no more goddamn exams...

Rubber dinghy rapids, bro!
...until January. :D

so I had my last AS exam today. it was History Unit 2. and it kinda sucked ass. but that's okay because most of my other exams were fine so one or two retakes won't destroy me!

the rest of this term will be pissabout time. and then summer will be cool. except for the long excruciating wait for results.

but for the next three days I'm going to forget about that and party play video games like it's 1985!

oh and so this isn't just a me thread, any other AS guys finished yet?

ayyyy are you on OCR for History? I think we probably had the same paper; wasn't too bad. Wasn't expecting it to be on such a wide period though.

But they're over now! :D I have one day of study leave off... some others had two or three weeks because where their exams were timetabled. But. Still. They're. Dooooone!

nope, I was on AQA. but I understand where you're coming from. the other paper we did covered a ridiculous amount and this exam was tiny in comparison. :o

same here. I know some lucky buggers who got the entire exam leave off through lucky timetabling. and one poor guy who's doing Greek and has his last exam next tuesday.

congrats on also finishing!

Saaaaaaame, my last AS was Sociology on Tuesday. 8D

Feels so damn good, do you have study leave until next week or whatever as well? Congrats on finishing, hope your results are good! :D

I am doing A-level BUT I AM POSTING ANYWAY

...all my exams are next week. Well, I re-sat an AS last month but yeah.
and then I get a 3.5 month long summer

oh and no school ever again
feels good man

I never realised England had exams so late - I finished a few weeks ago. Congrats! :3 It's a nice feeling to be all done~

OCR <What does this stand for?

I know its not for the OCR I know and love, So explain please?

sorta. tomorrow is technically study leave. and then there's the weekend, but that doesn't count. and we go back Monday, which is horrible.

on the plus side we only have about three weeks left and about half my timetable is free periods because they don't bother to make a new timetable for the last bit of term and they don't make you go to the subjects you've given up!

eh I thought the A-level guys had their exams ages ago. O_o

but good luck anyway and omg no more school ever.

it might just be subject choices and exam boards that you're doing. if it wasn't for my English and one of my History exams I'd have been done by about the same time.

you know I really don't have a clue. :o

but according to wiki it's the Oxford, Cambridge and RSA examinations board. so huh.

Aaaand that's why you should only have one qualifications authority :o

WHAT we don't get to choose which subject(s) to drop until the end of the year! :( I'm going to have to go to Geography for the rest of term even though I know 100% that I'm going to drop it.

your idea makes sense, but I think some schools like to cherrypick exam boards so they can teach different courses if there's problems with a previous one.

well we're still allowed to continue going to our lessons if we're uncertain about what to drop. but honestly fuck that, I want my extra free periods. >:D

also why drop geo? it's awesome. D:

It is a bit weird. :v The other History one we did was mostly on stuff we'd spent maybe ten lessons on; have to try not to think of all the other hours and hours we spent working on stuff we didn't even need. ;0;

We don't drop anything till the end of the year as well; IT lessons with possibly the most monotonous teacher in the world for another few weeks ahhhh

And yeah, congratulation who everyone who finished. :D And good luck with your exams, Jolty.

I thought that everyone had their exams around the same time. GCSEs being slightly earlier but it's always seemed to me like ASes and A-levels were all at the same time.

Although maybe I think that because I'm sitting some of the maths exams the A-level people are doing. I still have three exams left, all of them maths :(
More annoying is that study leave ends on Monday but there's still those exams left.

We're not allowed to give up one of our subjects until next year, but I don't really mind. Not sure if I want to drop anything or not though. If anything I'd drop computing because

That seems reasonable. To combat this problem, the SQA exam booklets for subjects like History and Advanced English are huge in order to accommodate all of the different courses you could have possibly been taught - which makes it a pain to find anything @__@

Or if, you know, the people sitting the paper are just thick as mince and answer the wrong question. "HURR DID WE EVEN GET TAUGHT THAT"

haha my last exam was Tuesday

... and I passed it with a 93 and the class itself with a 95. I FEEL SPECIAL
dude this thread is for real manly exams. internal tests don't count. >:o

but congrats anyway.

the number of times this has happened in my school is pretty shocking. we always spend at least one lesson explaining very carefully which questions to answer.
