the mud wall vanished, and Heat began to clear the clouds. Soon, the sun shone bright in a cloudless sky.

"Well now. We can carry on, I suppose?" Patrick said. "Sorry Haps. This is going to be kind of hot, and you won't really like it here." Patrick returned Haps. "Alright Swampy. You ready for leg two?"

[Never mind...] Cat let out only Ninetales who was excited about being out for a whole trip because Pokeballs must be boring. Ninetales used Sunny Day and the sun got even brighter. 'Just great' Cat said 'this is going to be one hot trip. Goldenflame felt sorry and tried to absorb the sun but the now burning sun was too much for her to handle, even if it healed her. They had to make do with what they had. 'Time to head out to the dessert everyone' Cat shouted to the others who were resting. They walked along, their Pokemon walking behind them.

I'll lose at this rate!
Due to the sun, she could see the end of the forest. Withdrawing Onestar, she sprinted to the edge, stopping to catch her breath. "Glad that's... over." She looked out, seeing the miles of waving sand ahead of her. "This will be tough, but Flamefoot can use Surf if I need some water. If only Brine were fresh water.... maybe Rain Dance would last if Stonefrost used it..." she worked out a strategy as she began to walk along the flat, barren land.

"Mysti. Something tells me that the Rocket boy over there knows who you are now. I don't know why, I just sense it." Purification said to Mysti, but all everyone else heard was, "Sui,Suicune,cune suii!Suicune cune suii!"((Or however a Suicune sounds, I've never heard one. And remember, Mysti can talk to Pokemon, and understand them!)) Mysti decided to avoid him, and stay as far away as possible while staying with the group.

Aria sent out Flamefoot, who traveled with her along the broken rocks. His sure-footedness and high stamina allowed him to help Aria keep going. "I wonder who will win..." Aria said to herself.

Ohayou called back his pokemon, leaving Wash, Cut, Spin, and Heat out. Begining to walk towards the mountains in the distance, he called,
"If you don't hurry up, I'll leave you behind!."

Eric looked around, and soon spotted some mountains... And something more

"Erm, WHY is the sky over the mountains there purple?" Eric asked, worriedly. This Pokemon can change the colour of the sky? Great... This is going to be tough... Eric thought to himself

"Heheh... Sunny Day, huh? Let's see how they like it REALLY hot..."

Meanwhile, the sun was starting to get out of control, the heat beating down intensely

"Ok, who is overusing Sunny day?" Eric asked, sweating profusely

She let a dry cough.

"Water?" she said hopefully.

Snag the Pokemon and run...snag and run.

Patrick was trekking along, sweating a lot. Swampy seemed to be cooling himself off every once in a while with a Water Gun spray. Swampy turned towards Patrick, and sprayed him a bit. "Thanks Swampy. Anyone else need a spray?" he asked.

Eric sighed. "I am actually looking FORWARD the the harsh sandstorms of the desert..."

'No, thanks I've got Lapras' Cat answered to Patrick. Cat ordered Seasurfer to use Rain Dance and soon the sun was less hot but no sign of rain appeared as it was just too hot for it. Cat, refreshed by Lapras's Water Gun kept walking along slowly.

Swampy sprayed a bit of water at Skye. "Nice job, Swampy!" Patrick said. "This is brutally hot. How long until the next biome?"

"I don't know, but Purification here knows Rain Dance, hint hint!" said Mysti with a giggle.

'The water is really refreshing isn't it?' Cat said asking Seasurfer to spray her with another Water Gun. Cat shook the water out of her long, straight black hair. Cat's hair was hotter than the rest of her body because it was black and black attracts heat. At times like this Cat wanted Blond hair, but in the winter she loved her hair for being warmer. Cat suddenly saw the shadow of a Pokemon appear and then leave. Cat looked around and saw behind her a wild Sandshrew. 'Lapras, Hydro Pump' Cat yelled while the Sandshrew tried to claw Lapras. Lapras shot a jet of cold water at it and being effective the Sandshrew was weakened. However the slash still hit Lapras, but luckily for Lapras it hit her shell, which was very hard and blocked the would be critical hit. Suddenly more Sandshrew appeared out the sand attacking Elegant, Delicate, Goldenflame and Seasurfer. Suddenly Sandslash appeared as well. However strong Cat's Pokemon were, she couldn't handle them all. 'Help' Cat called to the others. 'I'm being attacked by Sandshrew and Sandslash'

"Odd, since Sandshrew and Sandslash aren't native here. The Sandslash must be a girl and belonged to a trainer who died here, then bred with the wild Pokemon," Eric guessed before looking at Aljrlieguh. "Surf"

She attempted to, but the sun was WAY too hot, and the water evaporated. "...Guess it is getting even hotter, despite that Rain Dance... Fine then, Ice Beam!"

Yet again, failure. Eric slapped his head. "Pikachu, Quick Attack!"

She slammed into the Sandslash, pissing it off
