• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Pokemon Island

Charizard Morph

has doomed us all.
The boat has crashed on an uncharted island somewhere between Hoenn and Sinnoh. On this island there is every resource you need(bare resources, food, sticks, matches, huts, large jars of peanut butter.. Mmm, peanut butter, I love….…), along with five things that you had in your backpack, plus your Pokemon. (Don’t bother with healing items, they‘re free). Now, stuck on this uncharted island, with no way off (Because of course fixing the boat isn’t an option) you must find a way to live together in peace and harmony (Ruin and discord…).

Right. Well, this is supposed to be a spoof of Gilligan’s island, with Pokemon, and you all have backpacks with stuff in them. But that’s okay, because after watching the show a few extra hundred (exaggeration) times out of boredom and obsessiveness, I noticed that they all seemed to get whatever they needed out of nowhere. Pie pans, oh god, where did they get the PIE PANS!? Not to mention that The Howls and Ginger had SUITCASES for a three hour tour. (although Gingers has been explained, I can’t remember the explanation) I’ve learned not to ask and just roll with it, so anything that comes out of nowhere is fine with me, as long as you ‘found it in the jungle’, or it ‘washed up on the beach’.

The game will start when I feel like there’s enough people, probably around six or seven more.

Rules:
Okay, not all of these are rules, and I don’t want to mess with it, so it’s now named:
RULES AND EXPLINATION:

1. You have to make up the character, no exceptions. Although they can bear similarities to characters from the show…….
2. Keep it between PG and T, this is supposed to be a clean comedy.
3. No cussing. That is law. None, ever. If you cuss three times, you will be kicked out.
4. The reason that age is 14+ is because despite game freaks belief that a ten year old is perfectly capable of living out in the wild on their own (I will leave it at this flaw, I could go on about this forever) I do not. So you have to be 14+.
5. You can put ‘it’. You’re character will be the wonder of the island, because no one will be able to figure out what gender they are.
6. Please don’t kill things.
7. There will be episodes, the way this works is that there will be an opening from the narrator, and you go from there until it is deemed at an end, long or short, episodes are episodes. I am the narrator, you can give me ideas for episodes by sending me a PM. The first episode, of course, is going to begin with everyone on the boat and then the boat crashing.
8. No, I have never done this before.
9. You can’t surf off the island, if anyone thinks of this, I will be forced to make up a real reason as to why. So please don’t mention it until I’ve thought of something less cliché than whirlpools.
10. Only one character per person.
11. Please make an effort to use whatever grammar skills you may have obtained throughout your life.
12. The S.S. Finneon is the name of the boat.
13. The only eletronic you have that could work is a pokedex, and you can’t call anyone on it. Any signals from cell phones, pokenavs, pokegear, or any of the like, do not work.
14. It’s okay if you don’t know what Gilligan’s Island is, you can still play.
15. You are not allowed to own or capture(in a Pokéball) legendaries in this Role Play.
NEW!!
16. Some of the characters can be pokemon. You cannot capture the wild ones, unless they want to be captured by you.

Extra stuff:
I decided to add this, because it seemed like it would be interesting.
I know that it's a little contridicting of the rules, and i'm probably already failing at running an RP, but hopefully it works.

1. I have decided (with a little help) that you can also play as a pokemon.
2. This means that you can have a character as a pokemon along with human.
3. If you want to be a trainers pokemon(one that belongs to someone already), you have to either belong to your own human character, or get someone else to agree to letting you on their team.
4. If you were on the ship for some other reason, already on the island, or were seperated from your human during the crash, it's fine by me. You can wander around without someone throwing pokeballs at you every five seconds.
5. You cannot be a legendary. This is because i am planning on having some episodes with legendaries, and if there's two on the island at the same time I'll have to make something up about a time warp or something, which would make this way more complicated than i want it to be.
6. I don't want to bother altering the whole sheet, so just make sure that you fallow the instructions that i'm about to give. I will only be talking about the ones that need to be edited.
a. AGE: Pokemon ages and human ages are obviously different, so just make sure that you're 14+ in pokemon years.
b. POKEMON: Just say what pokemon you are.
c.BACKPACK: If you're a pokemon that could carry a backpack(Hitmonchan, Machamp, anything with arms...) then you can have one, but if you couldn't carry one normally (Skitty with it's tiny legs would not work), then don't have one. If you belong to a trainer, then you cannot have one.

