• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Hello!

I can never think of something good to title my threads.

Hi everyone, I go by the name of Camisado in most places on the internet. I also tend to write really long introductory posts on forums in order to make some kind of impression xD

I frequent PokéCommunity, PE2K and Firefly BBS, and I joined here because I'm always looking for a fresh opinion on my thoughts and work. I also love meeting new people, both from my own country or anywhere across the world. I find differences in language and culture quite fascinating.

I work as a modern apprentice in IT Services for my county's local government building, and I love it - at the moment I'm on the "deskside" team which means I go out and fix computers that the helpdesk can't remotely, but I'll be moving around teams in the course of the next few years.

Speaking of computers, I also enjoy designing web pages and web graphics. Here at home my tools of the trade are my MacBook, iMac G5 and a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet. I like to draw when I have the time, and I run two webcomics.

I live in the south of England on the Jurassic Coast - you should look it up. It's a World Heritage Site and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. I love it here and I never, ever want to move out! My county's special, beautiful environment is the reason I loved geology at school and would have considered it as a career if the apprenticeship hadn't come up.

On the Pokémon front, I have been a gamer since the GSC series. I even found my Crystal cartridge with a working battery a few weeks ago and I've been playing through it again. I've completed that, Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Pearl, and I'm on my way through Diamond. I'm not an expert on IVs and natures and breeding - I just really love playing!

Johto has always been my favourite region and generation, and my favourite Pokémon is Chikorita. I'm starting to collect merchandise of the Johto starters and Pichu.

Finally, I love to write fiction. I used to think my work was inadequate because I'm such a perfectionist, but a friend encouraged me to get it out there. I decided to, because if I don't expose it to people for help, I'm never going to get anywhere. I don't start crying or shouting when you [constructively] criticise my work, don't worry!

I hope this has been an interesting introduction, and I hope to get to know some of you well. I'll mainly be loitering in the writing forums, contributing my work and trying to help out others.

Thanks for your time!

Hi there, Camisado; it's nice to meet you. We have something in common in that we both find languages and culture fascinating - I'm studying languages at AS level currently, and hoping to get a job in languages in the future.

I must admit, I'd never heard of Firefly BBS before reading your post. That's given me a place to have a look around. x3 Ehe, I like looking at forums.

Wow, an IT person, huh? Your job - or apprenticeship - sounds really interesting if you're into that kind of thing. And I'd be interested to see your webcomics. :3 As well as your drawing and writing, though I don't often browse the writing forum here and only usually read things I specifically search for in places like fanfiction.net. But yeah, seriously, I'd be interested to see them!

Heh, I had to look up the Jurassic Coast; as far as I know, I hadn't heard the term before. You've caused me to learn something. :D

Ah, Gold, Silver and Crystal are wonderful games, yeah. Well, I don't know about Crystal - I've never played it - but Gold and Silver are. Shame my versions have stopped working, but I had some great fun playing them. I loved Johto. It's such a pretty region, and I love exploring.

Your introduction was really interesting. I hope you have a really nice time here. Welcome to the forums.

It's nice to welcome new members who post more than a sentence.

Anyway, I'm Kai. You'll mainly see me around the Artwork forum and it's sub-forums, or RPing. Welcome to TCoD!

Welcome to TCoD! ^^ Camisado is a pretty name. I look forward to you posting your comics and things in the artwork forum. I love Chikorita. It's so cute. :3

Awesome introduction, by the way.
