Corless sounds like colorless.

That's the point, since Achroma comes from achromatic (colorless).

Except the Japanese name is relevant to the Gen. 5 protag (Japanese, anyway) and rival theme naming. (Bel/Bianca=white, Cheren=black, Touya, Touko, Kyouhei, and Mei=transparency).

They probably just chose the wrong romanization for ヒュウ like when they took the wrong meaning of Touya and Touko to make Hilbert and Hilda, but it's still a little sad.

Corless is an awful name though.

(aka hope complains about useless, easily fixed things).

Hugh's actually a name though and it's not exactly subtle. It just brings it to the level of punniness everyone else in English Pokémon is.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not torn up over it. I just don't understand why (but I also don't understand why the designers couldn't have just colored Lyra's hair blue and retained Gold and Kris's names (esp. Since Silver's name was retained)), but there's no point in crying over it.

Corless is unforgivable though, because it doesn't sound good to my ears.

Oh man Hugh's name is such a pun I love it. It's hilarious. Corless does sound stupid, but by the time the games are actually released, I'll be used to it.

Not really. I guess the way they spelled it makes a little more since, but it's still a really awkward name.

I... really liked Corless. :( Colress is weird, but eh, I'll get used to it eventually.

(Also the name "Hugh" just looks really ugly in general but that's a personal thing so)

I am so SO looking forward to these games!
The World Tournament is going to be epic and is definitely one of the biggest draws for me. I'm also liking the idea of the Hidden Hallows and the hidden Pokemon abilities, which has rekindled my desire to collect Pokemon rather than just catch the ones I want or need.

My only problem... I don't know which one to buy... ;w;

I usually get both, and the one I like the least gets all my Pokemon dumped in and has the better TMs and such. With the exception of the third games and Diamond and Pearl, for some strange odd reason. =P

Ninetales is pretty nice when it's got Nasty Plot going for it (and it can make Overheat usable, if you wanna go for that). Golurk has rockets for feet, so that's probably all you need to make that choice.

what, overheat is always usable; you just have to account for its effect when planning. uh, also its horrendous accuracy, I guess.
