I think that Humongous Entertainment thread made me realize how much we need a thread just for this.

Post nostalgic games that you played as a kid.

For me:

All the Humongous Entertainment games (See this thread. These are all worth mentioning because they are all great.)

102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue (This was another PC game that I just couldn't stop playing. The level designs were all brilliant and it was such a fun game.)

Lego Racers
(This game was awesome. That's really all there is to say on the matter. Other related games I played were Lego Loco, which was a fun construction game, and Lego Stunt Rally, which was another fun racing game.)

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (I just looked back at some LP's of this game. I'm surprised I could remember most of this game. It's completely memorable because the levels are fantastic and the game is addicting as hell.)

Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup (Yes, I know. A Quidditch game. I'm surprised there hasn't been a remake for this because It was a great game.)

Sonic Adventure 2 (Yes, this was truly a memorable game. A lot of people probably remember this game. Also Sonic Heroes, which was my next favorite Sonic game.)

Pokémon Yellow (I'm obligatorily putting my first Pokémon game on here, because, well, this game was my childhood. I seriously doubt I'd be the same person I am had I not spent countless hours obsessing over this game and obsessing over the franchise in general. I was a Pokémon savant who had memorized the height and weight of all the Pokemon, what levels they evolved, what moves they learned, and what their strengths and weaknesses were. Yeah, that was me.)

I've likely forgotten a few titles, but I have a feeling this thread is going to make me remember a few.

hamtaro
102 dalmatians activity center
disney's magic artist (or as i called it "disney magic arnist")
some little mermaid 2 game
some other 101 dalmatians game
super mario 64
pokémon snap
kirby 64
THAT ONE BLUE'S CLUES GAME I COULD NEVER FINISH THE CAKE ON
jump start 1st grade
some spanish-teaching game that i still have rudimentary knowledge of spanish numbers, days of the week and colors from

I bet there's tons more (I was quite the PC gamer in my younger days) but I can't remember them :C

Ugh, so so many wonderfully awful late 90s PC games. Dogz 5 basically ran alongside my life for at least a few years.

Amongst all the weird stuff there was Rayman 1 and 2 though, so. That's probably my number one nostalgic series. :o There were bits of Sonic, too!

There was also a reeeeeally awesome sci-fi alien tank Ubisoft game called Infestation, which is apparently really obscure but notoriously great. I don't even know what was up with it but it. was good. I can still get it to run and replay it maybe annually!! SO MUCH FUN. even better than this one shitty Art Attack sponsor game I fondly recall with my little sister like semi-regularly

SimAnt for the SNES was one of the few vidya games I played as kid, so it brings back memories of just chillin' in my mom's bedroom with my little brother. UuU

And while I didn't play it myself until I was older, Final Fantasy 7 was one that I watched my stepdad play for aaages. Even now I sometimes slip up and call Cloud Jakal, which was his name in my stepdad's play.

As well as the early Spyro games for the PS, as well as Season of Ice on GBA...

Also we played Yukon Trail and stuff in school, so there's that!

I didn't play video games very often when I was younger, though.

(and its kinda weird, I never played Earthbound as a kid, but I get this huge nostalgic vibe from it. odd!)

I played Jump Start 1st and 2nd grade as well. I suppose it was a wise move on my parents' part to get me playing educational PC games.

Disney's Magic Artist sounds familiar. I'm quite sure I had that and a couple other Disney games. I had several Winnie the Pooh games.

Oh, and now that I remember it...
WHERE...
IN THE WORLD...
IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?

I think that Humongous Entertainment thread made me realize how much we need a thread just for this.

Lego Racers[/B] (This game was awesome. That's really all there is to say on the matter. Other related games I played were Lego Loco, which was a fun construction game, and Lego Stunt Rally, which was another fun racing game.)

Now I have the title music from Lego Racers in my head. But yes that was a great game. I always thought Veronica Voltage looked like Anne Robinson. Also I thought that she was a ghost car because she was supposed to be dead, so I was weirded out when I finally beat the time trials (that ice level was so hard!) and the gives you her car set in person.
Lego Loco was fun for a while but it did get a bit boring after a while since you quickly run out of things to do. Thankfully now I have OpenTTD which is a much more in-depth train game!

