Uh, I didn't do it.
So, it's that time of the year again. People showed interest in holding the mafia awards again.

Here was the first Mafia Awards.

Now there were some issues last year. We had plenty of categories, but not very many nominees, and then hardly anyone voted. I don't have the PMs anymore but I believe the number of voters was still under ten.

Categories from last year:

Best Mafia Player
Best Game Master
Best Fakeclaim
Most Improved Player
Best New Player
Best New Game Master
Best Mafia Win
Best Alien Win
Best Lover Win
Most Shocking Win
Best Mafia Series
Best Mafia Game Overall
Most Original Theme
Most Creative Game Master

Now, I think that cutting down on the amount of categories might actually be a good thing. Maybe combining the alien, lover, fishing bro. etc wins into "Best Third Party Win" or something to that extent. Also maybe getting rid of Original Theme, Creative Game Master, and combining those into the consideration for Best Game Master.

Also someone mentioned a game... if this works, then having a game run by the Best Game Master winner and the players being the winners from other categories. (For the sake of the amount of players all involved in the category win would be invited to the game. IE the best lovers, both of them, the best mafia, the entire mafia from that game, etc.)

Suggestions? Comments? This is just the discussion thread, not the actual awards.

Well, this is a good idea.

I'm not sure how the champion's game would work though. It seems like a lot of the winners might not still be active or too busy to play.
 
^ Yes. All games that FINISHED from the time the last awards ended until the new ones start. Why wouldn't bastard mods be included?

There will be a nomination period, in which you PM me your nominations for each category. After the nomination period ends voting will begin. Votes will be PM'd to me. The nomination period will be from Nov. 1-15th, then the voting period from the 16th to the 31st, and the reveal should be within the next week after that, probably the day after.
