Journal for Platinum

Entry 7

Date: March 31st, 2009

Sorry about waiting SO long to write! Where to begin?

Well, I kicked Byron's butt after training my Pokemon. I also helped a little girl named Mira and a guy named Riley. I went to the library and felt an earthquake. It was an explosion caused by Team Galactic. I rushed to Lake Valour and kicked Saturn's ass. I then rushed back to Verity and kicked Mars' ass (isn't she the bitch from the Wind Works?)

I am now at Snowpoint. Sorry for the rushed entry, but I need to get back to training so that I can beat Candice (heh. CandICE) and go help Douglas!

Also, I evolved my Roselia. May not have been a good idea, since he can't learn Grasswhistle now, but meh

Until next time,

Eric

Alxprit's Adventures outside of the Battle Zone Island
April 1st, 2009

The first thing I did was check the trees I slathered with honey. No female Combee yet...

After some convincing, and after showing Michael the print I earned with his team, he let me borrow his Sceptile. It's at level 100 and knows False Swipe, so I could use it to catch hundreds of Pokemon. So, for the first time in a while, I left the Battle Zone for more than an hour.

I progressed along each route, catching whatever I could because Oak practically haunted me in my sleep, saying "finish the National Dex, finish the National Dex" all the time. First I needed to catch everything in the Sinnoh Dex, and then I could move to bigger and better things.
I added to my team virtually everything that could be caught in Sinnoh today. It was quite a workout, and cost me a bundle of money, but I say it was all worth it. The con was that I still didn't get a Quirky natured pokemon for the guy up the hill at Sunyshore.

I thought back to the time I visited Fullmoon Island for that sailor guy in Canalave. Was that Pokémon there... Cresselia, I think? Yup, that's what it says in my Pokédex. It's an interesting creature. So pure, so pink... and its wing cured that little boy of a perpetual nightmare.
Geez, I don't want to be trapped in my sleep. That's worse than dying, because I'd be tortured without end even IF I did good things on our planet. Like the Rangers around the Battle Zone say, help our planet. I'm not as radical as Team Galactic, though.

I got a Gracidea flower from a girl in Floraoma Town. I wondered what this Shaymin was for, it kinda just appeared in my box... personally, I don't care for it much, since it's banned from the Frontier. That sucks.

While I'm thinking of memories, there was that time I went to Stark Mountain with Buck to chase Charon and the rest of Team Galactic (all three members of it). Mars and Jupiter went off to try and find Cyrus in the Distortion World. Good luck, you two, that place is a disaster waiting to happen. I don't even know WHY I decided to catch Giratina.

Anyway, me and Buck teamed up (well, I did all the work while he healed me after every battle) and made it to the far end of the mountain, where Looker, that crazy officer of the so-called International Police was staking out as a Rock Smashable rock. He arrested Charon, and the other two grunts ran away.
Looker's looking in the wrong place, Saturn's just standing around at the Veilstone HQ! Charon's the worst commander of Galactic, I don't even know if he had any Pokémon to speak of!

Speaking of Charon, I remembered when I battled Saturn at the Veilstone HQ to rescue Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. I led with Rotom, and when Charon saw Rotom, he looked suprised for some reason. He also shuddered when I fought with Rotom at Stark Mountain. Is there some sort of connection?
I mean, Rotom was at the abandonded Old Chateau. Nobody lived there for a while. Then again, Charon's pretty old.

While exploring the Eterna Galactic Building (now abandoned) I found an odd hole in the wall that seemed to fit Rotom's shape. I did try shoving Rotom into the hole, but he was too big (that's saying something). Perhaps a special kind of key fits there, but who would hide something in here?

I think this is getting too off topic. I'll end on a happy note; I managed to dominate at the Battle Factory! 7-win streak, and there was never more than one pokemon fainted. I do good here... perhaps my second print lies in here.
Michael's team deserves a break, anyhow. Time to relax at my villa.

Entry 1
Days: April 1st through 3rd.
I'm actually a trainer! I love water types(OOC: water mono platinum), so I got a Piplup as my 1st pokemon. Then I caught a Bidoof because they evolve into a part water type pokemon. Over these two days I beat my really hyper best friend Klavier (OOC:anybody who gets the reference gets a ticket to Trucy's magic show *hint*) and got my very 1st badge! My Piplup evolved into a Prinplup. He's a lot bigger now! Oh, man, The proffesor guy... Rowan, I think? Well, he's the guy who gave me and Klavier our 1st pokemon. But then he gave us this assignment to document All the Pokemon in Sinnoh... I've only seen 12! Well I've been training my bidoof for a while and I hope he evolves soon!
Myeh... I'm no good at writing. Oh, well, until next time:

Entry 3 (April 3, 2009)

Sorry for not writing. AGAIN. This life is so fun it always slips my mind like a Barboach!

