• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

OH MY GOD SNOW

emotionless and cold as ice
... WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM EST SUNDAY...

A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM EST SUNDAY.

A MAJOR WINTER STORM WILL IMPACT MUCH OF THE REGION FROM LATER THIS AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. A VERY STRONG LOW PRESSURE CENTER WILL TRACK FROM THE DEEP SOUTH NORTHEAST TO THE CAROLINA COAST BY THIS EVENING... .AND THEN UP THE EAST COAST THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION WILL BE THROWN WELL NORTH AND WEST OF THE LOW CENTER.

PRECIPITATION WILL ADVANCE NORTHWARD INTO SOUTHERN WEST VIRGINIA BY MID AFTERNOON... AND QUICKLY OVERSPREAD THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION TONIGHT. IT WILL START OFF AS RAIN OR A RAIN AND SNOW MIX THIS AFTERNOON... BUT QUICKLY CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW THIS EVENING.

THE PRECIPITATION WILL REMAIN ALL SNOW AS IT CONTINUES INTO SATURDAY. ALTOGETHER... THE HEAVIEST SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE LIKELY BY DAWN SATURDAY.

TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION POTENTIAL WILL RANGE FROM 6 TO 12 INCHES... WITH THE HEAVIER AMOUNTS CLOSER TO THE MOUNTAINS... BEFORE TAPERING OFF SUNDAY MORNING.

HEAVY SNOW WILL MAKE TRAVEL CONDITIONS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS. ALL UNNECESSARY TRAVEL SHOULD BE AVOIDED. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL... USE YOUR HEADLIGHTS... DRIVE AT SLOWER SPEEDS... AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION. LEAVE WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS... AND CARRY AN EMERGENCY SURVIVAL KIT INCLUDING FOOD... WATER... AND BLANKETS.

I AM SO EXCITED

We're supposed to get some tomorrow, too. at 5:30 in the morning

And it's supposed to keep going till Sunday!!

The only down-point is that the driveway in my new house slopes down

So we're stuck XD

It snowed for like ten minutes here earlier this morning

which is saying something since it never snows here in December ever ever ever

it didn't stick but hey. SIGNS OF GOOD THINGS TO COME - it's supposed to be rainy/cloudy and not go above 35 degrees for the next few days

Anyway lucky you. :D

Lucky! We had 6 inches here a coupla days ago, but then it got warm and melted.... Then there was a big storm, but it was like, 35 outside. It melted again and now I'm sad....SNOW! PLEASE COME BACK! ;_;

I HAS SNOW TOO!

It started last night, and we have around 4 inches from taking a quick glance outside.

We have TONS of snow. All over the place. And it actually survived the night. :D We even made a snowman!

I'm going to Scotland tomorrow for a few weeks, and it's apparently even better (uh, worse for drivers though, I guess...) <3

Good luck with your snow! :D!

My street looks like this right now!

And we totally made a snowman. The neighbors thought they were SO TOTALLY COOL getting out there and making a snowman before us, but ours is better. >:O
