Closed [FINISHED] The Pokemon of the Lake

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

"Ok! Now, mass Charge!" Ohayou commanded, his Rotom combining all 5 of their Charge attacks.

After it was finished, and Brick Break had been used on the barriers, he commanded Wash to use Rain Dance, and the rest to hold his charge until it was done.

As raindrops fell, Wash resumed charging and a moment later Ohayou nodded.

"Now, Thunder..." he said quietly, his pokemom summoning a massive bolt of lightning from the sky, which rocketed towards the Lake Pokemon.

Come on... hit... He thought, shivering with anticipation.

(((Let's see... ([120*(2*5)]*2)*2=4800)))
(((Holy shit... that's strong *didn't think of this until after typage*)))

[How does that work? Dragon/Water type means normal damage O.o Well, either way, even with insane special defense, that has GOT to be fatal]

It began to sink down in the Lake, apparently fainted

Eric frowned. "Why do I feel like if that Pokemon has another trick up its sleeve?" He said to the others as he approached the lake side. He watched a glow come from the bottom. "...Guys, I think it used Wish before we came..."

The Pokemon burst from under the water, the wish healing it just as the Heal Block faded. It opened its eyes and used Recover first, then Psychic, flinging all of the Pokemon aside, along with their trainers. It began to change form, the ribbons turning into sharp, flexible blades. The blue body began to turn blood red, and the skin was revealed to be scales as they turned upwards, becoming razor sharp. The head stretched out and grew to a point

"...It has an alternate form? Well, I hope to Arceus that it can't use revival moves in this form..." Eric sighed

The Pokemon roared fiercely. "YOU SHALL NOT WIN! I AM A GOD! I AM ONE OF FEW! NONE WILL DEFEAT ME, FOR I AM LAKINAY, THE LAKE POKEMON AND GODDESS OF THIS REGION!" The gender and name finally revealed, she charged up a powerful Hyper Beam and fired. Due to her anger and frenzy, however, she missed, leading to her having to recharge

"Now's our chance! She can't defend herself while recharging! Quick, if we attack now and finish off with a Heal Block and Status Condition, then one of us can catch this thing! Ribbon, Draco Meteor! Pikachu, mimic Ribbon and then use Draco Meteor! Aljrlieguh, Dragon Pulse!" Eric shouted out. Soon, meteors appeared in the sky and began to strike the Lake Pokemon full force. A pulse of dragon energy hit her in the head, doing damage as well

(((((Alright, lets say no attacks have a critical hit. Assuming Lakinay's base Special Defense and Defense are both 100 in this form, can somebody calculate the damage total of my attack for me (assume all IV's are 31, just to make it easier)? I want to see how heavy the damage is ^^ Oh, by the way, I am NOT using the catch rate formula for this. It would take a LONG time to calculate the damage at each step, due to all the variables, and then the formula for EACH time the Ultra Ball is thrown...

So yeah. I am going to calculate it just by having random numbers given to each ball thrown, and then multiply it by roughly how much HP the Pokemon has left (I will just split the bar into tenths), and then divide it by the status condition it has at the time, and if it is below a certain number, then that person catches it. Also, the rp won't end as the Pokemon is caught, as then there is the issue of, erm, the fact that the person has a fucking goddess with them now. Oh, and yes, there will be a sequel ^^ Curious though, does everybody want the sequel as a follow up to this rp, or as trainers going after a new Pokemon? If the latter, should the trainer that manages to keep Lakinay be able to use it in the next rp, or should it just be considered a fresh start?)))))

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

Flamefoot immediately fell, creating a huge thud!.
"At least I'm not affected by Psychic," Moonshadow boasted.
"Flamefoot, return," Aria lamented. She then cried, "Deadcloud, go!"
Deadcloud hummed eerily.
"Moonshadow, Moonlight, then Faint Attack! Deadcloud, Magical Leaf!"
A moon shone above the battlefield, but faded as soon as the allies had their HP restored. Then Moonshadow became ghostly, and slammed into Lakinay.
Finally, Deadcloud summoned a group of leaves that raked the Lake Pokémon.

