Doctor Kaminko's Experimental Stadium, Arena #44
Any claims that Doctor Kaminko does not test his Pokémon-related inventions before revealing them to the public (a public that is obviously too simple to appreciate their sheer genius) are, of course, entirely false. In fact, the Doctor has a dedicated space beneath his secret laboratory for just this purpose--his experimental stadium. At first glance it appears to be a fairly plain arena, with the standard clay floor, small pool for water-types and a weather generator that will respond to any weather-inducing commands. A few button presses and switch flips, however, and the Doctor can produce anything from a plethora of his newest battle-based creations to make things more... interesting. Kaminko regularly invites trainers down to his facility to help him test his new experiments, assuring them that of course their Pokémon will be perfectly safe and that of course there will be ample compensation for their time. Most of the Orrean trainers know better than to take his claims at face value, but there's no reason for a few gullible eager outsiders not to trust him, right? Besides! Shiny new toys! Who could possibly resist!
The arena that Kaminko has chosen for today's battle, number forty-four out of sixty-three, is fairly simple as his bizarre challenges go. The battlefield itself does not change much when he activates it, forgoing #3's Poké-Poles™ falling from the ceiling and #61's small herd of Tauros sporting his Pokémon Mood-Altering Keclenses™ (currently stuck on angry red) for wide, open space. The battlers are going to need plenty of room and minimal distractions, after all--with all the energy they'll have to burn, they'd probably tear something down if they were in a smaller space. For today, all Pokémon involved will be wearing Kaminko's new Ever-Energy Adrenapacks™.
The Adrenapacks provide each Pokémon with literally unlimited energy, allowing them to attack with abandon and without fear of exhausting themselves. The experiment is intended to see what Pokémon are capable of doing when allowed to battle on and on without interruption, but perhaps the Adrenapacks give the Pokémon a little too much juice. They are prone to releasing extra surges of energy that can actually harm the Pokémon wearing them, causing 3% typeless damage to each Pokémon at the end of each round and escalating to 5%/round if their health is below 33%. Additionally, the constant influx of energy makes the battlers incredibly nervous and restless, preventing them from focusing on moves that rely on calming down or relaxing (i.e. calm mind, amnesia), being lulled into complacency (i.e. attract, flatter, charm) or falling asleep.

Munchy grins at her trainers' words - stupid-huge movepool indeed! - and basks in the sunlight she's created. Fake sunlight, sure, but it does the trick. The UV rays soak into her skin quickly, so quickly that it's only a few seconds before she's gathered enough to collect it into a ball of light in front of her. She eyes the nasty fish that hurt her before; no, she certainly had not forgotten the pain, oh no she hasn't, nasty stupid little fish... The light grows and grows until it explodes in a beam onto the poor relicanth, bathing it in pure light, but it's so painful; why is light so painful? Rock Lobsta wriggles and squeals in pain, much like her gyarados teammate had done before her. It takes way to long for the attack to fade, and it leaves a reminder of its presence: a black burn coats Lobsta's side where the beam had hit, making it painful, if only slightly, to move. Munchy grins. Revenge is sweet.
And it's not over yet. Yakuza flaps his wings, gathering thermals of heat that rise from the drying stadium floor, and heating them even further; the heat ripples under his black feathers and with a smirk and a flap of his wings, the heat ripples to life in a burning sheet of fire. Lobsta moans as the fire coats him but it's nothing compared to the pure fear in the Grouch's eyes; the metallic pokemon quickly grabs her berry and chews on it before the fire engulfs her. For reasons unknown, the Occa berry protects her somewhat from the heat, but not enough: the Grouch shivers in pain as her metallic armour shrivels and melts, her grassy parts doing much the same. The fire spreads to the arena walls, burning out when it finds nothing else to feed on, much to the wormadam's relief.
She sighs in pain. Considering her choices, her next attack is definitely preferable. She turns her head to the ceiling and shimmies about on the floor as much as she can - she can't really dance, but she tries at least. Slowly the ceiling lights flicker out one by one, slow enough for her eyes to adjust to the relative darkness, and a drop of rain falls down to the floor somewhere with a tap. Another one follows - and another - and the ceiling opens up with a literal roar of water pouring down upon the battlers. Lobsta sighs with relief, as does the Grouch, to her own surprise; her heated 'skin' feels very relieved under the water, despite her former displeasure.