Okay, here’s the sheet. Sign up if you want, don’t if you don’t. It’s as simple as that.

**********************************************************

Name: (OOOHHH! Names, well, pick one already!!)

Gender: (This should be obvious. If you put ‘it’ we can call you whatever we want.(yes, that does mean that ‘it’ is an option))

Age: (14+ please)

Pokemon: (Up to six, although they aren’t exactly the main focus here, you can add as many or few details as you want. No legendaries alowed.)

History: (Well, explain why you were on the boat in the first place at least please. Oh yeah, and the boat was heading from Sinnoh to Hoenn.)

Appearance: (Gimmie a picture or a description, I don’t care as long as we know what you look like )

Personality (Um, yeah, one of those would be nice.)

Backpack: (What are you carrying in your Backpack? Remember that you have five items. No more, no less. They can be anything, not just Pokemon items. A swimsuit, two changes of clothes(if you want them) and a water bottle are already included.)

Other: (well, is there anything else you want to add? The fact that I‘m insane is reasonable.)

**********************************************************

Yes, this is what you get when I’m bored out of my mind and have absolutely nothing better to do than procrastinate on that project on the Mesozoic era.

Here's my form:

Name: Charlie

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Pokemon:
Growlithe (Lilly): Female (hatched the day before she got on the boat)

Lanturn (Storm): Male (nothing special really, was captured and is a strong part of her team)

Scyther (Strike): Female (Spent a week searching for one. This Scyther is much smaller than average, but can hold it’s own in a fight.)

Froslass (Mary): Female (Charlie is terrified of Ghost types, so her reaction when her Snorunt found a dawn stone as Mt. Cornet wasn’t good. Charlie is now very comfortable around Frosslass, but not around any other ghost types.)

Absol (Silver): Male (Absol was her starter Pokemon, given to her by her grandfather, while he was visiting Sinnoh, as a present when he was an egg, he’s the strongest member of her team.)

Gallade (Leo): Male (The second Pokemon she caught was a male ralts, who refused to evolve form Kirlia until she went to the store and purchased a dawn stone.)

History: Charlie was taking the boat to Hoenn to visit her grandparents. An accomplished trainer in Sinnoh, she decided to challenge Hoenn after visiting her grandma and grandpa.

Appearance: she has long brown straight hair, and green eyes, she’s wearing a pair of cut off jeans, that serve as shorts, and a green T-shirt with vine pattern up the front. She has her Pokemon on the standard yellow Pokemon belt, and wears a thin silver chain with a purple fang hanging off of it.

Personality: She’s pretty calm most of the time, but ghost types freak her out. She likes to play cards and can’t cook a meal to save her life. She’s usually pretty happy, and can think through situations (unless they involve ghost types). Her biggest flaw is that she tends to start talking, but by the time she’s done, no one is listening anymore.

Backpack: Rope, Cactus, Fire Stone, Roll of Duct Tape, Deck of Cards.

Other: I’m freaking nuts for doing this…

Name: Zeta Rhyx

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Pokemon:

History: Zeta, having been pretty good with Pokemon in Sinnoh, decided to take a trip to a different region so that he could catch Pokemon from the region. He took a lift on the S.S. Finneon, and he fell asleep exactly two minutes before it crashed, so now he's on the island and has no idea where he is. Not that anyone does.

Appearance: (Gimme a picture or a description, I don’t care as long as we know what you look like )

Personality: (Um, yeah, one of those would be nice.)

Backpack: (What are you carrying in your Backpack? Remember that you have five items. No more, no less. They can be anything, not just Pokemon items. A swimsuit, two changes of clothes(if you want them) and a water bottle are already included.)

Other: you're insane Nice RP here :D

Can I finish later?

Can I finish later?

Yes. I can't accept until you'e finished though.

Male Gardevoir Reserved.

I added something new, because it seemed like a good idea.
Everything between the word NEW and the first line of *'s is new.