Since I've last wrote, I've made Thorn a contest Pokémon instead of a battling one. He's sitting in my PC right now, but I'll try to give him a bit of attention sometime soon. If you're wondering why he's not in my team anymore, I'll give you this:

A few days ago I captured a Gible from Wayward Cave. After what the foreigners know the Pokémon as, I named him Fukamaru. When I caught him, he didn't have the best move experience, but I helped him to master Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush, Slash and Dig. Those are the four moves he uses, although occasionally he could learn some more. I'm thinking about teaching him Rock Climb, since he evolved into Gabite about two days after he was added to my team.

All of my Pokémon are at their highest evolutionary form now, except for Fukamaru who still has five levels to go.

Since I last wrote, I was faced with a few challenges. The first was when the Psyduck north of Solaceon were blocking my way. I couldn't move on, so I turned east to go to Veilstone City. After a troubling battle involving Electric- and Water-types with two Ace Trainers, I made it to the large rock city and healed my Pokémon in the Center near that towering department store. I haven't been there yet, but I might as well try to enter and see what's in there.

The second was when the one known as Cynthia told me to deliver something to Celestic Town. I had to use my map most of the time since I wasn't good at navigating. Needless to say, there was a lot of fog blocking my view, but nevertheless I managed to endure the trainers and make it to the town... only to find some Galactic goon trying to bomb the entire place off the map. I swiftly eradicated his team, and he fled the place. Since he was standing in front of a cave entrance, I went inside to explore a strange cave painting at the back.

And that was when Cyrus came along.

It was a tough fight, but my Pokémon managed to beat his and I hightailed it to the west to level up my team a bit against the wild Pokémon before heading south of Veilstone to Pastoria. I almost forgot to deliver the Old Charm to the town elder, but I managed. And then I made Kibabat Fly me to Veilstone to cut the road a bit.

And it gets kinda boring from there, other than beating Crasher Wake (Pastoria's gym leader) and Byron (Canalave's gym leader). Except for the part where Lake Valor was bombed and I sweeped the blue-haired Galactic commander. And... then I basically made it to Snowpoint, and here I am, training my team to beat Candice.

Hope to see you soon with my seventh Gym badge!

Alxprit's Adventures all over the planet
April 3rd, 2009

I think I went a little overboard.

After catching everything I could with Michael's Sceptile, I decided to do some extra training. I moved from city to city, VS Seeker always handy, fighting everybody I could. I even found that some trainers had become not-as-pathetic. In the end, Infernape and Rotom finally made it to Level 100 thanks to some Pokémon Rangers.

Needless to say, I sweeped the Battleground as well. I saw Marley the other day. She was so useless as a partner, but not bad against me.
I think she needs a lesson in optimisim. Always talking so quietly! All she can manage when she loses is a simple "Aww...".

I tackled the Battle Factory, and got a 7-win streak with little consequence. They gave me 5 Battle Points at the end... I thought it was overkill. The place is a piece of cake!
But perhaps I'll change my mind the next time I head over there. Everything gets harder as it moves on.

For two days in a row, Byron was waiting outside my villa waiting for a tour. Everybody else just walks in, why can't you? Also, the oddest thing, but I think Byron was also at the Battleground one of those days. Bilocation? It can't be, can it?

STILL no female Combee are coming off the tree near Celestic Town. There have to be SOME out there, right? I caught one male, though, because some kid at Pastoria wanted one of each gender. I guess before I evolve my female I'll show them to him.

I forgot to plant berries. I really should use the soil that comes with the villa. Plants make everything better. Plus, I'm going to rub it in Michael's face when I have 600 Sitrus Berries and he doesn't.

There's only one Gym Leader that has never showed up at the Battleground, and that's Gardenia. She's just hanging out in her gym, being all happy and stationary. How can you live just waiting for challengers to come to you? I guess that's one of the reasons I didn't go and replace Cynthia's position as stationary Champion.

Speaking of the Champion, I oughta go and fight the Elite Four again. Why?
Well...
I don't know. I feel like it! There's no REASON for me to do any of this stuff, but I do it anyway! STOP JUDGING ME!!
...

Mine: Infernape at Level 100
Rotom at Level 100

Michael's: Sceptile at Level 100

HM Slaves: Norton's Chatot at level 12
Bibarel at level 15
Psyduck at level 10

ADDENDUM: April 4th-5th

Okay, I'm really peeved right now, but I'm going to save that for last. One thing that does make me happy is that another friend of mine, Andrea, lent me her Ditto so that I could get a female Combee faster! And in two eggs, there it was, cute as ever. I got my Macho Brace shortly after.