Lobsta, though, appreciates it most. She waits a few moments for the water to collect on the floor - it takes longer, now that the cracks from the earthquakes collect some of it, but the rain from before is already in there so it's not too long a wait. Once she's wet enough, she slinks along and finds Yakuza, who's found himself grounded once again, and pissed about it. The bird eyes the fish with disdain, knowing full well what's coming; as Rock Lobsta pushes herself off the ground and pummels into Yakuza head-first, straight into the bird's chest, Yakuza screeches in sheer agony. It feels like his bones are breaking, like his chest is collapsing, like he can't breath. He sags and gasps for air; Lobsta swishes away, quite proud of his handiwork.
Munchy eyes her teammate with worry. She's sure Yakuza will be fine, pokemon always are, they're healed and back to battle, but still. It's unsettling. She turns to the damned fish with renewed fury, sparks surrounding her skin and flying wild in the pouring rainwater. She screams - the sparks grow bright white and huge, snaking towards Rock Lobsta and landing on her with a crash. The relicanth screams and thrashes under the impact, her burns growing even worse; as the attack fades, she turns warily to Munchy, eyes barely managing to focus.
She doesn't even see the next one coming.
Another flash of lightning rushes at her, wrapping her in its light and coursing through her like white fire. Just like the gyarados before her, she barely moves this time, and as the electricity fades, so does she. She blinks once, twice, and as her eyes close, she doesn't open them.
Yakuza smirks. He's gotten his breath back; a few wild sparks dance around his wings, left over from the thunder attack. Oh yes, revenge is definitely sweet.
The Grouch eyes her opponents, then her fallen teammate. Well. She's alone now. She takes a deep breath; it catches in her throat, like there's something there. She clears her throat loudly; something nasty comes up, a viscous liquid, gross. She swishes it around in her cheeks, pondering, and then spits it out towards Munchy; the purple toxins soar through the downpour of rain, much of it watered down, until it crashes into the kangaskhan's brown fur and seeps in. Munchy turns in shock towards the wormadam, rubbing at the toxic with a grossed expression, but it's already soaked through her skin into her blood. It'll take a bit longer till she feels it, but she definitely knows it's gross.
Perhaps out of revenge, Munchy rolls her eyes and turns to face the ceiling again - it's become as much a participant of this battle as anyone. A few moment of staring and quiet mumbling, and the rain slows down to a drizzle; Munchy waits patiently, and the rain stops entirely. As if in reverse of the previous actions, the lights begin to flicker on one by one, until the entire ceiling is bright white, and Munchy turns to look at the Grouch with undisguised vehemence.
Yakuza flaps the water off his wings as much as he can; he's really growing tired of the continued change in weather, or fake-weather as it is. He sighs and takes to the air, still dragged down by the extra weight of water but managing nontheless. With a few flaps he gathers the heat under his body, focusing it as before into ripples, and another lazy wave of a wing sends it spreading out towards the Grouch - only one direction this time. The heat sparks to life, the air spontaneously burning into a wild fire, which rushes towards the wormadam - the Grouch shivers and closes her eyes in complete fear, hoping beyond hope the Occa berry she ate before will protect her.
The fire hits her, burning across her delicate skin, and despite the berry's influence the burning seems to be even worse than before. In fact she can't even maintain her balance - she falls over, whimpering in pain, her metal armour melting slowly under the fire's heat. She continues her whimpers even when the fire goes out; nothing can stop her pain.
Slowly, very slowly, she pushes herself back up. She looks warily at Yakuza, somehow afraid that just looking at the bird will set her on fire, but nothing happens. So with trepidation she tries to catch some light in her melted armour; she focuses the light into focused energy and unleashes it in a formed ball onto the flying bird. It crashes into Yakuza and explodes on impact, releasing its light as if it were liquid all over his feathers and dripping down, but most importantly Yakuza screams in complete agony as the ball hits. He crashes weakly to the floor - the attack hit him in the chest, where Lobsta had hit him before. Slowly he pushes himself back up with his wings, turning over so he can sit, and breathes heavily; he's not having a very good day at all.

Arena Notes:
- The stadium's floor is broken into dozens of deep and many less-deep cracks, which are filled with water. The walls are all covered in burn and scorch marks, as well as the ceiling and floor. The ceiling is covered in overly-powerful lights, having the effect of sunny day and quickly drying up the water covering the floor (5 more rounds).
Final Notes:
- Yakuza's last Heat Wave and Flash Cannon were both crit's.
- Lobsta fainted on the second action before getting a chance to attack.
- I'm not sure why the Occa berry lasts an entire round but w/e.
- L'il sends out, Kratos attacks.