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

(We should have a whole series of new Pokemon discoveries :D Next we find a volcano goddess, mmkay?)

Shimmer smirked inside.
The time is right.
And with that thought in mind, she used her Mind Reader to hurl her final attack.
A Sheer Cold.

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

(We should have a whole series of new Pokemon discoveries :D Next we find a volcano goddess, mmkay?)

(D: YOU READ MY MIND! GET OUT OF THERE!

No, seriously, that was what I was thinking of doing next. Only difference would be a god instead of a goddess. Also, in the case of the knock-out, the multiplication will be by 0.5 instead of 1 through 10. Also, the formula is r(h)(s), where r is random number from 1 to 100, h is health remaining (0.5 in the case of no health left), and s is status condition. The formula for me will be r(h)(s)2, just to make it a bit more fair for you guys)

Lakinay's eyes went wide as the cold enveloped her body. She fell into the lake, creating a huge splash. She laid there, fainted. Soon, Skye's Ultra Ball came in contact, and splashed into the lake, floating there. The Pokemon was sucked inside. The ball didn't even shake, however, as the ball blasted open, shards flying all over. Lakinay wiggled a bit. She may have been fainted, but she still, amazingly, had the strength left to struggle out of an Ultra Ball. It was down to luck now

Eric then threw his Ultra Ball. It shook once, then twice, then exploded as well

(Damnit! I got 13 as my random number for my first ball! XD The final number needs to be 10 or less to count as a capture)

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

The ball made contact and sucked the Pokemon in. It wiggled once before shattering as well

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

(How many Ultra Balls do we have, anyway?

Oh, and if Flareth's fails, I throw the next one.)

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

"Onestar, Thunder Wave," Aria sent out her Kadabra, who transferred psychic energy into electricity and paralyzed the Lake Pokémon.
Shortly after, Aria threw an Ultra Ball (if Flareth's fails).

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

Skye's second ball sucked in the Pokemon and began to shake. It shook once, twice, three times... And sealed shut. The Pokemon was caught, much to everyone else dismay

(Fuck you. You got 2, which resulted in a result of 1! Oh well. A Rocket having it, with all these other Powerful Pokemon nearby to steal should be interesting...)

EDIT: Erm... Fainted kind of overrides other status conditions O.o

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

Skye's eye grew wide with delight. She grinned an evil grin and grabbed the ball.

She tore off the sweater she was wearing, revealing her uniform.

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

((((120 damage is thunder's base *2 for the charge *5 for the # of rotom and *2 for rain. Types are canceled out.)))

"Hmm... That's not fun at all!" Ohayou got an evil smile.
"Eric, Skye is a Rocket, which I dislike," He said, seeming like he had lost his sanity (which I doubt was there in the first place), "My team has too many double team copies and substitutes, and your team isn't very weakened. Want to help me try to take them down? We can't let an evil organization have this power..." His pupils dialated, and his grin widened even more.

The Rotom dolls began doing another mass charge...

(((Hooray for losing sanity!!!)))

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

((YAY! ROCKET POWER! Sorry I couldn't post. Was out bowling. I'm all for a sequel, BTW. I suggest it takes place like a few years into the future, so we can have different Pokemon and evolutions and such if wanted.))
"HEY!" Patrick said. "Don't attack my fellow Rocket! Swampy, Mudslap as many times as possible! Aero, Luster Purge! Squish, use a Dig!" Patrick pulled out a walkie-talkie. "Patrick to base: Mission accomplished. Get the copter over! Anyways, need a ride Skye and Mysti?"

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

"Nope. I've got Steel Wing!" she said, calling out her Charizard and hopping on it. "See 'ya at the base! With most likely a very happy Giovanni for the finding of his daughter and the Lake Pokemon!" she said, taking off.

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

Aria stayed fainted, but was able to speak with Onestar telepathically.
Onestar told her "They can't get away with this! What do I do when the copter comes?"
"Use Shock Wave on it," Aria told him.

Re: The Pokemon of the Lake

"Yes, I need a ride." Skye muttered.

She let out Noxio.

"Use smokescreen." she cried.

The Weezing puffed out a whole bunch of black mist. Skye quickly recalled him.
