Arena: Professor Lab
Who's the said professor is not really important. It is a generic Professor Lab were starters are given away and where new trainers begin their journey to become the new Pokémon Champion, then register on Smogon and realize they suck and have their dreams shattered. Oh well. Said Professor (Actually let's just call him Prof. Said) left his town and lab for two trainers to battle, and he might regret it but anyways a bit of reconstruction work is a fart for the Almighty Prof. Said.

Anyways, the battle will take place outside the lab, because we want every move working, you know (There's also a stream for Surfing convenient isn't it). Since starter Pokémon will feel quite at home here, all attacks that match their type have their damage boosted by 2% after all calculations for 2% less energy. Besides that it's pretty much it.
Arena status: There are seeds all over the ground. A blackboard hanging around outside the laboratory is on fire. There is a hole on the ground, and the rocks it was previously composed of are scattered around. A Stealth Rock has been set up around a tree near the arena, which Kazan is barely holding onto.

-----

After Lord of the Fireflies stared at the skies and screamed "SEREBIIIIIIIIIIII", commands were issued once more.

Fu promptly breathed up a spray of flames, effortlessly setting the tree alight. The Stealth Rock floating around it prevented the fires from reaching the ground too fast.

Even Fire-type Pokémon can be uncomfortable with the heat (unless they have like Flash Fire or Magma Armor as an ability). The rapidly approaching blaze made it difficult for Kazan to hold on, and surely enough, they would eventually reach the branch he was hanging onto, either snapping it or making it unbearable to the touch. Before getting out, however, the Chimchar still got some armbar exercise in before getting off, rolling to reduce the impact.

Before he knew, however, his opponent pinned him down, paws on the chest, fangs barren and irradiating dark pulses. With a snarl, the Growlithe sunk his head, trying to reach for the neck but ultimately only getting the collarbone to bite. It was still painful enough to lead to screeching.

Not knowing what a Hammer Arm is (would that mean an arm slam while hamming it up?), the chimp Pokémon had to make do with the part of the instruction he understood: trying to keep the Thunderpunching fist in contact for as long as possible. This proved less than practical in his positioning, though, and the electrified fisticuff just flew to no particular effect outside causing pain.

Backing off from the hit, the canine Pokémon let out a fierce roar, then leapt and began to hack and slash and bite and slam and pretty much everything faster than anybody could block it. Amidst the frenzied attacks, Kazan managed to get back up (while still getting hit), which gave him room to perform his command with more precision.

Finding one narrow opportunity, he punched down on his foe's backside, pressing him against the ground until the electricity was rippling through his body enough to disrupt a couple of nerves. Regardless, Fu kept bringing down the violent strife up until the end of the round, and even a couple of seconds thereafter (forcing the referee to physically break it up, and earning him a gash on the arm during the process).

-----

Scolding was wasted on the furious Growlithe; he insistently did not much beyond swatting away at the grass in front of him. As the commands had not terribly much novelty to them, though, he listened to them just fine.

With the round started, he leapt ownards and continued his relentless battering. However, this time, Kazan would not be pinned into submission. Having been ready for the incoming onslaught, he received the impact carefully with a defensive pose, then counterstruck fiercely, sending his foe into a backflip at the process.

Even further enraged by the powerful blow, Fu started to bark with unbridled savagery, charging once more, but this time not just to flail around, but also for payback over each slight received during the battle. Once more, however, the Chimchar would not succumb -- he simply generated a shielding forcefield around himself. It was difficult to keep it operational because of the terribly heavy blows it received, but it held fast.

When the canine Pokémon found himself forced to settle back after the exhausting rampage, that was the chimp's opportunity to strike freely. As earlier, his fist crackled with electricity as he punched his foe across the face, backing off just before the end of round.

There were clear orders not to bite the referee, which might or might not have prevented another reckless illegal rave.

After much holding the enraged Growlithe back, the eleventh round began.

Begin things with a Rapid Spin to clear away these rocks, shall we? Follow up with Rain Dance, though if Taunted, a big ol' Water Spout sounds nice. -----

The referee gazed at the aspiring widlfire with a doubtful gaze. It was bad enough that the trainers had blown a hole through the lab proper within the first round; burning it to the ground (or its surroundings, for that matter) would result in lawsuits typically reserved for Metronome battling (and even then, destruction by Metronome is legally permissible; it would be harder to argue for obliteration that was more possible to control).

Fortunately, the next out had to be a Water-type, so, Coloursfall could order that the fires be put out on a whim, and having the blazes hanging around wouldn't benefit her in any way. Specially not against a Fire-type enemy.

The next out was a bipedal, reptilian Pokémon whose blue-scaled, plain body carried a grooved shell. He promptly noticed a few sunflowers off the field before taking account of a crackling noise and noticed the ongoing conflagration. Also seeing the fiery opponent, he immediately had suspicions on his morality or lack thereof.

And on this note, another round began.

