Yup, a small island (I mean REALLY small) lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, covered entirely of sand except for a small part in the middle, where some grass is randomly scattered, and a giant baobab in the exact center, covering almost one fifth of the island's surface. Of course, only small Pokémon can withstand a battle in that area.

Two boats floating next to an island: not an incredibly strange sight, especially with the citizens of Asber, where trips to alternate dimensions or even nothingness aren’t uncommon. What makes this different, though, is its black blast crater, along with the large tree in the isle’s center. Oh, and the windy storm dropping chunks of ice, of course.

Under his pail, Chief Zackrai blindly tosses a red-and-white ball onto the sand. As the normal flash of white appears, a cotton ball pops out, much to Ptah’s confusion; that’s a Pokémon?, he thinks as Plume unfolds her wings, plopping to the ground. Immediately, she notices the dark and dirty sand; tweeting with dissatisfaction, Plume sweeps up the area with her cloud-like wings. Before she can clean her fluff in the ocean, though, the referee waves a green flag high in the air.

The Swablu tries to decide what to do first: attack that weird, flying bat-scorpion, or wash her gritty wings; after a bit of thought, Plume goes for the former. After all, she can’t disappoint her trainer, and defeating the Gligar would only take a minute. Plume opens her creamy-white beak, calling what little power over ice she had. A bright sky blue ball begins rapidly growing in her mouth; meanwhile, on the other side, Ptah is summoning rocks from under the island, ripping holes in the sand. As he lifts his claws to rain boulders down onto Plume, the Swablu releases her ball of ice, unleashing a beam of iridescent blue light; it crashes into Ptah as if it were solid, throwing him back as the air around him frosts.

Ptah falls to the ground with a solid thud as the happy Swablu flaps around the island. With a twisting beam of red light, Ptah is gone, into Chief Zackrai’s Poké Ball; on the other hand, Lord of the Fireflies is just as elated as his Pokémon, grinning like an idiot as the storm above them clears to a shining sun, but not without a vengeance as a final hailstone drops onto Plume. She’s unbothered by it, though, making trips back and forth from the ocean to wash the island clean as the clouds.

Arena Notes: The hail has cleared up, and the island is noticeably cleaner due to Plume’s efforts.

Notes:
- No offense to Cottonee or Whimsicott intended.
- …are there rocks under islands?
- So! That took much longer than it should have, some because of the overhaul, some mostly because of my slow reffing.
- Rewards! Lord of the Fireflies gets $16, I get $10, and Chief Zackrai gets $6. Coat, Plume, and Ptah all get 2 experience points, while Bes gets 1. Happy spending!
