• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Why not?

Mafia:

Yahoo - Tired of being outshone by Google, Yahoo has decided to take matters into its own pages and has started an attempt to eliminate all other major websites. Each night, Yahoo may select a victim to destroy.

Bing - Next in line, behind Yahoo. Will take over as the Mafia Don if Yahoo is killed.

Baidu - Baidu is also sick of being outshone by Google. However, because of Baidu's location issues, Baidu does not know who Yahoo and Bing are, and vice versa. At any time (night or day) during the game, Baidu is allowed to destroy any other website, but also destroys itself in the process.

Innocents:

Google - The king of search engines, Google may use its massive storehouses of information to, once per night, dig up information on any other website and its alignment.

Facebook - Every night, Facebook may post information of another website, preserving that website's security in the process. However, if Facebook's target is the same as Twitter's, the target is destroyed.

Twitter - Every night, Twitter may tweet information of another website, preserving that website's security in the process. However, if Twitter's target is the same as Facebook's, the target is destroyed.

YouTube - On the first night, YouTube chooses a website to attract with a video. This website and YouTube will then discover who the other is. If one is destroyed, so is the other.

DeviantART - Each night, DeviantART may display an art piece to distract any website of its choice and so prevent that website from using its night action.

AOL - Despite being another search engine, AOL has decided to side with Google. Every odd-numbered night, AOL may select a website to destroy.

Standard Townies (1-3)

Variable Alignment:

Tumblr – On the first night, Tumblr chooses an alignment and a version. If Tumblr elects to side with the Mafia, then Tumblr will be informed who are the Mafia members. The versions to choose from are as follows:

Doctor Who!Tumblr – Once during the game (night phase only), Doctor Who!Tumblr may use its time powers to end the night early. All night actions not sent in at this point will not be performed, and the day phase starts right then.

Supernatural!Tumblr – Each night, Supernatural!Tumblr may use its otherworldly powers to disable communication from any website. That website may not speak during the next day.

Avengers!Tumblr – In this form, Tumblr gains a superpower: that of forming a clone of itself. All night actions targeted at Avengers!Tumblr only have a 50% chance of working, as there is a chance that the night action may hit the clone instead.

Alien:

4chan – As they say, “don’t feed the trolls”. As long as 4chan is untouched, it poses no threat to other websites. However, if an attempt is made to destroy 4chan and 4chan is voted to be destroyed in the day phase, 4chan will snap and destroy every other website, leaving behind mass destruction and resulting in an alien win.

-48 hour phases. Extensions might be given if deemed necessary.
-12 to 14 players.
-Maximum of three abstains in this game.
-Out-of-thread communication is NOT allowed.
