• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Political correctness

Aren't most of the negative consequences of using the word "nigger" already crimes in themselves (hate speech, harassment, et cetera)?

People who are politically incorrect make me feel very embarassed to be human. That's all I have to say.

EDIT: I totally agree with Music Dragon here. The "N-Word" is extremely offensive to me no matter what [Note: This is because I only am attracted to black girls, so it sort of rubbed off on me]. How it's managed to be used so much in explicit rap music is beyond me. I mean, that word was intended to be racist.

I understand political correctness. But I believe in free speech. It's a sort of weird place to sit. I mean yes, certain words/phrases are offensive, but if that person wishes to use them and sound like an ass they have every right to. And you have every right to walk away/not pay any more attention. Yes I understand people have rights to be somewhere and not have to hear those things, but still that person has a human right to express his opinions.

That is basically what everyone in this thread is saying. You have every right to say whatever you want, but ideally saying certain things should be unacceptable in society. What we're all trying to do is move society in the direction of that ideal.