Name: Zoltea (I always prefer to use this in RPs. :3)

Gender: Male

Age: 16
Pokemon: *cough* none

History: I was tired of seeing the same things over and over in Sinnoh and decided I wanted to check out Hoenn.

Appearance: (Sprite form okay?)
Zoltea.gif

Personality: usually happy and calm, tends to not be completely serious usually.

Backpack: Not much except for some kind of scarf.

Other: I am a Jolteon, with oddly overpowered electric attacks. (higher voltage in other words)

Mwahaha, don't forget that in the pokemon world, there are berry trees that look similar to palm trees, these trees have berries called Cocon berries.

Hmm.. I guess you should reserve me. The swearing thing might get me kicked out unintentionally, though >_>

Name: Vai Kisubo

Gender: (Female

Age: 16

Pokemon:

Freezefire, a female Weavile.

Storm, a female Salamence.

Static, a Rotom.

History: Vai had gotten the eight badges from Sinnoh, and decided she wanted to go try Hoenn's Gyms out. She brought with her four Pokemon, the rest were boxed away.

Appearance:
valkyrie.png
[/lazy]

Personality Very careless, but gets annoyed easily. Vai's rather quick to act, and somewhat friendly. She may or may not use the knife on you if you piss her off.

Backpack: A pocket knife, a hatchet, a small pouch of birdseed, a large can of pepper spray, and an Itemfinder. So I have an explanation. >:3

Name: Lucky
Gender: Male
Age: Since I'm a doggie, I'll go with doggie years; two in human, fourteen in Pokemon/Dog years.
Pokemon: Lucario

History: Lucky was a Pokemon who belonged to a human on the boat; she was taking Lucky and her Pokemon with her. When the boat crashed, she drowned, and her Pokeballs sank in the ocean too. Of course, since Lucky was her starter and favorite, he was always out of his ball. His ball was empty, and, obviously, bobbed a little bit before almost falling. Lucky grabbed it as a reminder of his old Trainer.

Appearance: Lucky is albino; his blue and yellow fur is white, and his black remains black.

Personality: Lucky used to be outgoing, and sometimes still is around trusted people. Lucky is now very drawn back and shy, and doesn't speak unless spoken to.

Backpack: He obviously has his old Pokeball; he has his trainer's Nun-chucks (which almost sunk along with his ball); a cobalt scarf that is raggedy now, but was handmade by his trainer; a handcrafted knife made by his grandfather a day before capture;PIEEEEhis shoes that were bought before the crash, and they look as raggedy as his clothes; and the water bottle & change of clothes CM said we get.

Other: His trainer taught him how to speak human laguage, as he was born without the ability. Also, he has raggedy clothes with holes and tears, because he's always worn clothes, even as a Riolu, so he will continue to wear his raggedy clothes. Also, Lucky will entrust a human with his Pokeball later and have another trainer. I'm open for a trainer.

hey Dragon? May I be your Pokémon? :3

Name: Gardean

Gender: Male

Age: 15 in Pokéyears

Pokemon: Gardevoir

History: Gardean was raised on a Pokémon ranch, being the child of such an obvious pair as a Gardevoir and Gallade. The rancher, a rather small and thin guy named Lucas, sold Pokémon to trainers under the condition they took good care of whatever Pokémon they tried to buy from him. Gardean eventually got a nice trainer, but had to the bad luck to be with said trainer when the boat sank, and ended up on the island.

Appearance: Gardevoir

Personality: Gardean is quite the optimist, who doesn't have such a bleak look on life as it first seems. He's, on the other hand, extremely sensitive if people mention how much he look like a girl, upon which he'll try to jam their head on closest sharp rock. Gardean is otherwise rather good at ignoring insults.

Backpack: Is it necessary for a Pokémon to have a backpack?

Other: Insane? YOU ARE SPARTA! *kicks*

Name: Danielle White

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Pokemon:
Vanilla, a shiny female Wingull (Level 15- Knows Growl, Water Gun, Supersonic & Wing Attack)
Chocolate, a female Skitty (Level 20- Knows Sing, Doubleslap, Growl & Attract, Danielle's first Pokemon)
Mint, a male Oddish (Level 4- Knows Absorb)
Strawberry, a male Growlithe (Level 8- Knows Bite, Roar & Ember)
Toffee, a female Riolu (Level 5- Knows Quick Attack, foresight & Endure)
Caramel, a male Chinchou (Level 13- Bubble, Water Gun, Thunder Wave & Supersonic)

History: She was just coming back home (to Hoenn) after visiting her Aunt for her birthday. Danielle was planning on opening a flower shop in Mossdeep City with her friends, but it looks like that goal with have to wait...