Since I was at a loss of what to do next, I decided to explore the Underground. Lots of stuff there, a lot of it. Plenty of fossils, shards, and of course spheres. I'm getting way too many Red Spheres, ugh. I had to toss a lot of them, to make room for the vaulable Pale and Prism Spheres. I say, though, my treasure trove is quite large. No goods yet, but I"m waiting until my spheres grow a lot. Like, A LOT.

I was stoked for the Battle Factory, I had a 14-win streak going on (they give way too many BP for one streak) and was eager for my next brain! Nothing could beat me! Even better, I had the opportunity to pick a Rotom for my team, so yay!

I made it through 6 battles with little consequence. Then the green guy said that the Brain was demanding a battle with me. "Sure", I said. I was a winner. Nothing would stop me.
The guy's name is Thorton. He has a funky black and green hair style and keeps an invention of his always on his belt. It looks a lot like a simple Vs. Recorder, but he figured out my team with it. He seemed happy to fight me.
I sent out Rotom, he sent out Abombasnow. That alone sealed my fate. I was able to down the snowy monster after some tough managing, but then he sent out a Pinsir. The Pinsir SINGLEHANDEDLY destroyed my entire team! Ivysaur almost survived, but the hailstorm from Abombasnow finished the job! That thing was wicked fast, and nothing could stop it...

Thorton dismissed me afterwards, so calmly, like he knew I was going to lose. The NERVE of that guy! I want to see his real team, not some stupid rentals! I'll kick their sorry asses so freakin' hard...

Then I remembered my losses at the Hall and Arcade. I wonder why I wasn't angry at those trainers. Wait, I imagined that they'd lose to the Brain. But this guy was the brain, he doesn't lose to just anybody.
I returned to the Hall to vent, but I was kicked out even faster than before with Infernape losing to a Slowking. I probably would have won if I didn't try Close Combat...

Nothing's going right at the moment. I need to fight somebody important and win. Maybe I'll beat up the Elite Four a third time.

Day One
Tuesday, April 7th

Today I became a trainer! I was watching a program on the TV in my room when Ogden came in to my room. That intruder. Anyway, he acted his usual crazy self and decided that we needed to go all the way to Sandgem Town in order to get our first Pokémon. I was uncomfortable walking through the tall grass, but luckily we didn’t have to! We were going to go see Professor Rowan, but he just happened to catch us right as Ogden was about to go into the grass. He “quizzed” us before giving us a Pokémon. I chose Turtwig and Ogden chose Chimchar. Rowan told us to come visit him some time. Like that’ll ever happen. Then Ogden challenged me to a battle. I won of course because I’m just awesome like that.
Ogden, unfortunately, does not have a large attention span. He led us to Lake Verity then remembered we needed Poke balls. Then once we got to Sandgem, he got distracted by something. (God knows what. Probably something shiny.)
I did in fact visit with Prof. Rowan a bit. He gave me a Pokedex and talked about how he wants minors to go out and see all the Pokémon in Sinnoh. But I’m okay with that since I don’t have to just sit at home all day.
Of course, I had to go and tell my mother that I was leaving home. She was cool with it and gave me this journal. I’m camping on Route 202 with my newly caught Pokémon, Crella the Kricketot and Spinx the Shinx in addition to Iden the Turtwig. The weather is nicer here than at back in Twinleaf. And least there’s not as much snow on the ground. Perhaps before I go off to sleep I’ll catch a Starly and a Bidoof.
Current team:
Iden (Turtwig) Lv. 8
Spinx (Shinx) Lv. 6
Crella (Kricketot) Lv. 3

Entry 8

Date: April 11th, 2009

Erm, did I say I waited long last time?

Sorry for ignoring this journal for so long this time, but I was busy. Alot has been happening. Where to begin?

Well, first off, I defeated Candice handily. Pyre took her out with ease. Unfortunately, I got rid of Mach Punch for Flame Wheel, so no help there. I think Pyre got frozen during that fight, but was thawed by Flame Wheel... Oh well. All that matters is that I beat her easily. After that, I rushed to Lake Acuity only to find that bitch Saturn there! She kicked Douglas' ass, and walked off before I could send out Pyre! >.< I wanted to throw her in the lake...

Douglas was upset, and he left. I wish I could have followed, but I had more important things to do. I had to get to Veilstone to stop Team Galactic. I rushed in there, only to find that I needed a key to get anywhere. Looker came to the rescue (from what I could gather, he mugged a Galactic member and stole their warehouse key), and let me in. We split up.

