Welcome back Tropiking! Took you long enough, the WSC has been hurting without you directing. Try to revive it soon, it was fun! And nice sprites you got there. I think I've seen Levitor before though...

...Vocerix and Raptark look awesome! I like the Idea of a Bull secreting lava. Though, I'm guessing Raptark is a normal type? He's still pretty awesome... wait, I think I've seen him before as well.

The scratches look great, especially nidoking, but looks like you should've went larger than 80x80, cuz the sprites look as though they have more potential being bigger.

Yea, Grizire's second attempt came out much better than its first. =) And yea some of these sprites are older and I'm in the process of revamping them. Raptark's line is dark and it's one of my favs. =)

Welcome back!

I hope you don't mind that I took the WSC reins for a while. The number of on-time entries kind of fizzled out at week 18 and I was busy with things around that time too... Maybe you can breathe some life back into it? :3

As for the sprites here, I'm a big fan of Forrantoss. The shading of the leafy mane is impressive!
 
I'm not the only one who thinks we need an Anklysaurus pokemon?! I love you. Grizire is awesome. Like a Typhlosion-Ursaring cross. Sexy. So is the Nidoking scratch. :D

...but how exactly is "Grizire" pronounced?
 
Yea, Alraunne thanks for that. You rock for keeping the WSC alive. =) I can't wait for this summer when I have the time to bring it back.

Thanks for the compliments. =D It's pronounced GRIH-ZIRE. Kind of like a mixture of grizzly bear and fire. Hopefully I can get some new scratches up soon.

Some crit for yah:

*His arms look a little thin. I know Charizard's arms aren't that big, but these arms could be beefed up by like a pixel or so.
*Left leg looks like a sausage. Most pokemon sprites that have the leg at that angle show the knee bent and then a bit of foot underneath, but here there's no transition from knee to foot...just a sausage with toes.
*Is it just me, or is Charizard a little...tall? I think the neck and/or the body could be shortened some.
*This is just me being nitpicky, but his eye doesn't seem to match the mood of the rest of the sprite. He appears to be rather feral looking...but the eye makes him look a little tired or something. I'm not sure on how this could be fixed though, maybe adjust the angle it is tilted at some?

Anyways, overall it is a good scratch sprite, but there are some issues with it.

I thickened the left arm up a little but it didn't seem that skinny to me. I totally agree with the leg. I looked at it and I was like, wow how did I miss that? I fixed it as best I could. It's just hard trying to squeeze it in 80 by 80. Also I fixed the eye up a little. Not to mention I revamped the shading to make it look more like the official sprite.

Amazing. Simply amazing. You certainly aren't afraid to use and overuse shading and outline shading. :D So good job there.

Both the Nidoking and Rhydon scratches seem a little portly. Also, it appears that Nidoking's legs come up too far on his body, only enhancing that aforementioned portly comment.

Other than those two little things, the sprites are really very good. You've got great talent as a spriter. Keep up the good work!

I actually am pleased with how the redesigned Charizard came out seing how I literally threw it together in like less than an hour. =)

I call it Glarampeidon, a mixture of Glalie, Rampardos, Walrein, and Groudon. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Oh also I did another water line. I'm thinking I might replace the Sotter line with this one as the water starters. Tell me what you think.

I like the otters better, if only because otters are cute and cuddly >: The otter line looks better, too, anyway. The surfing shark guy is pretty funny, though.

I can't decide which is better the old or the new. If it's the old I want to just reshade it instead of making a new worse sprite.
 
I think the newer is better than the old. I like that it's slimmer and that you can see more of it's tail. It'll also be easier to shade and will look better wen you're done, imo.
It still needs some small tweaks, though. You should try making the tail a few pixels wider and then gradually smaller, and the leg furthest away from us could also widen a little bit. I'm also not sure if you mean this pokemon to be a bulky or slim pokemon. If it's supposed to be slim, I suggest making the closest arm a little smaller and thinner.

I would comment more, but this is just a WIP, so I'll wait till you're done with it. :)