Appearance: She has messy blonde hair that is usually tied back into a ponytail and dull green eyes. She wears a light pink singlet/tank top (whatever you want to call it), denim three-quarter-length jeans and sandals. Her Pokeballs are kept on her belt, like what most trainers do.

Personality: Danielle is quite outgoing and cheerful around her friends, but she's very shy around people she doesn't know. It takes her a while to warm up to strangers.

Backpack: A slice of birthday cake (which is now all wet and not very tasty), a packet of flower bulbs, sunglasses, an extra pair of sandals and a party popper.

Other: Her Pokemon are named after ice-cream flavours XD

Name: Kali

Gender: Female

Pokemon: Flygon

Age: 58 (Flygons, however, can live almost indefinitely, however, if there's enough food, and they stay away from injury or disease)

History: Kali is a native of the island, and her territory includes the part of the beach everyone happened to wash up onto. She's lived mainly on the numerous rodents around the island (Hey, wild Pokemon have to eat too, you know), some of which do grow larger than normal, due to the plentiful resources and few predator species.

Appearance: This picture should give what she looks like, so I'll give her dimensions. When walking or running on all fours, Kali is about 25 feet long, and about 6 feet tall at the back. When reared up onto her hind legs, she is just over 22 feet long and almost 11 feet tall. She weighs about 2300 lbs.

Personality: Despite her age and size, Kali is very curious and playful. She hasn't been around humans often, mostly because they don't come to her island, so they intrigue her. She's also quite smart, and while she can't speak a human language, she has been able to use tools, and she likes picture books. She knows humans exist, from the trash she's seen from their wreckage, and has figured out a little about them, but has never actually seen a live human

Backpack: Kali often visits the shore to see if any new items have washed up, and has learned how to use quite a few human-made items. She keeps these items in her little nest, only because some of them are too big for a backpack. They include: a large, thick rubber but hollow ball, an actual backpack (which she carries around her arm), a long (about 200ft) rope (hours of stringy fun:p), a large metal pot (good for cooking or boiling water), and a collection of picture books (she's impressed with the drawings, and has made associations with some human words).

Other: I hope everything is all right... The rules and stuff don't seem to be designed for native Pokemon, though they do appear to be allowed.

Name: Seth

Gender: Male

Age: 2 yrs. old (14 in whatever years that the species goes by)

Pokemon: Typhlosion

History: Rogue pokemon that, after evolving, got kicked out of City to the port. bought some clothes and disguized himself as a human. Snuck aboard the ship. Once it crashed, a strange person saved him from drowning.

Appearance: His back is red instead of blue, and the rest is a tan-ish color...

Personality: very calm; knows English from roaming city streets as a Quilava; somewhat talkitive, until he gets angry, that's what the aqua brace is for...

Backpack: "aqua brace" [keeps the fire on his neck from going up/ off]; charcoal [fire-type attack booster [duh] and a memorandom of the City]; Neverending flame [fire-type booster (like charcoal) except better! It instintaniously {spelling?} increases the power of any fire-type pokemon]; frisbe [a frisbe, it's for someone to throw when he's bored...[Duh]]; Firequa [water that will make fire type pokemon less resistant to regular water].

Other: YOU ARE INSANE CM!!!!! (but the RP is set up nicely)

Male gardevoir, accepted.
(To answer your question: if you have a trainer you're not spose to have a backpack anyway. If you're a wild pokemon, it's optional weather or not you have one.)

Raichao, Accepted.

Kali, accepted. (yeah, native pokemon are allowed.)

Magnemite, you need Five items if you have a backpack, just add three and you're good.

yeah, i just have to finish the opening for the episode and i think i'll wait on Magnemite. After that it's smoothe sailing. (or maybe not...)
