1.) no I won't complain, these are just statements,
2.) It is the "unofficial greeting of TCoD, not a monotone, it's just, (in real life), when I read, I read in a monotonous voice, so, I'm putting it in a way that I would if I had read it in real life... here it is:

*reading a card in monotoned voice* Hello, [insert new person's name here], and welcome to the CoD. The only place to eat/drink Tea/CoD (get it? T+CoD = TCoD) Haha