Now Lego Rock Raiders. That's game Lego game worth talking about. It's probably the best single player RTS I've ever played. I want to play it again now.

Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup (Yes, I know. A Quidditch game. I'm surprised there hasn't been a remake for this because It was a great game.)

Never played this, but a quick shoutout to Ludo Bagman.
An online multiplayer quidditch game would be amazing.

Other than Lego Racers and Rock Raiders I can't say I can think of many nostalgic games I really enjoyed since I didn't really get into most games until a few years ago. (since my brother didn't often let me play any of his games when we were little and I didn't have any consoles)

He did let me play a Silver ROM he found, though it was half-translated. Skarmary was called Wooper and Hoothoot was called Hooth.

Then there's the original Sims which I still insist has the best buy mode music. I'll give The Sims 2 credit for having good create-a-sim music though!

Oh and Theme Park. I remember really liking the rock music the space shuttle ride made and I liked to tennis racket guitar when it was playing.

Pokemon Red - this was actually the first video game I ever owned, and I spent so long playing it as a four year old. I still remember my main team - Venusaur, Pidgeot, Arcanine, Seaking, Muk and Magneton. My new team on Black 2 is strikingly similar, as you will see in my sig.

Crash Bandicoot - Not just the first game, but the second, third and also Crash Team Racing. Aside from Pokemon, these games were my childhood. For those who don't know the series, these were the original Playstation 1 instalments. After the series shifted to Playstation 2 and the developers, Naughty Dog, left the series, it went downhill like a stone in a lake. Heartbreaking

Spyro the Dragon - Very, very similar to the Crash series, the two series' were almost like cousins as the two different developers were actually friends

Oregon Trail 5 (which I was just playing)
Petz 5
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2/3
Zoo Tycoon 1/2
The Sims 1/2
Pokémon Crystal
Spyro
Crash Bandicoot (never actually played but watched my brother all the time)
Kingdom Hearts

A pretty good childhood, I think.

The only ones I can really remember are Pokemon Yellow, a few Kirby games, and some Pirates of the Caribbean PC game that I got from McDonalds.

Oh, and the Megaman Battle Network series.

Sounds like a brilliant childhood, quite similar to mine. I don't know if you could get into Crash now if you never really played it as a child, but they were brilliant games to play. I love The Sims and RCT as well but never played the really old ones

Rayman for the PS1 was pretty much the greatest video game ever.

:O I forgot about that guy! I rarely got the chance to play the original, I had Crash and my brother had Rayman. Unfortunately, the Rayman games are now all about those stupid rabbit things. Pray4Rayman

Actually they don't do Rabbids any more! Or at least they released a non-rabbids game (Rayman Origins) not too long ago, which is a 2D platformer like the original. Pretty sure it's getting a sequel soon too.

FORGOT ROLLER COASTER TYCOON AND PETZ

also computer monopoly, we got it out of a cereal box but it was stupidly fun nonetheless

Oh, that should be good. I wish they would release a new Crash game similar to the originals. They really screwed him over the new developers did. I hope for life that Game Freak never hand Pokemon to anyone else

My (very early) childhood literally consisted of: LEGO Star Wars; Pokemon Ruby; Finding Nemo; The Incredibles. All for the GBA.

Super Mario World
Super Mario Kart
Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3
Street Fighter 2
Jurassic Park for SNES
Streets of Rage
Super Monaco GP
Star Fox
Donkey Kong Country 3

plus tons of other games I'm forgetting now.

PSX didn't exist in my childhood. It was a happy childhood with only SNES and Genesis.

Ps1
Rayman
Crash Bandicoot
Small solders

Gameboy
Pokemon sapphire (my first Pokemon game)

Computer
Doom
My Little Pony Friendship Gardens
The Sims
Rugrats in Paris the game
Monopoly (1995)