Kazan promptly got the provocation on, saying that he'd have his foe's head stuck in those impressive flames for his next move. Never mentioning that Fu was the actual responsible for igniting the tree, of course.

The prepotence and clear refusal to acknowledge how insanely dangerous a wildfire is struck a nerve. Jacob was tempted to start bearing down on the enemy right there, but it was satisfying enough to hit something else for that while. And so, he leapt and spun in the air as he withdrew into his shell, clearing the Stealth Rock around the burning tree safely (although not without some minor scrapes from the fluttering stones) before backing away from the blaze quickly.

Out of nonwhere, however, he was struck by a punch on the face. One that didn't just hurt, but also stung horribly as it pumped electric voltage into the highly water-containing, conductive body of the Squirtle. Now even more annoyed, he didn't hesistate as he pulled his next attack.

Taking a deep breath and facing the sky, he blasted up a massive spout of water, almost every last loose liter within him. Drops of it hurtled aggressively towards the ground, many of them hitting and thoroughly soaking the hapless Chimchar, and several others weakening but not totally neutralizing the fires.

Shaking himself in a futile attempt to get rid of all that irritating water, the chimp Pokémon rushed towards the foe, delivering another zap jab and hoping that the next of the battle would turn out better from that point ownards. It didn't; the enraged tortoise quickly leapt into a stream running nearby, using his Water-type powers to jack it up and ride a wave up to his opponent. The Surf attack totally drenched much of the battlefield, finishing off the wildfire and only not nearly doing the same to the true target because of the damage cap, which manifested itself as a faint red glow from the weary Fire-type's body.

The threat of having the laboratory lit up was gone, and the humans now felt a very annoying but much better sensation: that of getting soaked up.

-----

The trainers issued their commands as usual while they tried to get rid of the water on their clothes. Lord of the Fireflies could totally relate with his Pokémon's discomfort, although not quite so because the elemental weakness made it that much worse.

And speaking of elemental weaknesses, Kazan opened the round exploiting that of his opponent as per usual, letting loose yet another crackling punch.

Jacob was still well on the lead, however, and the next move would show it well. He spat up a small wave of heavily salted water, giving his opponent yet another layer of unpleasant fire dampening, coupled with a painful sting for each one of his several wounds. The attack was so painful, its victim stood cringing motionlessly on the ground for a minute or so.

After that, however, the Chimchar rose back up valiantly and, letting out a screech of determination, released his hidden powers. The flame on his tail exploded and became much larger; his whole body glew bright orange, except fot the eyes, which cast a red light instead.

In this fierce state, he proceeded to do just as he'd been doing the entire time: electric jabs. At the very least, though, his disposition was intimidating enough to knock the Squirtle right off his comfort zone.

Moving in for another sense of comfort zone, the turtle Pokémon withdrew into his shell, using Steel-type power to cover his flesh in liquid metal while in there. This, however, wouldn't prevent the enemy from lashing out another currented strike. The voltage passed through the Water-type's shell much better than the physcial impact did, and went far enough as to impair his muscle movement.

Jacob would have done a thing about it; however, unable to move, he was trapped inside his shell and unable to perform any move -- even one that would rid him of that state.

A blackboard hanging around outside the laboratory was on fire and got mostly consumed, but that was put out. There is a hole on the ground, and the rocks it was previously composed of are scattered around. The Stealth Rock has been scattered off, leaving only the pointed stones lying around with harmless edges face-up. One of the trees and the grass close to it were ablaze, but that was also quenched; it left everything badly charred, but still existant, atlhough the tree will snap easily.

Kazan's sudden burst of power didn't conceal his worsening state; it was clear that, soon enough, the final sendout of the match would be made. Each time more, the commands would have to be decisive, and even sheer luck would play a key part.

The Chimchar started up the round with absolutely no mercy. Using up every last drop of his no longer hidden strenght, he unleashed an enormous fireball, which exploded on contact with its target, hurling him away and leaving him charred all over with no regard whatsoever for elemental matchups.

Only then managing to finally sprout from his shell, Jacob quickly sought the stream, using the rushing waters to cleanse his body and regularize his muscle performance. No amount of peace and quiet would have deterred him from the seething anger over his foe, though.

And speaking of seething, even the river waters could do little about it as another Fire Blast burst away at the Squritle, leaving a painful burn in its wake.

The power of water was not to go inactive for the entirety of that round, however, as the turtle Pokémon rose from the creek with a blue glow around his body. As in the previous round, he pumped out a wave of heavily salted water, although it was less of a wave and more of a pump this time.

Completely drenched and stinging all over, the chimp Pokémon was finally taken down, fiery shine fading away along with his consciousness.

Additional notes:
- Right after Refreshing the paralysis off, Jacob was burned from the Fire Blast. Talk about terrible luck with status.
- The second Fire Blast hit a little over the damage cap.
- Next round, Lord of the Fireflies commands first.
