Here's the thing. I really wanted to start a screenshot run of Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum. Though, I've played Platinum so many times, and I've never played the other two. I didn't want to play Diamond because I wouldn't want people to confuse it with bobandbill's "diamond" run (which is a pokemon hack made before the actual Diamond and Pearl came into existance) (and you should totally check out his run, while you're at it!). Thus, Pearl.
Besides, it was either a normal playthrough and posting it on here or a Nuzlocke and posting it on the Nuzlocke forums. Considering that I lost so many 'mons in my Emerald nuzlocke and I don't think I can subject my heart to any more misery like that, a normal playthrough it is!
Let's get started, shall we?
In the beginning, there was a G inside a fish/ear hybrid thing that will no doubt be a new Pokemon for generation eight or so.

Man, Palkia looks so cool. I mean look at it! All Platinum got was some flying ghost serpent that has red wavy things in it. BUT THIS GUY'S GOT PINK

Oh, right, Rowan's the professor. Don't mistake that as disappointment. I actually consider Rowan to be one of the better professors~
I know that Pearl's one of the first games for generation four, but come on. Any self respecting Pokemon gamer would know what the general idea of the game is. Er, anyone on here, that is. 'Sides, it's always the same in every of the main series games. Catch them all, thwart Team Evil Name, be the champion, breed for perfect IVs and train for perfect EVs, search through the game's coding to find something that could be exploitable like a glitch, etc. You know, stuff everyone knows.

Yup, cute little critters like crickets, lions, phoenixes, lamps, etc.
I actually like this part. I mean, it's a nice way to introduce the touch screen, especially since the Poketch is entirely touch screen accessible.
And out pops a Munchlax, who's nearly impossible to get in any of these games (I'll explain why when the time comes, though you probably already know it). By the way, in Platinum, a Buneary comes out of the Pokeball instead.

But then I remembered that some of them are fainting machines.

Y'know, I always had this theory that the professors aren't the ones giving the spiels, but rather automated messages. Kind of justifies how they don't seem to know your gender, hmm?Birch doesn't have a robot though

I'm sorry, I just had absolutely no idea what to name her. Haven't played as the girl in a long time, and this was the first thing that popped in my head.