I began to clear the place out so that Looker could get some information. I wiped out every single grunt I could find, and even found out the inscriptions of the missing plaques. Funny... I heard that there was a third plaque... Oh well. Anyways, here are the inscriptions:

"The creation of Dialga, the giver of time... In laughter, there is tears... And, likewise it is with time. The same time flows on. For it is the blessing of Dialga." and, "The birth of Palkia, the creator of parallel dimensions... Alive, yet not alive... Everything drifts in space... To arrive in the same universe. It is the blessing of Palkia."

I cleared the main areas of the HQ of all grunts, then caught up with Looker. There was something like fifty grunts all in one room! I was SO tempted to send out Pyre to Earthquake the lot, but considering that they could beat us by numbers, I passed. We watched Cyrus give a passionate speech about him making a world just for Team Galactic. Somehow, I severely doubted that, considering how incompetent most of them are. We waited for the grunts to clear out before moving on. I then took on Cyrus. It was a rough, but swift, battle.

He revealed that he wanted to become god by taming god Pokemon, then went off after giving me a Master Ball...

>.< And here I was, thinking he was smart. After all, couldn't I just, erm, go in and CAPTURE one of the gods and use it against the other?

I will add more later.

Until next time,

Eric

Alxprit's Adventures finally back to the Battle Zone Island
April 11, 2009

Things were getting boring. I managed to catch Cresselia with my Rotom's new Thunder Wave (better than Confuse Ray for me) and Michael's Sceptile's False Swipe. Man, I never realized how easy things are when you work at them vigorously.

Michael said his team could beat Palmer, and now that Infernape and Rotom were battle ready, I decided to prove that I was better than him, so I finally returned to the Frontier and climbed the Battle Tower. The battles were easy, up until I got to Palmer. He started yabbing about how I was cute as a child or something.

He sent out Milotic, I sent out Rotom. Milotic managed to beat Rotom with one Surf, which slightly disheartened me. I sent out Starmie next (okay, Starmie's just there because.) and thunderbolted Milotic away.

Next was Rhyperior. This would be easy, I thought. I used Surf and Rhyperior held on with it's focus band, and managed to OHKO Starmie with Earthquake. So I sent out Infernape, and tried to hit it, but the Focus Band worked AGAIN! That was CHEATING! SO I LOST TO PALMER!
SHUT UP!

I had to do something good today! I ran over to the Arcade, hoping that maybe a loss there would make me feel uncheated. I was suprised that I could control the board pretty well, and managed to actually make it to the brain, Dahlia.

She sent out Dusknoir, I sent out Rotom. Her pokemon had less HP than they should due to my roulette skills. So I shadowballed it, it survived, and Shadow Punched Rotom away. So I got out Starmie, surfed Dusknoir away, and her Medicham held on with a Focus Sash. This seemed awfully famililar...

The next part suprised me; she withdrew Medicham for her Ludicolo. It KOed Starmie, but not before I laid a dent in it. I sent out Infernape, and didn't take ANY chances. So I used Close Combat to KO Ludicolo, and Mach Punch to KO Medicham.
SO I WON AGAINST DAHLIA wait, why am I angry?

Another shiny print and another uploaded Battle Video were mine to behold. And I couldn't have done it without Rotom, I presume.

I decided to pay Professor Oak a visit. He's an old man, who's even older than Professor Rowan if you could believe that, and apparently the inventor of such things as the Pokédex and Trainer Counter Poketch app. I talked to him and he told me that three legendary pokemon of Kanto have been sighted flying around Sinnoh. I wanted to know more, so he talked more.

Apparently there was a great Trainer in Kanto who had also become Champion. He didn't become a statue like Cynthia, though, he traveled the world. And he was said to have actually captured the three winged mirages of Kanto, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres.

Three years later a new challenger arose from the neighboring Johto reigon, who managed to also beat the Elite Four, and Lance, some guy fighting in the Champion's stead. He went to Kanto and collected the badges of that reigon in addition to Johto badges, and Oak told me he himself gave the boy admission into Mt. Silver. Nobody had heard from the Champion since about a year ago, and the Professor thought he might eb up there. This new challenger was very strong, so he had the role of going and looking.

Look he did. And after a while, he even found. He found the Champion, and they both said nothing, letting their Pokemon do the talking. After a heated battle, the challenger actuallty ended up winning. The Champion dissapeared. People say they started seeing the winged mirages in the wild again.

So Oak said they might have migrated to Sinnoh because there were people capable of capturing them in Kanto. But why did the former Champion release them? "I am not worthy" junk?

I oughta come to Oak for more Kanto Johto stories more often. But after I heard that, my goal was to find those birds.

I did find them. I did for them what I did for Cresselia, and they were all captured in a couple of hours.

Those were my accomplishments for now. Oh, another statue appeared in my villa's order form. I have a feeling I get more for each print I get at the Frontier.

That's all for today. I hope I can rework my startegy and beat Palmer soon.
